My neighbor use to hunt on Wolfe Island (the first island of the St. Lawrence) and he was teaching me how to make decoys before he passed. I miss him, him was a good friend and now both of my kids have one of his decoys in their rooms. They aren't old enough to remember him but because of his decoys I can share his stories as we make our own. I hope that one day I can show them how to make decoys and his legacy and stories will live on. I miss my friend but I'm very grateful for the time that we had.

Every time I watch these movies, it makes me proud to be a decoy carver.
