I’ve got analysis paralysis… a direct, Xpedition vs. Abound shootout would be amazingly helpful. I don’t think anyone else has made that video. While Abound looks like a nicer, more finished product, limiting it to class 2 feels like a deal breaker. Giving Abound class 3 and an extended range battery would make the decision easy. Giving the Xpedition a torque sensor and suspension would make the decision easy in Lectric’s favor.
Just my opinion but I think battery range and speed are over emphasized unless you are a die hard commuter (10-20 miles). Since almost everything I may want quickly run out and get is less than a 7-8 mile round trip, PAS to 50 miles is more than enough. Class 3 to (ex) 28mph I think borders on dangerous. 20mph in almost all cases (esp with kids aboard) is adequate. Going down at 28mph is rough (done that).
Hey folks I have been checking out the All of there bikes. And all of them are exceptional. I don’t need a bike this big or long but these guys do everything right. I still think I need a folding bike. So the jury is still out hey just maybe I will win one…….. great review..
Great bike. I bought one after seeing this video (I live in the same area in Portland). Going up the hills is great on this bike. The rear basket was too big for me (my mistake) and now I am trying to return the rack. Email reply is slow 24-48 hours. Flat rate return $15. Now, if you want to return this bike to them the postage for the bike is expensive. I suggest going to a local dealer and riding the bike you are interested in and see if the price at the dealer is the same as the listed price.

A comparison video is coming very soon actually!

It's $1599 Now Cyber Monday
Thank you for a great review!
Glad you liked it!
Excellent, currently the manufacturer is giving away a free $500 battery. I didn’t want to spend the retail price but now I’m thinking
That is a good deal.
Great review! Very thorough.
Thanks!
Would love a side by side comparison with the xpedition Leitrim bike. Struggling to decide 👍😄
Noted!
I want to know the very same thing you said. So I can make the best disisson.
Same struggling between the abound and xpedition
I know. This bike is just better looking in every way, but I think the Xpedition is cheaper with longer range.

Can you share where do you buy the rear cargo rack?
It was from Aventon
@@ElectricBikeJournal Found it. Thanks!
🥳🎉
what about a lock or a key to stop someone from stealing it when you're at the store?
It doesn't come with a lock, but it is always a good idea to purchase another lock for when you want to park in public.
When you use hashtags in the title it is impossible to expand the “more” arrow on a smart phone.
Ok, I got it to work on the 6th try.
Wheel base?
The wheelbase is 50.1 inches
Little pricey. Like the front suspension.
Not the cheapest, not the most expensive. Front suspension is nice for sure.
Only One battery? You can get other cargo bikes out there with 2 batteries for same price.
No you cant. This cost $1799 as of 3/10/2024
Beautiful bike but the range kills it for me. Not enough range for the price.
It would be nice for a battery extender or dual battery
