I had Carbon Minoxide in my Dads home in 1994. Parents are divorced and I’d stay with my Dad for the summer. It was the pool heater in the basement. I woke up and felt dizzy and the room was spinning. I called my Mom and told her I didn’t feel well. She said “oh sorry baby I hope you feel better.” Then I said “ I can’t breathe.” That’s when the MOM-meter came into play. She said “hang up Im calling your Father to call 911!”… few minutes later my Dad yells “Jesse get out of the house now!!!!” With all the energy I had I ran out to the front door. Fell onto the grass and started throwing up. I do remember the moment I hit the fresh air it was the greatest feeling ever. I am truly grateful to be alive. 🙌

Weird Al is one of the greatest people on the planet. I lost the last two of my grandparents on the same day a couple months ago (one from both sides of my parents families) and had tickets to see Weird Al the next night, I was in such a weird head space and that show definitely helped me get through that as I needed SOMETHING to take my mind off of it for a spell and Weird Al did that for me. Happy that us fans were able to do the same for him as that is an even worse thing to go through.
