Bob Hawke 'more than prepared' for death, Blanche d'Alpuget says | 7.30

Arguably, Bob Hawke was the most recognisable man in Australia until his death last week.
The outpouring of love, affection and respect from the public since then has been immense.
For 25 years, Mr Hawke was married to Blanche D'Alpuget, and during that time, their relationship only grew closer and stronger.
She cared for Mr Hawke at home in his final years, and tonight tells 7.30, in her first interview since his death, that the former Prime Minister was entirely ready to go, and felt he had no further contribution left to give.
