What a weird coincidence that the most powerful cards keep getting printed in the limited print and universes beyond products 🙃
For 1 green, Legolas Quick Reflexes is absurd. Split-second, untap, hexproof, reach, and "Fight"...for 1 mana. This makes the other fight cards look like a waste of cardboard. Kinda wild that Mondrak and Norn traded places, pricewise.

I just traded in my Orcish Bowmaster for both the Virtue cards in the video plus a few others since they will gel nicely with my Knight deck of Sidar Jibari. I had been trying to use Orcish Bowmaster but it didn't fit in any of my already made decks and once I understood how it worked I wasn't all that interested in playing it.
Mithril Coat and Etali are on my wishlist. I also just love all of the Doctor Who cards. I pulled two full art Orcish Bowmasters from packs. Crazy how expensive they are! They are pretty broken.

Atraxa cam get 9 cards. Tribal is still a card type. It was omitted from the reminder text due to no tribal cards being in the standard environment.
@19:42 = what is crazy is that in tandem with the Doctor Who Displaced dinosaurs green card that says when a historic permanent comes into play under your control it also get the type dinosaur 7/7 ... i didn't realize until now how crazy it was.. .HISTORICS = mean legendary creatures (all doctors and companions) become 7/7 dinos atop their own type ?
I'm excited for the western themed set this year. I want to play as a spell-wielding cowboy.

I just built an ojer deck that when my engine is on I’m getting x24 creature token gen…..let’s just say I love putting 1000 4/4 flying trample indestructible haste angels on my board in a turn….its quite fun

Another reason why this card can be super, SUPER dangerous is if you're running a green/blue detect with Court of Vantress.
"At the beginning of your upkeep, choose up to one other target enchantment or artifact. If you're the monarch, you may create a token that's a copy of it. If you're not the monarch, you may have Court of Vantress become a copy of it, except it has this ability."
You copy that card, and you're still the Monarch or flash in Court of Vantress and become the monarch before your turn, you just doubled + doubled the number of counters. Combine that with
Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, you just created an absolute CRAP TON of counters on a monster. Now..., combine that with a creature like Ghalta, Primal Hunger and do something like Biogenic Upgrade, you're looking at a rather nasty creature.
Crazy how much etali went up in value over time
Etali spiked because of the dino precon in LCC. Some other never reprinted dinos of og Ixalan spiked from two euro to over 20 euro. I´d expect the Etali price dropping when the high demand of LCI is going away. The curve on MTG Stocks and Cardmarket shows a plateau atm.
The two old Ghaltas spiked too but not as harsh since Ghalta and Mavren got a foil print in every single MOM bundle and Primal Hunger just got a reprint in CMM.
So if I’ve got Elesh Norn and Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider out, I would double the counters going on a creature as it enters the battlefield, then double again due to Elesh copying Vorinclex’s trigger?
Is that right?
Edit: On something like a Hydra getting X counters as it ETBs, I mean?

low key Broadside Bombardiers is one of the reasons I moved on from Yuriko to Grixis ninja, pirate, rogue shenanigans. Having him and an orcish bowmaster has been hell for opponents.... plus I can yeet someone with Master of Cruelties and any ninjutsu in the hand.

Forth Eorlingas price is nonsense, that could have been a clutch piece for Gwyn but I don’t like that deck enough to drop that much.
Universes Beyond is ruining Commander for me the same way Alchemy is ruining Historic Brawl.

Solid cards that sustain value are great for the the health of the game. Asking for value cards to be banned is destructive for all magic formats. If all valuable cards are banned and/or hit zero the entire game will not last much longer at all.
Certainly but bans are also needed for cards that promote bad play patterns and can just ruin the game.
This idea that CCGs *must* have financially valuable cards to survive is complete nonsense.
If you owned four copies of every card ever printed, you’re telling me you’d stop buying *new* cards?
If WotC/Hasbro were so inclined, they could put four of every card a new set contains in one box, price it equal to 4x the current price of a current booster box, and those boxes would *fly* off the shelves even at 480$ a pop.
Price-point too high a barrier for some people? Put *one* copy of each card in the Set into a box, and sell it for 25% of what you’re selling the four-of-everything boxes.
You’d still have a secondary market, but it would be tamed and under WotC’s control without their needing to make a potentially legally troublesome claim on it.
It’s my hope we’ll eventually reach the point that serialized and alt-art Rares will eventually become the near-exclusive focus of “Investors.”
Right now, the secondary market is so out of whack, reprints are soaring to 85-90% of the original’s price while the reprints set is still on shelves.
Defeating the entire purpose of reprinting a card to begin with from a player’s perspective.
How do I *know* this would work? Yugioh Master Duel proved it to me.
Konami began putting a play set of widely used Ultra Rare cards in their precon decks, and players with zero interest in the actual Precon still bought them for the guaranteed play set of a single desirable Ultra Rare.

I’ve noticed this with a few MtG creators (I’m sure it’s not exclusive just to this tcg, but I’m only part of this tcg community). I know there can be a lot of text, but man some people are just listening or just prefer to read along with what people are saying.

I hate the term "broken" being thrown around for cards that are just good magic cards. EDH community are prone to being blown out by a new card they didnt know or a deck being built around one really good interaction then pulling out the pitchforks and screaming "BAN IT, THAT'S BROKEN". Softest community 👍🏻
