    Absolutely love my FHF FOB! I have accessories pouches for archery, rifle, bear spray and they are all interchangeable! I have a tote full of other brands and this one is by far the most customizable and best fitting for having on all day.

    That’s the original style marsupial gear bino harness. They now make a fully enclosed version so no longer have to worry about dust/debris getting in.

    Enjoyed this one as well... i personally went with the kuiu bino harness... the only drawback ive found is i prefer a rangefinder pocket that opens back to front like the bino harness itself. That said i will just drop a rangefinder in a hot minute to draw on a bull. Thank you for the review.

      Check this out. Could be a better option than a rangefinder pocket. I have one and it feels like it’s going to work well this year

    Odd that Kuiu doesn't even get a mention. Been running one for 2 years now and love it. No magnets, forward opening, rangefinder and cell phone compartments that lock in tight on the wings, comfortable strapping, and whisper quiet one hand operation.

      Actually, KUIU did get a mention…and is part of my eval spreadsheet…but I have not examined personally and therefore don’t rank with the other 7. I’m sure it’s solid…as most harnesses are…glad it’s working for you. Thanks for the feedback.

    Got a subscribe from me. Solid video that’s straight to the point. Seems some biased commenters made their way here too, but as you said, these harness are subjective. What one person likes another might not really care that much about. As for me, I just ordered the Eberlestock Recon. Excited to get it and check it out!

    Marsupial enclosed case all day long, had you bought the right one that would have been higher than the initial ranking.

    • @HuntDetail
      @HuntDetail  ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually, no. I understand that they offer an enclosed case but their harness didn’t stack up…even with an enclosed bino bucket.
      Great harness though…just not the best.

  • @Quantumanticz
    @Quantumanticz ปีที่แล้ว +1

    After meeting Paul the founder of FHF I can see him shaking his head at the way you didn’t double Magnet the front opening. Pull down that opening, fold it up and push it against itself, it’ll stop flapping.

    • @HuntDetail
      @HuntDetail  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure. It folds further down…beyond the magnet. Despite the fact that I didn’t fold it down, it was still solid…that magnet keeps it there. Great product for sure…just a smidge too expensive. Had they included the wings - silly that they didn’t - then it would be a better value. The Badlands X2 is actually the best of the bunch this year.
      Thanks for the feedback.

      I agree, with a rangefinder pouch and another accessory on the other side and bottom you’re looking at over $400 after tax for that setup.:.

    For the price of some of those harnesses they should be better thought out. It's in the details. Did they really test them for the important things hunter's would want? Hunting product manufactures? Noise, water protection, comfort, practicality. Hit and miss. For the price the Spika does just as well. And then there's fit for straps and binos.

    • @highcountryoutdoor
      @highcountryoutdoor ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd encourage you to take a better look at the FHF Gear FOB. It IS the most thought out harness system that's on the market. Yea, its a little pricy but well worth every cent. This video only covered about 10% of the features of that product. There are plenty of vids out there showing it in more detail.

      @@stalker7892 The objective of this video…and the subsequent video…was to provide an unbiased…non sponsored…zero affiliate…look at 7 different harnesses…and to help viewers identify where performance intersects with value. For some, the Spika harness would be fine…others may like the Marsupial. The FHF FOB is legit…but with add ons…it’s the price of a day pack or a pair of nice hunting boots…not sure it has that much more value/performance than what else is out there.
      The Badlands X2 is new and is the best in class in my opinion. It comes in at $140

    • @highcountryoutdoor
      @highcountryoutdoor ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@HuntDetail yea man you barely scratched the surface of the features of that harness and truthfully most of them. But that’s really at no fault to you. You did a great job of giving a general overview of all the harnesses in the video. It would be pretty difficult to list every feature of every harness and keep an interesting an engaging video for the audience. My point to the author of this comment was that there are many features you didn’t mention that are exactly “designed” by hunters for hunters that justify the price imo.

  • @travisscott6257
    @travisscott6257 ปีที่แล้ว

    which one has the most comfortable shoulder straps?

    • @HuntDetail
      @HuntDetail  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, I would say the straps on the FHF are the most well designed and likely the most comfortable. They are wide and they have laser cut ventilation along the entire strap.

  • @highcountryoutdoor
    @highcountryoutdoor ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video but you really didn't deep dive into the details of any of those harnesses. I'm sure you may have captured some of that info on your spreadsheets but a simple ranking of harness systems based on a point system of features will reveal the real winner. Some have way more features than mentioned that will serve hunters looking for the right system for their budget.

    • @HuntDetail
      @HuntDetail  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, I’m the spreadsheet I list “pros” and “cons”. When I evaluated Hunt Map Applications…it was much easier to grade with a point system as the lack or layers or tools = lower point.
      With harnesses, I think there is more subjectivity. I prefer a lot of molle panels…places for attachments…etc…but someone that is just a whitetail hunter may not need that (no holster, no bear spray, etc.).
      Also, I view thin straps as a con…I prefer webbing or a strap yoke. But, I can see how others may prefer a simple strap.
      All that said, I will keep that in mind for future reviews. Thanks for the feedback.

    • @highcountryoutdoor
      @highcountryoutdoor ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HuntDetail yea man it’s a great video and you can tell you put a lot of work into it for sure and I agree. A lot of the features are going to be subjective to the hunter in mind. I also love the molle attachment options which is why I think the FHF stands far above just given the accessories options the company itself has available beside the mass amount of other molle accessories! I mean they even have a bipod holder!! 🤯 plus those hand muff warmers are legit for cold season hunts. Great work. Can’t wait to see what you do next! 👊🏻

    • @HuntDetail
      @HuntDetail  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s phenomenal. It’s clearly designed to be worn all day and not cut into your shoulders the way cheaper straps would. It also has laser cut out areas that allow heat to escape. The best harness of all in my opinion.
      But, the price is just too much for me. Other harnesses are solid and have a price point that works.

    With all due respect this was not an accurate representation. You used the cheapest marsupial offered. Their enclosed bino harness is the gold standard bar none

    • @HuntDetail
      @HuntDetail  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      So, for $130 I get the enclosed opening and a strap upgrade…which is great. But it doesn’t change the harness markedly. Still the same number of pockets, etc.
      That said…when I look at FHF, AGC, Eberlestock, Badlands, the new one from Kifaru….they are all adding “wings” or additional molle panels for hunters to customize,etc….Marsupial forces me to put my rangefinder on my straps…not a fan of that personally. It’s a solid harness…and like I said in the vid…one I would use…but just not the best.
