I kinda find it interesting that Sky One had a kids block of it's own, right up until they decided to stop the block as most of the shows were moved to the newly launched Fox Kids, on top of also launching a new channel, Sky 2, in the process for extra shows Sky couldn't fit on the main channel. Given that Sky now has a reasonably popular kids app which hosts a lot of content which would definitely work on TV, I'm sorta surprised Sky haven't settled on making a new Sky Kids channel. That is unless Nickelodeon will literally kill them for it like they did when Fox Kids was launching.
@Dark Dragon 772 When you first sent this, I didn't believe you but when I went to go and check the Sky Kids section, yeah, apparently they are. Crazy.
@@Allanbuzzy Sky One practically transferred it's whole block of kids programmes to Fox Kids UK when it started in late 96. They would show very little kids programming for a few years but that increased a bit again and them returning to have a semi-regular block around due to the success of Pokemon toward the end of the decade.
This would have been the following Sunday morning after the last clip you mentioned, which would have been on the Saturday before. You can tell due to the new Simpsons episode being advertised as Sundays was when they would show new episodes. Perfect Family looked like Sky's take on an American sitcom for kids. The audio only went quieter for a few moments but otherwise is fine. That Whiskas ad was an alternate version of an ad that only had the text and music playing originally but around this time they added narration to it saying what was being said on screen. I guess that version was from 1995, while this narrated one was from 1996. This would be the last day that version of the Nickelodeon video ad would air to be replaced with the narrated one and the fact that videos were released, as this ad shown here was a pre-release ad. I guess your still baffled that the satellite channels still helped each other out by advertising on themselves huh? :D Thanks once again for uploading this. :)
Thank _you_ once again! I've seen ads of Nickelodeon being promoted during the breaks on CITV - that's even weirder, because they were in direct competition. Good memory on the various narration on those ads! Perfect Family definitely looks like a knowing parody of something, so I wonder whether it a specific take-off or just a pastiche in general.
@@VideotapeFTW You're welcome as always. :) I'm going to suggest that it was supposed to be a simple take on American Sitcoms and exaggerated to the point where it's supposed to be amusing, of course one or two sitcoms may have directly influenced it who can say? I wouldn't say that they were in direct competition because starting around 1997 I think, it could have been 1996, CITV began airing Nicktoon; Hey Arnold! on their lineup of shows. If they were in direct competition I doubt Nickelodeon would have given them the go ahead for it? And then of course Angry Beavers came to SMTV: Live later. So I guess it's down to who could afford the rights to air which show etc, or just simply who was interested in airing particular shows.

Don't you have any episodes of Shoot in full?
Sadly no. I did have one, but the tape got thrown away a while ago.
This is the closest to complete episode on my channel: th-cam.com/video/1ImC7zDxlJQ/w-d-xo.html
@@VideotapeFTW Yes I've seen that.
The exact date is January 28th 1996
How do you know that
@@johnhall2006 I went on IMDb and found the exact Simpsons episode that appeared that day
@@bradleyhyde8975 wow. I would not think of that
Some sites are listing the 138th Episode Spectacular as premiering in the UK on 4th February 1996.
@@bradleyhyde8975 You didn't take to consideration that date could actually be the American date, not the British one.
