This could be the best performance of "Critical Acclaim" out there. Matt's voice was probably the strongest it's ever been during the self-titled tours.
Yeah, the LBC one is great. I tend to not count the DVD sometimes since it's all polished and professionally mixed. So not counting the DVD, I would probably go with this performance haha band was at the top of their live game during the self-titled touring cycle.
WesleyAlvesGames it's kind of hard for me to get into "Critical Acclaim" performances without The Rev as much. It's great that they keep his vocal track in there... I wouldn't have it any other way... but it still seems like an integral part of the performance is missing without his live vocal there. It just isn't the same. Honestly, I would kind of like for them to put the song away for a little. It's been played at every single show since it came out.
Syn and Zacky played double lead, Johnny behind them with his horror bass, and Jimmy sang for chorus part... Such as a great 21st century metal band...
No other band can ever match the authentic, overwhelming energy in a live setting the way Avenged Sevenfold can. Most bands disappoint or simply meet your expectations, while Avenged Sevenfold blows your expectations out of proportions making an instant addict out of the viewer. I remember distinctively the first time I watched Critical Acclaim live. My heart rate exploded to the momentum as if I were jogging, and I literally broke a sweat. Never would I think that possible. To the Hall of Fame.
Either it's the cameramen are stupid or he editor being stupid, I have never seen a show before where they film The Rev that little, something is really wrong
''You also have a lot female fans, can you explain that'' ... ''women and metal is a little difficult combination''. Pissed me off so much, difficult combination my ass!
Jennifer Boström cause men are seen as more brutal and aggressive than women which is true to an extent but kinda unfair, whereas you guys are seen as more airy fairy. You should look at it as being more of a dig at metal fans being aggressive and complete nutters rather than anything to do with gender cmon
Haha, I love Syn and Zacky during the interview! And the Critical Acclaim performance was amazing! I can't fathom being able to drum and sing the way Jimmy did - that guy was incredible!!! And of course, Matt, Syn, Zacky, and Johnny were awesome as well! :D
Everybody how is pissed of at the cameraman. Because the Rev is not here anymore. How did he supposed to know.... All the respect to the Rev ofcourse!🙏
ah the still-only-slightly-post-CoE days when Shads could still hit that C5 like he did when he said "dug your own grave". His voice also had that power and fullness while still being raspy that I bet he misses nowadays
back in the old days when syn'd been full of enthusiasm and joy on stage...no wonder why he's been the way he is lately; that tall genius is no longer behind him on the drums...
i love how zacky says "we're friends and we tour the world together" like every group of 5 or so friends goes on tour playing infront of 10,000 people every other day... xD
Those cameramens sucked! They were way to zoomed in and the worst!!! Why the hell did they never focus on the Rev?! Not even when he was singing! The drummers are one of the most important parts of the bands!
For Example, you'll Always see some opening tempo beat like 2 or 4 times he hits the crash or other cymbals before the song starts so they can start the song at the same time.. so.. Drummers are very important at metal songs
for the one who don't understand the belgium language.: The second young group on the main stage comes from california... Dispite they have a very large group of fans. I am here with Zack and Brian. the two guitar players from A7X Thumbs so everyone can see it...
Why do these things never show close ups of the Rev, doing fills or singing? Only ever get to see him in the backround, and each time he's at the chorus Matt's standin in the fucking way
@funkeyman33 they did. During the "Hey, hey, hey" part, they don't do the whole speech thing, probably because its hard to do live, since its all in one breath.
This could be the best performance of "Critical Acclaim" out there. Matt's voice was probably the strongest it's ever been during the self-titled tours.
For me the best Critical Acclaim performance was in Rock In Rio 2013
For me I think live in LBC was the best

matt's voice in the selftitled tour is priceless
I already knew that Jimmy had an amazing voice, just listen to him in Pinkly Smooth
0:16 "we had some real, classic, metal dinosaurs on the main stage"
nothing better then awesome singing, guitar solos, and amazing drum fills!!! Avenged Sevenfold best band ever!!
idk if its just me but it bothers me the cameraman never gets a goodshot of the rev playing or singing period
Either it's the cameramen are stupid or he editor being stupid, I have never seen a show before where they film The Rev that little, something is really wrong
''You also have a lot female fans, can you explain that'' ... ''women and metal is a little difficult combination''. Pissed me off so much, difficult combination my ass!
just relax
shut the fuck up that was coming from a woman u feminist
I know more girls who like metal than guys 😂😂😂
Jennifer Boström that interviewer doesnt knoq sh*t
Jennifer Boström cause men are seen as more brutal and aggressive than women which is true to an extent but kinda unfair, whereas you guys are seen as more airy fairy. You should look at it as being more of a dig at metal fans being aggressive and complete nutters rather than anything to do with gender cmon
I miss Jimmy! :( he was one of the best parts of this amazing band.
I love how the Rev goes right through the backgroun o the interview XD cant beat that, rip and foREVer
Swear god, i miss the Rev. Nowadays, every concert that has the rev voices is just played on a back sound.

1:27 yes you are
i love how zacky says "we're friends and we tour the world together" like every group of 5 or so friends goes on tour playing infront of 10,000 people every other day... xD
Those cameramens sucked! They were way to zoomed in and the worst!!! Why the hell did they never focus on the Rev?! Not even when he was singing! The drummers are one of the most important parts of the bands!
Well.. Drummers literally leads a Metal/Rock song. Especially for A7X
So technically. The Rev is the Leading part of The Music 😃
For Example, you'll Always see some opening tempo beat like 2 or 4 times he hits the crash or other cymbals before the song starts
so they can start the song at the same time..
so.. Drummers are very important at metal songs
+Tata Adityawarnam (TataAditya19) Yeah i totally agree with you! I have played some metal drums myself
Probably paid by other metal bands cause they envy them and want them to flop but haha a7x and flop dont match
0:44 The Rev

0:58 - "Ah, fuck that, I never refuse beer !" LOL !
awsome vid
Man they should have shown the rev way more. Critical acclaim is by far one of my fave songs by a7x.
Why do these things never show close ups of the Rev, doing fills or singing?
Only ever get to see him in the backround, and each time he's at the chorus Matt's standin in the fucking way
