So good to see him and hear his poetic accent. He documentary films are unusually interesting and broaden my understanding about being human and the world.

Werner Herzog using Mick Jagger as an example for how to play a villain in a Tom Cruise movie. What a world to be alive in.

But Mr Herzog is a man I can respect even if I do believe in the death penalty. Because I don't believe in it as it currently exists here. I think we need it but I think it needs to change. I think Mr hearzog is a very honorable man that believes in what he believes in advocates for it. He is an honest straight shooter and I can respect that whether or not I agree with him all the time he's someone I can respect all the time.

if i'm not mistaken he actually said "la perseverancia es don de los dioses", which in english means "perseverance is a gift of gods". I prefer his version anyway.

Can't show clips because of copyright? Isn't Werner the copyright holder?

A film maker that's sees the world around him and passes it on to the viewer.
Not a filmmake that just spends his time behind the lens missing every by being caught up in grabbing the perfect shot or screen.

Is it just me or does his voice not match his body or looks?
It's like hearing a German Shepard with a chihuahua bark. When I watched his documentaries where you didnt see him I totally expected him to look completely different. ;-)

Possibly because you have heard his disembodied voice in other places (voice acting/narration) and formed an idea of how he looked without seeing him?
