Good video for discussion! Generally agreed for speaking real information at the interview stage. candidates is usually asked for pay slip or salary info by interviewer in Cambodia (maybe other Asian countries). I read some article stated that in US, asking for current salary from candidates is not thing to do, interviewer might not be accepted or unprofessional if ask this question to interviewee. They explain Salary information is confidential belong to candidate and value of them not based on former place. Recruiter is negotiating them according to what they are now, their potential, their salary demand. Value of interviewee is seen from interviewer at the moment. Recruiter must offer and afford them of current value of candidates, not their past.
My opinion, in this generation candidates rather to speak truth and recruiters better not asking candidates’ salary at current workplace.
