Happy gaming! Glen
I really want to try Biomutant. Well done Glen
I have pre order it. I have it on mi xbox series x but I would like too see how it play on switch
I’ve always thought Biomutant would fit well in the Switch. It’s got that classic N64/GC platform adventure game. Let’s hope it runs really smoooooooth
I'm actually happy to see Biomutant on Switch. I've found that I have preferred most rpgs on handhelds. It's where I enjoyed Skyrim, Witcher 3, and Kingdoms of Amalur most.
I wouldn't really call those "RPGs." Maybe action-adventures with RPG elements. RPGs are games like Final Fantasy, Chained Echoes, the Xeno-series, Dragon Quest, etc. Just sayin.
@@johnnythewalruswitcher even has the sinking points into different upgrade elements some people insist is necessary for RPGs
I don't get it, are we saying RPGs have to have menu based combat where you are semi taken away from the spot you were standing in and immersion is broken ?
What is Skyrim missing?
@@johnnythewalrus It's fine if you wouldn't call them that, but you'd be wrong. The fact that you prefer JRPGs over Western RPGs doesn't make the latter any less RPG.
Game genre don't make sense, especially RPG genre. Game dev only include that because RPG genre have the most dense player base
@@rhytymic I agree yeah.
RPG as a term is tied to the format of the first few games in that basic mould but then rejects games that add excellent mechanics that keep the core of the style intact
Dang, Po'ed was a game I used to play years ago on ps1. It is basically a doom shooter. You are a chef whose kitchen & ship has been invaded by butt shaped, plasma blasting, walking monsters & other horrific looking demons. Taking them on with your trusty default frying pan along with a selection of guns & lasers you find throughout levels, plus you use a jetpack.
If I remember correctly, it also had splitscreen co-op, I may be wrong.
I LOVED every minute of Biomutant.I am sad it wasn't well received
Yes! It had alot of soul and cool concepts. I have NO idea why it got the hate it did, like any triple A game has ever met its hype lol.
@Juwce_86 Neither do I.I still want a sequel but I don't think it will happen 😞
@@Juwce_86 It had some cool 'concepts', yes, but the game was rougher than a dogs arse 😂
@UnjustifiedRecs for a small team with a potato string budget I'd say they did alright. Far better than the uninspired tripe that was battlefield 2042 or the new cod games. Imagination and art direction do alot for me.
Biomutant you say.. hm..🤔 never played it.
I'm glad someone is making New Release videos, it's impossible to see what is actually recently released on the eShop due to publishers releasing shovelware bundles every week of years-old games
Didn’t help either that publisher anniversaries and golden week sales end up flooding the first quarter either. There were some genuine must grabs for certain genres but quite a few of them were not new. Like, I think we had several Capcom stuff being put on sale recently and most of them had been low-key in the shop for months or, like you said, literal shovelware. Few of them were worthwhile and quite a bit of their listings were very genre specific.
That and sometimes they just repackaged something from older consoles to the switch as direct unchanged ports that could be well just have been added to NSO in their current form. Made me straight I think of those 1000 in one pirated cartridges for the NES and SNES systems back in the day.
The pixel art in read only memories is so gorgeous!
Biomutant is a cult classic; I love seeing it get a Switch port. Hoping it'll find more love; I'll get this version soon as I can.
If this is a cult classic for you, it's scary to think what you're playing...
@@Roman-gr4nu you make it sound like the game is worse than gollum
@@ldmun i never played gollum, but i did play about 10 hours of biomutant on my PS5 when it was added to PS+. it wasn't a horrible game, but i found it incredibly bland, which is almost worse than being bad.
@@ldmunThat's pretty much the definition of a cult classic, genius. If you're gonna correct someone on games, go argue with another 12 year old Fortnight douche.
Not someone who's played games 30+ years.
Ooh the Land Beneath Us looks right up my ally. I hope y'all review it!
Biomutant looks great and i'm glad that they've seemed to nail the performance while keeping the visuals very presentable even on docked mode. And Morbid The Lords of Ire surprised me, i played it's 2D predecessor and found it a bit simple (not easy, just simplistic) and short but the combat-, encounter- and mapdesign were superb. Like a small open world that slowly unlocked for you as you grew more powerful. So to see this continued in 3D now is pretty amazing to me.
Great video. And ohh I remember po'ed... I forgot about it completely
Biomutant and Braid are both definitely on My Radar !! Amazing Video as always Much Love ❤🇿🇦
Played biomutant at launch when it came out on pc, actually liked it a lot. Hope it runs well on switch. Tho morbid is my pick of the week. Game simply looks fantastic.
There are quite a few that have caught my eye unexpectedly. I would be keen to see SwitchUp reviews on Biomutant, Lysfanga and Morbid (really want this to be good, I need some Soulsborne in my life again). Cheers SwitchUp!
I love waking up to new vids!! Cheers!!
I 100% biomutant on pc. It's a great little gem for me, and you can alter how much the narrator speaks etc. I'll be buying it because I'm a sucker for games like it and I'm curious about the performance.
Waiting on your Morbid and Mutant reviews before buying. My backlog can't take any more duds 😅
Biomutant and monster outbreak look really cool. I played biomutant on the Xbox but it looks like they did at least a decent switch port so I’ll wait for a sale but I probably will add it to the collection. Good video guys
This was a great video! There’s so many new games that peak my interest!
land beneath us looks really interesting, been playing mystery dungeon lately so i'm primed to check that one out
I'm cautiously optimistic about Morbid. The trailers have gotten better with each release which lets me know the devs are trying. Biomutant is a likely buy.
Love the pixel artstyle for Monster Outbreak.
Stardew meets secret of Mana ?
Just bought Animal Well... Looks exactly like the platform game I have been waiting for all these years.. and didnt even know it was coming 😁
Just a little factoid for The Land Beneath Us and it's Welsh Mythology connection: In 1349 the plague hit Wales and caused a near 80% death rate. All those went to the underworld. £13.49 is the price of the game. Neat.
Super excited for Morbid sequel. Loved the first one!
I brought Hotel Hustle based off the video you published on it. It's fantastic, it feels like a slowed down Overcooked. Perfect for playing with a younger gamer.
I love isometric action games, lysfanga looks tempting. And not to forget, Biomutant is also interesting
Really hope biomutant has been brought over well. Hopefully a switchup review is coming our way!
I’ll wait for reviews for the Switch version of Biomutant. In the meantime I’ll be on Hotel Hustle
Very cool haha. Mark
Lysfanga and Lorelei both seem like something I would go for. I played Braid back in the day on xbox 360. Remember loving it at the time so curious about this re release.
Love your videos! I think "Lorelei" is pronounced "Laura-lye." :-)
Wow, the jump to 3D was kind to Morbid! Also Biomutant looks cool but that color pallette is pretty intense. Both look like they have a minor amount of jank.
Biomutant was fun on other platforms even if the gameplay loop got a little tired by the end. It did a lot of interesting things and the world was lush and dense with life/things to do.
Oh no the background music makes me want to take a nap, and it's only 9am here haha
Keeping it chill my dude. Haha
@@SwitchUpYt keeping it suicidal more like. Its awful.
Lysfangia and Hotel Hustle both look fun. I’d love to also see a review of Biomutant. I played a little on Xbox so I’d like to see how it matches up.
All these positive comments about Biomutant makes me so curious now. I'm gonna have to check it out!
Also, for those who love RPG card battlers in the vein of stuff like Slay the Spire, or Monster Train, RogueBook Deluxe is only about $7 US until May 19th. Includes the DLC expansions in the price.
Out of these games, the Neptunia game looked most interesting to me! Btw have you tried out or talked about a game called Tales of Kenzera: ZAU on this channel? The visuals caught my eye and I would love to hear your opinions on it, because you're my favourite Switch game reviewers.
Oh wow I knew night dive was working on POed but didn’t realize it was releasing so soon!super excited for anything they put out even tho I never played the original I’m super excited
The land beneath us is very solid! Played the demo on Xbox and had a ton of fun.
"This game has been out before." At this point, 90 percent of switch releases have been out somewhere else before 😂
I love the first Morbid when I played it on the Switch. I hope this one runs well on the Switch and of it does it's an instant buy from me
So excited to see we’re getting a port of PO’d. Its such a weird boomer shooter and not a lot of people have even heard of it. Definitely gonna be picking that one up!
Biomutant is the coolest looking game I've seen in a while. 😍😍
Truly an intersting week this time. Biomutant, Lysfanga or morbid? Or perhaps all if the the memory card allows it :p
That new Morbid looks nice
very interested in the morbid game, I played the previous one, never finished it though.. mostly due to how lost I get in it, kinda lacks a map. but otherwise enjoyable even if taken my time with it, but I am more interested in a 3d version of it, however I hope it will get some reviews out, for switch and PC; so I can see where I should pick it up, if to pick it up... as it is releasing for PC at the same time. but I do prefer to game on switch, when the port is good
I'd be interested in a review of Biomutant (even though I've started a second play through of Darksiders 3, got Darksiders Genesis to start & a backlog of other games lol)
Lysfanga looks very cool. Might have to pick this one up.
Biomutant and Morbid look neat to me….I have yet to start playing animal well which I picked up last week!
Biomutant looks really good. Parts of it remind me a bit of one of my favorite underrated roguelites, RAD. I'll definitely have to give it a shot.
Agree that Lorelei looks interesting...hopefully you can give us a full review...
Lysfanga looks veeery interesting.
I really enjoyed Morbid. Seems like they made a huge step forward in terms of visuals. Maybe I will buy it if it scores well.
PO'd takes me back to my Duke Nukem PC childhood days. Can't believe I'm hearing that name again
Monster Outbreak is right up my alley. Be pickin that up for sure.
Oh wow, I didn't expect biomutant to get a port. Never played that. I might get that along with Animal Well when I can.
biomutant always looked so cool to me
Braid looks cool. I never played the original. I’ll probably pick it up eventually, but currently I’m too deep in the animal well.
The amount of possitve feedback regarding Biomutant is really intriguing.
It was actually a great game dogpiled for some reason. A small team made it on a potato string budget and to be honest I got my moneys worth. So much so I'll be buying it again on switch. Is it for everyone? Absolutely not, but if you have imagination in older age then it'll tickle that.
New microphone? Audio sounds slightly higher (still quality! Just a bit different)
The original Morbid was so dark but so good. I can't wait to get my hands on Lord's of Ire.
I feel old getting hyped for PO'ed while everyone else is talking about Biomutant like its ancient. PO'ed is a doom clone from the 90's where, if memory serves me, you play a space chef. Yep, a chef. The default melee weapon is a frying pan. And you shoot weird aliens. I played the hell out of it on ps1 when i was a youngen.
Roman city tycoon might be good but for me neptunia game maker R evolution is one of my most excited games for the year.
so excited for Lorelei & The Laser Eyes!
Don't know if it's any good but the land beneath us has a heck of a lot of style! That art design is on point
Monster outbreak looks good. Will there be a review?
10:19 Goodness me. Morbid! Hopefully this game has some improvements from Seven Acolytes. I didn't like Acolytes at all as there was no map in place for example.
Nice week indeed.❤😊
Will you be reviewing Animal Well?
Yes yes and yes about Biomutant! Can't wait!!! I don't care if the graphics are downgraded or cap at 30fps. As long as it runs decently well on the Switch. I enjoy the game so much. I couldn't understand why it was badly received.
Yeah Biomutant was a great game, I got it on PS5 I will probably pick it up on Switch at some point.
lol. Because it was trash. Duh.
@@tgk3624 Same here. I enjoy the game so much. I have almost 400 hours on the PS4 from trying out different classes. 😆
@@xcrack6364 Fair. That's your opinion, I accept it. We all have our own games we consider not great and don't like.
I truly enjoy playing the game. I couldn't get enough of it when I first picked it up. I played for hours on end. 😂
Hotel hustle looks so cute! And a steal for an opening price!
Biomutant interests me but as per I’ll be looking out for you guys review. I heard it hit panned on other platforms?
Didn’t even run on other platforms, game was a dump, isn’t worth the price tag, don’t buy it
Such a bummer, i missed the big sale for Octopath traveller 2 😢 guess have to wait for another sale event
Biomutant had passed me by on PlayStation, but I might give it a go on Switch…following a SwitchUp review maybe…?
Morbid has definitely cuaght my eye...
Morbid seems interesting.
I beat po'ed, for the 3d0 .....its weird but fun and I intend to buy it again
The Land Beneath Us intrigues me. The demo wasn't too shabby either.
First one reminds me 100% of that imaginary friends from Cartoon Network back in the days.
For Monster Outbreak, these types of game i, personally feel, would work better on PC.
Mainly due to my incompetence of aiming with my right joystick
I love Biomutant on Xbox, had it known that it will get a switch version at the time i bought it, i would have waited. I also love the soundtrack
I wonder if Biomutant has improved through patches. A lot of reviews noted problems at release.
I hope you guys will get an early copy of ace combat thats upcoming make a video about it.
Thats the only game im excites for this year xD
Me to my overstuffed backlog: I know last time I said it was the last time...but I just saw some amazing games - how much further can you stretch?
Ohhh finally biomutant! If it runs well im there 🎉
Can i request an performance review for biomutant? Would love to know how it runs before buying
You shall get it sir. Mark
Lysfanga looks interesting
Read Only Memories and Lorelei for me
The time shift warrior reminds me of a game called hero up it hade a Similar future
Wow po'ed. I had this for my very short lived 3DO console!
Biomutant looks like it's a great time
Hotel hustle looks like a really cute party game, very basic conparison but has overcooked vibes.
Also biomutant was a game i was super excired for at first release, but it wound up a huge disappointment and i couldnt bring myself to finish the game. Im sure some wil enjoy it, but just not for me
Doing the Marge Simpson bit holding a -potato- game "I just think it's neat"
I had to buy a bigger SD card because of this channel 😂
Morbid looks good. The switch needs more souls-likes
Uh quiet a few interesting games here 🤩
I got Biomutant on PS5 pretty cheap but haven't actually played it yet
Will you cover animal well?
Wow...definitely have my eye on many games coming out this week! My poor wallet...
Po ed was a 3do release back in 90s I'm intrigued to see what it looks like as it was a blury mess back then but I still liked it for what it was a cheap doom clone of sorts
