- The Prince of Wales meets the granddaughter and great-granddaughter of a soldier who wrote a letter to his wife on D-Day, which he read out during the 80th-anniversary national commemoration in Portsmouth. During their conversation, the little lady shared her best curtsy with the Prince who obviously found the interaction adorable.

I love the way he bends down to be eye level with children or the disabled letting them know they are important to him. That is why he's is such a wonderful husband and father. He is so like the best of his father and mother rolled into one.

The reign of Prince William will be the first modern king ever. He has grown with the generation I gave birth to. His children will grow with my grandchildren's generation. This is a significant era. He knows the highs the lows the mental health challenges the climate challenges. He has experience life on the front line. He speaks to them not down to them. My own children who are all now adults think he is brilliant and my daughter and daughter in laws love Princess Catherine. They also like Princess Beatrice and Mike and Zara. Makes me so proud
But King Charles is my generation - and by the time William is King there will be a 'young generation' that will think he is old too??? But the real magic of the Royal Family is that age brings wisdom; unlike 'celebrities' etc.
