- I’m comparing my new hair topper from the Lauren Ashtyn Collection (Full Volume in color Sophia) to my previous topper (the Enchantop medium from Gorgeous Strandz in color 4b and then custom colored). This is a 100% honest review as I am not affiliated with either company.

I NEVER leave a comment but I 100% agree with Lacie and everyone else that bought a Lauren Ashtyn topper. I received my LAC full extension topper last week; I was so excited and thought that I could put it on right out of the box like the video shows. The color is beautiful and the hair is so soft BUT the base is horrible, doesn’t sit flat, doesn’t blend and looks wiggy; the clips are really thick, hard to open and doesn’t grab or hold my hair at the front. I have not worn it and will have to do some major tweaking to it to see if I can make it work. I wish I saw this video before I wasted a $1000 on a topper that I can’t wear.
Oh this breaks my heart 💔 I’m so sorry you’ve had such a rough experience! I think this topper is definitely best for someone who still has quite a bit of hair and should be worn with a topper grip. I also think the style is best with a lot of volume and a messier look to help with blending. I hope you’re able to make it work because it’s such an expensive piece!!! Hi 🙋♀️ just try to change a front clip in to a smaller one, like she schows in a clip, i allways have to adjust my toppers because they never ever are so perfect as shown 🙈🤩

This post is spot on. Just purchased the smaller top. I feel like its really meant for those with plenty of hair towards the front, so that you can place it 2 finger tips behind the hairline and blend. I struggle here, and the front looks very un-natural and quite obvious. And as you noted, i would prefer a natural part. Although the hair feels great, I feel like its driven more for those with a full head of hair and looking for extra volume. A flatter style with a natural part and front should be made for those with thinning hair. For 750, I'll have to make it work. Maybe with a sharpie for the front. :)

In art supply stores they have permanent markers in any shade you could ever want! I bought 3 different taupe colors (my hair is Med-light ash blonde), which I use to add light roots to synthetic hair, as well as coloring edges of toppers. Works like a charm! I also use a bit of rooting powder to blend my hair with the topper in front. I have a Gorgeous Strandz topper which has lasted me just shy of 5 years with excellent care. I do rotate with a few other toppers, but that’s the one I’ve used the most. I agree about the quality of the hair; it’s ok- wiry Chinese hair that I have consistently used oil treatments on plus intensive conditioners for human hair pieces (by BeautiMark) under heat. But it finally died. The base is pretty great in that it lies so close to the scalp. I floored the beauticians in a hair salon when I took it off!

I've been saving money for a full topper for months and almost bought a lauren Ashtyn topper- even sent pictures of my hair from 5 different views- Ive never had a hair topper and have been researching honest reviews- thank you for your uTube video's - I've learned so much!. I probably should schedule an appointment with you since I really don't want to do bio hair damage either. I'll look up Enchantop and Dimples- Korene

Florida and with our SUPER HOT summer approaching, I’m desperate for a high-quality monotop topper, in light ash blonde, 16-18” long, so I’d be grateful for recommendations! My Enchantop is beyond dead after a couple years. ☹️ I don’t mind investing in a higher-quality piece as they last longer and look better. Thanks a million! 🌺
Hey Deborah! Check out Dimples Hair! The Clio 12L actually measures 14” (middle part to ends) and can be cut in as a layer. It’s my most favorite monotop I’ve tried! They are a little shorter but since the density is lower they can make a great top layer for most people and blend in beautifully with your longer bio hair 🤗

You did all the work for me ❤️ I need something that will cover my roots and gray hairs 😱 Since the lock down, I haven’t been able to see my hair colorist. I’m hoping that a topper will work- I have long thick hair and $400. is the cost of 2 color appointments ! By not coloring my hair as often, it stays healthier and my costs are down- win/win situation! I would have made the wrong decision without your help! Thanks again ❤️

I purchased the "light" version of this topper a few months ago & I have to agree with you. I paid almost $1k for it & have yet to wear it in public. The part & lifting & uncomfortable aspects of it are totally unrealistic. I was super disappointed. After trying cheap versions of this product, I thought the price and luxury of it were going to solve all of the issues mentioned above. I got it colored at the ends to make it fit my hair a little more. Currently looking for a weave/wig stylist to work a part into it, sew some hair underneath the hairline, & do something about that big clip up front. If the return policy wasn't so stringent & almost non-existent, I much rather would've preferred to return this product & not have to deal with the extra hassle of owning it & now having to justify the expense.

I had a hard time finding an honest review as well before buying. It's so hard to spend so much money on something that you can't try out beforehand and there are no returns.
I agree with you. The Lauren Ashtyn hair is the best quality hair I have ever seen, but the base just doesn’t look real at all. It seems to be made more for people that aren’t thinning, which doesn’t make sense. I wonder if there is anything that can be done to fix it.
I actually spoke with Lauren Ashtyn customer service and asked if there was anything I could do to fix the topper since they would not exchange it. There receipt says all sales final. I was told nothing can be done to fix it. Maybe I will try on my own.
I thought about writing to them and offering this idea. I'm no expert about topper making but it doesn't seem that complicated to create better bases. I agree that it would look better on someone with a lot more hair but then what is the point of wearing one?

I’ve been learning more about different kinds of bases and I’ve learned that this base offers a lot more volume on the top but a silk base will look more natural but with less volume. So I suppose it’s just personal preference.
Excellent review and you are right, just go ahead and color the edge with a brown sharpie. The topper looks very good but $1000 is too high.
Crap! I was totally about to get one but Im worried for the pricw I would pay that I wont like it. My hair is way thin and I wanted to get a topper buuuuhhhht uh I wish it wasnt so darn expensive. Either that or AT LEASt allow free returns.

Hello I've been needing to order a hair topper almost ordered LAC thank you for sharing your review. I've seen Haircesrry reviews but I'm not sure which to order.
I've never heard of that company but if you check out the other comments on this video people have recommended Uniwigs and Lusta hair and some others that are probably worth looking at. Good luck!
I'm thinking about ordering the Jon Renau French easipart, looks very realistic but it's a bit pricy. let us know what topper you bought, please :)
@@cocog3276 I have a couple Jon Renau HH Easiparts and a HH Easipart XL. The hair is coarse Chinese hair, they don’t provide much coverage, and they’re uncomfortable as they clip on to fragile hair.
I am looking into hidden crown and lauren ashyton, but the price!!! I think I will go with hidden crown, but I still want to look at options. Are there better crown toppers out there? And if so, which do you recommend the highest.
I bought a Topper from Lauren Ashton. Worst fpurchase of my life. The scalp does not look real and is too thick and the topper is too thin at the bottom. They have the worst customer service no refunds no exchanges. They will find someway not to refund your money or help you in anyway they block you if you have Any questions
I recently purchased a human hair topper from luster. The hair is beautiful I don’t know how it could be any better. And the price is much lower. Check out her website. It’s kind of hard to figure out which color but she does have lots of videos on Instagram
Sorry, meant I ordered from. Lusta hair. Everything is perfect! Big base, full density, real looking part and lays flat. The prices are way lower! I only wish I would have Known before buying the synthetic Rachel Welch and jon renae. I did my research but it’s hard to filter thru all the reviews and info ou there!

Hello Dear, if You would change the front clip it would stay flat, i had this Problem with almost all toppers, this is too big clip and these hold verry bad, from other topper the clip is perfect👍🤩

Depends on what you're looking for. I like the Enchantop for a first timer because it's so inexpensive and I was really hard on my first one, learning how to make it work for me. The Lauren Ashtyn one costs more but the hair is amazing. I also really dislike the base. I've looked at some more companies since that have what looks like the best of both worlds, great hair and a great base. Check out Lustahair, The Lucie Collection, and some others people have suggested. Just do your homework and decide what is most important to you.
Wow for how much $$$$ the Lauren Ashtyn is they could do much better on that base. Even with better & thicker hair that edge is a deal breaker.
It was $1000. I agree I was disappointed in the base but I still figured out a way to wear it and blend the front. The volume you can get on top is amazing!

Lauren ashtyn super pricey and the scalp base so fake looking like a cheap wig. Try hidden crown they are better and about 450. Also very light and the clips don’t pull much at all

I have not seen very many good reviews. Most have said it fits horrible and looks very wiggy so they don’t wear it. I have not and will not purchase , one because of the reviews, two because in these times who can afford $500-$1000 dollars ?? I think that is just outrageous !!!! Yes I would like a topper but even more so I need to make sure I have a roof over my head, good on the table and bills paid. Obviously this line of toppers is for the rich !! I just can’t justify

I've looked at those ones and several others since buying the LAC one. It's too bad I don't have unlimited funds and I would just buy a bunch and try them out. But I do think I'll be going with a different company for my next one. Now that I know super specifically what I"m looking for. Thanks for the recommendation!

Thanks! I've learned a few work arounds to make the front blend in better. But the Enchantop was definitely easier to blend in the front.
Don’t do a review and then not even show details properly. You have no idea how to show products up close to the camera. I couldn’t see anything!
