    Poor brilliant Werner is rarely blessed with an adequate interviewer.

      Many interviewers seem as if they have no clue what he is talking about. The interviewers usually have notes with questions they will ask. No matter how profound Werner's reply is, they will not ask a follow up question to delve into the subject deeper, they just go to the next prepared question on their list. One interview, Werner mentioned he had a religious phase when younger. 5 minutes later the lady asked him "Have you ever been religious?" She didn't even bother to rephrase it "You said you had a religious phase when younger, could you elaborate on that?" She just mechanically read the question from her list.

    I watched another upload of this, but it didn't show any of the slides or videos they were discussing. 90% of the comments were "Where can we see the pictures and videos being discussed?" I want to thank whoever took the time to find the pictures and video, and then edit them all in at the proper time. Good Job. I appreciate your effort.

    Very disrespectful audience, but this only reaffirms the suspicion that Herzog is a genius!

    Herzog walks the fine line of sanity/insanity and as a result is able to see so much more than most. We all need that if we can control it and use it to our advantage to expand our vision and horizons.

      Don't just groan and walk away...hey! Hey! What the fuck? It was a legitimate question, man.
      Fuckin' bouncer privilege: bouncers don't *own* bounce, y'know.

      Also while Autism rates have skyrocketed, retards have vanished completely. Nobody has been diagnosed as retarded since 2002, they are all just autistic. I believe the old term Idiot-Savant was better, then people knew if they didn't have any savant talents, they were just retards.

      So they're songs then, yeah? Seriously people, GATHER YOUR THOUGHTS BEFORE YOU POST. And check your facts if you're unsure. Christ, it's not hard:
      Poems: read / recited. Songs: sung*.
      * Okay, exception for Bob Dylan (songs are _drawled/slurred_ ) but my point stands. My point stands to _attention,_ bitches...

      Not sure it’s so black and white. The form of poetry has been shifting since it began. In Ancient Greece poem and song were synonymous.. Poem and Song have different definitions now, and will have different definitions in the future..

      Yes, speech impediments are hilarious, almost as funny as blind people or people who are missing limbs, right? RIGHT? Grow up and listen to what people have to say, not how they say it., and you may learn more of how the world actually works.

    • @guileniam
      @guileniam 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ferrox Glideh Why have an interviewer who cant speak properly? Why dont YOU grow up and look at how the world works, whereby you dont get inappropriate people for the job, you get the best person u can find, coz thats how you avoid problems. And maybe get a sense of humour while youre at it. Itd help

    • @ferroxglideh5621
      @ferroxglideh5621 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      An interviewers ability to ask the right questions is much more important than the quality of their voice. This man is here for his mind, not for his annunciation, and did his job very well.
      I bet all the kids at your junior high school think that you are a real comedian.

    Couple of points. The problem with "just liberating" Greece from its debts is that its deficit spending is so ingrained. Greece socialists governments, including its current one are borrowing money in the name of its young people, to be paid by them. Yet those same people are voting socialist. If Greece is "liberated" from its debts are we saying they would no longer be able to borrow money) n which case they would fail as a state, or be able to borrow money and corkscrew right back to the same place?That is why restructuring the deep corruption, gigantic (3 times what is needed) civil service employment, and endless deficit spending has to be done first. Most Europeans are willing to forgive the debt *after* getting some assurance Greece will not end up in the same place. if your debts are structural, the answer is not about forgiving them, but stopping them from accumulating.
    On Arthur Evans, (ironically like Hertzog's grandfather) was a bigot who simply could not believe the Mycenaean were Greek in language or genetically. In fact the latest most comprehensive ancient DNA work shows a powerful and overwhelming continuity between Minoans, Mycenaean and modern Greeks. On language Evans insisted the Mycenaean were not Greek speakers. Ventris' accomplishment was not in code breaking aspect but in breaking through the bigotry of Evans and his acolytes. In fact once Ventris posited Liner B was Geek, it was child's play to actually do the decoding and in experiments one can take first year undergrads in linguistics and have them decode linear B once you tell them it is Greek.
    Evans idiocy has been exposed when it comes to the Mycenaean but still persists when it comes to the Minoans. False narratives of the Minoans being matriarchal and peaceful still are ingrained despite overwhelming evidence that they conducted plenty of warfare, took slaves, and had a pantheon dominated by male gods. And while there is no proof that the Minoan langauge was Greek or an indo European proto Greek , there is no proof it was not
