Hourly chart has become my favorite chart. They produce the best levels to trade from. But the best feature they help me with is lowering my trading frequency. Over trading is the ultimate killer of accounts and this chart has helped me with that problem. Thanks for video and please keep them coming.... 🙏

I think this is a good idea. Many times, I've known where the price will go (on the hourly) but traded on the 5m and 15m and been stopped out by noisy wicks, only for the price to go in the hourly direction that I knew it would go in. I've been too eager to place trades I guess.

I always use 1 hour chart in my day trading based on my own experience. It works much better for my setups. Good to hear conformation from Mark!

From experience of over 7 years, I can say H1 is a Golden Timeframe. If you can’t see an entry on H1 chart don’t look below it.
If you can see an entry you can go to 15Min for precision purposes. The consequences of focusing on Timeframe below H1 is the noise, what the noise does to you
    1. So many entry signals which are not reliable leading to many unnecessary losses
    2. Impulsiveness, because the charts move faster you will tend to be fast in your entry decisions as well 👇
    3. Uncontrolled position sizing, it speaks for itself if you are in a hurry you will be like let me hit it Big I will manage my positions later on (which is a Big lie to yourself
    4. Big losses are going to break your heart. Take care.

I switched from 15 to 1 hr and I’ve been profitable at an extremely high accuracy rate and I’m taking less trades and a lot less stressed with little anxiety. Usually I’ll take 3-5 trades now when before I was taking an average of 12.

I’m lately testing trading on the hourly with Heiken Ashi candles, and I’ve found this to be a very effective way to trade moves.

I like to view 90 day daily, 5 day hourly, 1 day 3 minute. And trade off the 3 minute with the others in view. If I only trade by hourly, I’m more likely to end up holding overnight and am no longer a day trader subject to overnight sell offs. Been there, done that.

Great blog. Personally, I prefer the 2-hour Heiken Ashi chart with a 100 sma. Gives a great overall picture of what is going on. A change of colour in the H/A candle gives a great indication a pullback might be over.

    1/5/15/ 4Hr
Or go through all of them
Some platforms even have it by the second I mean you get the real feel of whatever your looking at I know it’s a lot of noise but I wouldn’t trade any other way .
    I love the 1/15/4hr
I trade crypto just quit stocks but it depends really what your trading .

I honestly start from daily, filter out nonse, move to HR, rinse and repeat, and if it makes it all the way down to the 2 min chart, from 1 day,( I use 100 ranges, 1 second ticks all the way hup to daily. & Most often if we get this far with the chart, I'll be likely to place a precision entry that's worth holding a few days, never rolls back at me, almost; & if it does, I cut the loss before it's a loss

Yep, i think even RSI(21) cancels noise, or Soch(34). Bollinger was favoring the 1/2 chart, while LBR said she likes the most 11 bars in a divergence... According to an interview with Lane, the Stochastic Oscillator “does not follow price, it does not follow volume or anything like that. It follows the speed or the momentum of price. As a rule, the momentum changes direction before price.”
Anyway there is a lot to watch, and i was watching foremost price cycles, and volume, so well i forgot structure etc. I dunno how i could think i'm "good" in trading... :-(
Also if you watch closely, MACD and Stoch give similar signals on m5, so what to do with the MACD... ?
ALso i never get the stochastic RSI to show anything useful.. But Ehler likes it because it's so sharp...

I've been looking at tick by tick when trying to scalp TSLA. Seems like it was trading in 5 minute cycles so it was really useful for optimising entry.

I think 4h is the best adapted to the intermediate trend, 10 days or so. It would have avoid me to get stuck in the range, from Jan 25 to the end of the month, also you can see pattern (on Euro) But 1 minute is also more relevant than one think.

Also, may I offer that if we are unable to trade NYSE etc or other high volume markets due to our location/lifestyle and are trading a small market like Thailand SET for example there is not enough volume coming in to form candles on less than the 1-hour chart and in many cases we need even longer to form a candle. There are however still nice trends and price changes over that longer time frame. So this is another advantage of the 1 hour, we can see the candles form in these smaller markets. I trade stocks. Thanks

I like this quote from AL Brooks :
    You are entitled to nothing
In your heart, you know that this cannot be true, but you hope that it is. You feel entitled to at least a small part of the pie. You want a sign that you are lovable and not insignificant, and that the big boys and girls are going to include you in their game.
Is it too much to ask for just a little profit, especially if you are willing to work hard and follow some trading rules that a trading expert said would earn you $1,000 a day? Won’t Wall Street have some sympathy for a beginner and share some crumbs?
They might be crumbs to Goldman Sachs, but they are big enough to give you a nice lifestyle. You are being reasonable and are willing to promise to not take too much. You are a good person and are appropriately deferential. Doesn’t Wall Street care, and aren’t the firms willing to go easy on you so that you can make a living, even a meager one?
    The markets are fair
Well, guess what? You are entitled to nothing
    :-), in :

The 1 hr takes to long, and most of time its just up and then back down, so after 2-3hrs the price hasnt gone any way.
