Amazing lady with and incredible sense of humor,I missed her just like I missed my mom, rest in piece beautiful woman,Queen Elizabeth the 2nd ,this world will never be the same without you !
Love that story about the American tourists, often wonder if they realised when they did return to the US who they had actually met, what a wonderful, remarkable woman she was, and is truly missed ❤
The queen was great, even as an american I liked the queen because she was honest had a great sense of humor and she always did what was right and totally kept the royal family together and the Uk together. Its not the same without her. I am though glad that Charles gets to be king even if not for a very long time. I really hope william doesnt slim down the monarchy and do a bunch of bone headed stuff. I dont honestly trust him.
I've heard the American Tourist story, seen the video on youtube several times and it makes me laugh out loud every time. This time I'm laughing and crying. Two years have passed so quickly.
Thanks a lot for this interview. Getting an inside look of Queen Elizabeth. I always thought she had a good sense of humor. We're going to miss her, William and Catherine will make her so proud, happy and loving.
I read a story when the queen visited Canada (when she was much younger). Canadian honoraries waited for here to greet her and to be introduzed. The wife of the ? ambassador courtseyed deeply - and then realized she would not be come up again. Queen Elizabeth realized immediately what was going (likely not the first time that happend), took the hand of the womand and pulled her up - but w/o anybody noticing her assistance. Quite a strong pull, too.
Good story . Being from the US I never really understood the draw to “Royals” but can see why people revered her so much. She always seemed kind, like a grandmother. This is solely based on me seeing her on TV and hearing her speak. If I had to have a queen she seems like a perfect one.
Years ago I was chauffeuring an Elvis impersonator, in an old classic, we were to drive directly to the stage in the middle of a stadium, for a big opening show. 'Elvis' was getting in character by leaning out the window and waving at people who were all playing along and cheering back. Coming the other way was a convoy of Rolls Royce's with union jacks. We both got stopped in traffic right next to each other, and sure enough, there's the Queen right beside us, staring at Elvis getting all the attention. She didn't crack a smile but said something that made her driver laugh. I wish I knew what that was..
The stories are brilliant. I live in America, def younger then the couple they met on the trail, and I'm amazed that even with all the garb on, they didn't know it was her. Hey, that had to be great fun for the Queen.

I'm American and I admired the Queen's love of horses and dogs. I also liked that she had such a good sense of humor. I miss her, too, and I'm not a royalist at all!
I am so glad that Queen Elizabeth knows human nature but realized those that make things impossible become worse as times goes on. She is so right. I am so glad God gave her insight to know how to maneuver the situation in her Royal Family and be prepared for those that step out of line.
It's because it's ruled now by people who hate the past instead of respect it. You can see them in the comments here. They can't see that they are the most destructive force. Their hate taints everything they touch. The UK governance is turning into a authoritarian state, and they will say, "Down with the monarchy! Down the flag!" as their cities burn around them under fascism (yes, this is left wing fascism that targets native ethnic groups and ideas).
Canadian here, while our biggest change here from the Queen's passing is our money changing, and I'm only 36, so I'm too young to remember us having much to do with England really, it was still quite sad to hear. I know the royal family has not always been shown in the best light, and sometimes with good reason. I feel like she was born into something and then forced into power at a very young age. I mean, 36, couldn't imagine being the figurehead of a country. Let alone a country with England's history. She was 21 if I'm not mistaken. And didn't have a choice(not saying she wouldn't have taken it, I have no idea what was running through her head). She ruled with dignity and grace for decades. And I absolutely love watching the videos that show her sense of humour. There are 2 short clips that come to mind. 1 where she makes a comment to Justin Trudeau about how old he makes her feel. With that one, its especially hilarious because she's starting a prepared speech and you can tell thats an off the cuff, definitely not scripted part. The second is a walking tour of the garden she's doing with David Attenborough. She's showing him a sundail and he comments that its in the shade. Her reaction is priceless. Highly recommend. RIP
I wonder what those American tourists thought when they realized they had a picture with the Queen! That's not an opportunity many people can say they get! I remember that there's a picture on the Internet, where these two people are taking a picture together, and the Queen is visible in the back, smiling at the camera!! What a sweet lady she was. :)
The late QE2nd was able to put herself on the same level as anybody she was speaking with..very relatable and down to earth..good sense of humour.. and highly regarded..not sure about this new lot. Don't know why the headline labels HM as "cantankerous"
My mother resembles the Queen and they were about the same age. I used to kid around with my Mom about it. Mom passed in 2020 and the last few years of the Queen's life it was obvious she was getting quite frail and declining as well. It would really tug at my heart to see someone that looked a lot like my mother that I've watched my my whole life fading away just a few years later as well.
I totally believe it 😂! I've heard Balmoral was the Queen's favourite place because she could get out of the limelight there and live like a normal person.

Marvellous. The queen sent me a letter thanking me for a painting (The Harvesters) of which I sent a photo of. I have it framed in my front room. This was just before she passed away. I never got the opportunity of meeting unlike my elder brother who was given an award at Buckingham palace. That story in the video was very funny!!!!
She wasn’t perfect, nobody is, and leaving aside the royal prerogative use against the Chagosians, Lady Elizabeth was an exceptional writer & speaker. Unfortunately, most of her speeches (including the Xmas speeches) are unavailable online, but they were always edifying and full of wise gems - a clear indication of her education inside & outside a classroom, and, the immeasurable value of a quality education formal & autodidactic - the most memorable gems I can recall without strain are from two separate Xmas speeches, namely: 1) old people are not ‘economically’ useless or without value: “one only has to see the smiles on a grandchild’s face to know just how valued our loved ones are” - the British PM should note this this winter: I have 2) her observations on humanity’s capacity, above all other creatures, for good and ‘evil’ The royal prerogative is a great power, only three can be granted by the monarch regnant of the British Empire in any one year on request of the incumbent government, and it should be used responsibly. The only power greater, is the imperial prerogative, which - unless fought for under a rare circumstance - belongs to The Imperium Maximum Prime. Such power, like the power to be prime minister of Great Britain & N.Ireland, is entirely dependent on ‘confidence’. Such confidence should not be confused with either tradition or might. I wish the late Lady Elizabeth’s speeches - Xmas & all others - were available online, and well organised. Ps first time hearing the story of the American tourists, thank you.
