We're still looking for recordings of ten Pink Windmill episodes - if you want to help the search, please watch (and share) this video: th-cam.com/video/NbBdkfEdGC0/w-d-xo.html
I look at that last clip of all the Kids plus Rod and Emu, and I can only think… of all those people, only one of them never lived beyond 1999 to see how his creation became popular decades later and how future viewers would think of him and what he’s done for us to even be watching (and meme-ifying) the Pink Windmill in 2024 and beyond. The Windmill remains open for anyone to spend a day there, I guess!
So glad you're still active and putting out videos, I thought you'd stopped. So glad you decided to mark the 40th anniversary. I wonder if the gang are thinking of doing anything special like another reunion like they did for Co,ic relief 7 years ago. it's be great if they did wouldn't it? 😀 p.s the song choices for each person were PERFECT for everyone! Totally cackled my head off at Womanizer for Joe and Hey Big Spencer! ACE! he he he
Well, my four most recent uploads are my first Pink Windmill videos in quite a while, but I just couldn't let such a landmark pass unnoticed. I'm slowing down, but never stopping. ;-) Glad you liked my choices - I don't think everyone gets my daft sense of humour! I'd love it if they could all get together once more for something, but sadly I think the moment's passed. Fun while it lasted, though.
I privately celebrated the 40th anniversary of the All Live Pink Windmill Show. The Emu shows are and will forever be some of my favourite programmes ever though there will always be something extra special about the original ten All Live Pink Windmill Kids (taking nothing away from the kids before and after)
One of my favourite shows ever, 42 and still makes me feel young.... Im currently watching eps at weekends with some younger eager eyed kids... Rentaghost too...😊
Happy 40 years of All Live. I’d say All Live S1, while short, was a fantastic season. It let all of the kids come into their own and shine in their own way. It was comical and lighthearted, and best part, we got two more live seasons out of it! ❤ What a wonderful tribute!
To think that they weren't certain it would work in this format, and it was all seen as a big risk to broadcast live with ten kids being a part of it. But every single one of them lived up to their duties and then went above and beyond. They _made_ it work, and then some more.
Ooooh this is amazing! I’ve like going through a trip to memory lane with your videos (as an ardent subscriber, yes I’ve been updated) and the Pink Windmill is still as awesome as ever. I’ll get to a longer review soon but know this is a lovely tribute and thanks for all the effort through those years.
If we can spread this video far and wide: th-cam.com/video/NbBdkfEdGC0/w-d-xo.html ...that may be our best hope of finding any of the episodes we're missing. Hopefully some lost media community somewhere will pick it up or something.
Well then _technically_ you were still privileged enough to live through the era-defining powerhouse that is Emu's All Live Pink Windmill Show. Count your blessings. ;-)
@@VideotapeFTW A shame that Rod, Emu and Grotbags weren't doing this in the very late 80's, early 90's, but hey I remember the animated series and Grotbag's spin off, so at least there's those. ;)
Yeah, those were good, but the best Rod and Emu material definitely came in the 70s and 80s. I think Emu's Wide World series 2 in 1987 was the last time the show was truly _great._
th-cam.com/video/yFvYNDruhas/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared&t=274 Choreographed by the award-winning Alan Harding, who also did the majority of the Pink Windmill routines.

The day has come. 40 years ago, history was made: Emu's All Live Pink Windmill Show. My roman empire..

The original all live gang was what first sparked my interest in pwk. This video is great! Happy 40 years pwk!

Rentaghost too...😊
Yeah, I know that feeling. If you can help the next generation to learn all the dances, then you're _really_ doing it right!
Perf song picks!! Love the video xx
That's really kind of you to say - glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for curating this. So much talent. So much fun. Quite honestly, the best kids show of all time.
You're very welcome indeed - glad you enjoyed it! I tried to include a fair few clips that most viewers won't have seen before.

Beautifully done! Happy 40th anniversary to the most iconic series that started it all 🎉
Thank you - delighted you like it!

Ha! Love the song choice for Joe (to you!)
Well, as Benjamin Franklin once said, "Nothing can be said to be certain, except death, taxes, and Joe gets all the girls."
pink windmill 40th anniversary congratulations~😄
No wonder I have no memory of this, I was just barely born when it started. :D

Could you tell me what the first song is? Thanks :)
