      @@chasinganadventure it’s been so awesome! We’ve only just left McGowan and it’s only been 11 days. 20L Jerry cans were $75 at Kalumuru! 😬 and we’re limited to 1 Jerry power person as they were running out of fuel

      Awesome ! Gee I hope you can get enough fuel to get out of there ⛽️

    Hey guys, really enjoy watching your adventures. If I don’t see “the girl” on a forthcoming episode of Getaways or the like I’ll eat my words, she definitely has the personality and the cheekiness 😊. Keep on travelling xxxx

      Thank you so much Sharon, we just read that out to her and it made her day. She said she loves when people say that to me 😂

    Fuel Doctor is the business, works on both petrol and Diesel engines. I run in my X5 as a conditioner after the initial fuel shock instructions. Magic in breaking down water, 1ml per litre of fuel. Cheers

      Fuel Docta is a great product ! I know it very well, just hard to get it after the fact. 👍

    Hi guys. I’ve been following your channel for about a month now and really enjoying your videos. Your daughter is such a sweet, intelligent and confident girl, and I love when she gives her opinions too…so cute!
    Q. How safe would it be for a solo female traveler on the Gibb?
    Q. If I were to break down and couldn’t fix the car on the most remote part of the Gibb…who would I call/how do I get help?
    The next few questions aren’t specifically for the Gibb, but any info would be appreciated.
    Q. What would be the minimum upgrades for a vehicle travelling the Gibb/Australia not pulling a caravan and would it be a waste of money installing an extra fuel tank? (I’m unsure whether I should buy a y62).
    Q. The y62 uses 98 fuel..What and how often do you use other fuel and how often do you use octane booster, what’s your process? Some have said using different fuels is bad for the car!
    Thanks for sharing your adventures. Hope you all have a great week.
    ❤Zeljka

      Hi Zelijka ! Paislee loves giving her two cents worth that’s for sure lol
      The Gibb I our opinion is perfectly safe for someone travelling solo, most places always had someone else staying there. We have full road side assistance with RACQ so if we break down we can be recovered. Depending on your vehicle it’s always good to have a decent set of tyres. We haven’t used octane booster up until we hade fuel issues, we haven’t used it again but deposing on your vehicle it would be a good idea to seek some advice from the manufacture of your vehicle for fuel types 😊

      @@chasinganadventure Hi, thanks for replying. The car I’m talking about is the y62, which I want to buy, but so undecided. I’m sure I’ll work it out! Cheers ❤️😀

    How many klms do you usually get out of a tank? We just bought our patrol and plan on doing our lap next year!!!!

    • @chasinganadventure
      @chasinganadventure  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Circumstances always change but I have just changed our driving style and I’m thinking we are good for about 550kms give or take per tank 👍

    You should have a fuel separator on your car and a catch can.
    Outback fuel is crap bad fuel destroyed my 79 series Toyota.
    The total cost was $30,000.
    I learnt my lesson the hard way.

    • @chasinganadventure
      @chasinganadventure  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I (Tristan) completely agree with the separator and catch can on any modern day common rail vehicle we fitted them day in day out at our old 4x4 business. It’s a little bit different on Petrol cars with a fuel/water separator unfortunately.
