As a side note, I’ve travelled the world, was a musician for over 30 years and can categorically say some of the best bands I’ve ever seen are from the Philippines……they are extremely talented people
It's pretty impressive how Byron Garcia had superbly remarkably transformed the prison system. So glad & pleased to see the way he treats each inmate individually. Watching these guys dancing is amazingly fascinating. Dancing is good for the soul & the mind. Overall, for the pysche. Mr. Garcia I commend you for the extraordinary job well done. You must be very proud of who you are. Keep up the good work, Sir. A legacy you will leave behind for people to remember & cherish you. I give my respect for all that have spiritual leanings in them. For them to know & believe that there is a God is remarkable. They all look happy with smiles in their faces made possible by Mr. Garcia. Thank you for sharing this video. It is worth watching for. It is interesting!
Thing is, if anyone even thought about doing anything to her they would be in a lot of trouble with the other prisoners. So there is really no need to worry for her now.
There's a lot to be said about the power of music and dance. My daughter is a 3rd grade reacher. Every morning before class begins, she plays a dance song and the kids dance to it. Daughter said it helps children feel good and sets them up for learning. Oftentimes children come to school feeling stressed i.e. about what's going on at home , etc.
This man is a genius! So inspiring and his philosophy of life is beautiful. Who knew someone with a fresh eye (no prison experience) could bring so much Light to a dark place, changing people's lives for the better. Wow, that guy is my HERO!
I admire his duties and willingness as a prison official. Lot changes done and prisoner happy and no big trouble at all I congratulate him for duty. God Bless you always.
this guy came from a famous political family in cebu island, he's dad is a former governor there & now his sister is running the show ....... so glad to hear that he's doing a good job running the prison ......
I think this is an example to ALL prisons!! Not only is it great exercise, it’s FUN!! Music helps so much!! I disagree with his sister’s refusal of money from P&G for a commercial. It could have been used to IMPROVE prison conditions, FOOD, upkeep of the prisons, maybe paying guards more so they aren’t such easy targets for corruption!
We sometimes forget the true purpose of prison to reform criminals into modern society I believe this formal rehabilitation really helps out if prisoners are frustrated they can do it through the art of dance that would definitely lessen animosity
I think this gentleman, Byron García, had the right idea by introducing to the inmates a therapy of music and dancing that would help them tremendously. This therapy is definitely working out for each and everyone of them in a very positive way, so the inmates realize that they are worthy given a second chance, and that life is not about violence and crime but an opportunity to feel good about themselves to be redeemed and become a law abiding citizens. And it has worked so far as Mr. García said: the inmates’ behavior has definitely changed for the better. Good for you Mr. García, good for you. Your therapy is working fine. Hats off to you on a job well done. Bravo bravo 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌🙌👍👍👍👍🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Been binging on crime documentaries so I clicked on this and what a good surprise!. Truly inspirational! God is good all the time. Some of the guys have changed and hope they will be free because they can contribute more to society after their rehabilation from prison.
In my opinion it’s GOOD for them to Dance in Prison! Lots of Good advantages! 1, their bodies are getting exercised and gets coordinated! 2 their minds gets busy and they ll get motivated for good ideas,,not bad ideas.they’ll get encouraged to do good and become better not bitter.when people starts admiring them for good dancing skills, they’ll be motivated to do good! And change for the better.if they know carpentry? They’ll thing of ideas to do a project and do it well! Dancing has lots of advantages,…thanks to those who think of this PROGRAM! …Seattle Washington,USA
This is a very clever method to minimize animosities among inmates, bring unity among them, boost their morales, and improve their health while enduring their time until they are released. Sana maging system-wide eto na gagawin. Ayos talaga na na implement yung manga Biblical Precepts & Principles para ba ay ma inculcate ng maayos na character sa manga lahat na tao jan. Kasinga, "Righteousness exalts a Nacion, but inquity is a reproach to any people".
Ganito ka ganda yung kulungan at ka linis at may unity yung lhat ng mga preso khit tumagal kpa cguro dto na makulong ok lng hinde mo mramdaman yung lungkot i salute to the man who handle this jail godblez
Whats even an better dance from them is the following video showing them after they had been trained by a MJ choreographer, titled : Michael Jacksons This is It - They don't care about us - Dancing inmates HD
No, he's not a jail warden, he doesn't have any jail management background, according to him also. There's a system in jail management in the Philippines, a warden must be a police with an equivalent rank of colonel to general. He's appointed by his sister who's the governor of the province as a jail consultant. He just came up with the idea to make the PERSONS DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY(PDL, prisoners) time worthy. By the way, we don't call the prisoners anymore, they're PDLs, to give them dignity even if they were convicted.
That wonderful routing of prisoners good vibes and good for the health great dancing inmates... Less troubles bec. Good vibes for every inmates.. Bravo for the Jail coordinator... Good mindset for inmates...
Cleaver, dancing can get them to be fit since dancing make people bend and sweat from a lot of movement. Also the beat of the music would get them to follow the rhythm of the songs.
Although I haven't watched this video before but I know that, dance is also therapeutic, not just for the body, but for the brain, and when you add music, it actually becomes fun, to test your body, based on what you hear and I remember when I was stationed in Germany, I would go to the bar,and look for the GERMAN GIRLS,and when they played AMERICAN ROCK-N-ROLL,they would dance by themselves, so it gave me an opportunity to practice my dancing by myself, many moves I couldn't do, because they were to difficult, and you have to be strong physically,I call it MIND OVER MATTER,to push the boundaries, of limitations, very simple concept, except when you try, it's not easy.
Carry on your good work Sir From your spritual work of Mercy Its not too late to change For all the people in care Its very good example to the whole world What you are doing God Blessing to all of you Amen
Even this people committed a crime and sentence to jail but they show the world theres a peace in jail not the scene we watch in a action movies. Thats why im still simply proud to my countryman they show theres a change in prison
A happy child, growing up in a good environment will always share the positivity to others. B.G. understood the bitterness/ frustration of life and even prisoners have a heart and only how you get them. Not adding anger and frustrations. Make them ready to society upon released.
I think they're making positive thinking and happy themselves. Keep them busy while inside. Is such boring when you stock in one room. Bravo👏👏👏👏 Mr. Garcia you made them proud happy people prisoners in Cebu also Im proud in them. As they are look so happy faces.❤❤❤

Filipinos are very respectful. Seeing visitors they greeted them, but there's also a hint that they were ordered, whoever it is, as long as visitors or they will be punished. There's no problem with that, knowing them, I just think that these people will not greet others because of their situation.
I remember when Michael Jackson’s choreographer came to do a dance with them, he mentioned in the interview that several who joined were high risks criminals with serious cases…the dance is on TH-cam still.
plz organize a grand performance of these criminal which will recorded by every country media . plz also inclued your performance in genius world record book .i 100 % percent sure they work hard to perform well in front of world media.

That girl has balls to be alone with thousands of criminals
She did admit she was scared
Thing is, if anyone even thought about doing anything to her they would be in a lot of trouble with the other prisoners. So there is really no need to worry for her now.

Actually, the most dangerous criminals are not the ones imprisoned, but those who are still at large or living freely as if they are innocent .

Thats a great idea. Good on the prison warden for giving back to the inmates.
