How long can you exist on this earth if you felt like that everyday? Have you ever felt like that? If you can't relate to nothing I just said, then understand that these are the main reasons why we say Black Lives Matter. If BLM are protesting against an injustice, which in our case racism, then they shouldn’t respond with another kind of injustice such looting and riots. Granted the majority are peaceful protest which it should be, and is also the right response. Lastly, I will close my point by referring to one of our most iconic figures in American history and that is the late Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King. During his time of civil unrest, Mr King responded to racism with Christian values and teachings which is to respond to violence with non-violence. As a result, America saw his example and were forced to reflect on ourselves and change our evil ways. Since then countless laws and policies were changed and replaced with many to stop racism and discrimination. I think the legacies of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King is what BLM needs more than ever.

I actually knew a guy I was stationed with in the army who used to get beat up by his wife he made all types of excuses like his cat scratched him but he would have black eyes gashes on his arms his face was just scratched up and we found out it was his wife.
