I love that you focus on your kids education. We do the same and it’s not easy. College intuition is expensive. Car and car insurance is as well. We work and prioritize our savings for those things so our kids can concentrate on school. I know not everyone is able to do the same, but I’m thankful my husband and I are able to do it. One of my daughters just graduated with her bachelors and the other one should be done in about three years.

I think many people would want to know and you can get more views if you begin asking some questions about how your kids feel adjusting to America. For example, what are the challenges when he/she first entered school? What did your kids do to overcome those obstacles? Maybe not their faces on camera, but just their voices. I don't think there's a Khmer TH-camr out there who is as thorough as you are and if you can bring the experiences your kids have, it would be amazing.

I would never want to move back to Cambodia but I still like to visit the country because it was my birthplace. I was 25 when I came here in 1981 and I had to start from a ground zero. I would do it again if I had to do it with a heart beat. Good luck with your future planning. Peace ✌️

We can not blame on anyone else because of the choice we had made. Poor,rich, and wealthy is the choice we’re make, because God had given us a choice the same thing as our parents have give us. And I know some parents don’t have anything to give to their children not even a choice to make. And some parents are depending on the system and they become very lazy. This kind of parents they don’t have anything to offer to their children and most of their children are the same thing depends on the system to survive. I remember when I was a little girl I had seen poor, rich,wealthy, and educated people and I knew that I had a choice to make especially education so I became unstoppable when it comes to my education. People around me keep telling me not too, because they’re saying no one going to married you. Men don’t want an educated woman. I told them I want a real man not just any man. They laugh at me, but now I have the last laugh. What I am trying to say is it doesn’t matter what back ground of the family you came from poor,rich, and wealthy it’s a choice you’re making for yourself!
Saving 401k, invest in good stocks, take advantage of Roth IRA=no taxes, prepaid college. Importantly, buy small house you can manage in long run, will you save more on your budget. These only few advices I have had experienced I am able to share. I am still learning every day. 🙏🏻

I find it interesting that you bring you bring up how immigrants from Latin America have a lot of kids. In Cambodia, people can’t even support themselves, yet they have three, four kids , or even more. It boggles my mind. I wonder what your thoughts are about that. At least in the US, there’s some sort of Government Assistance or programs.

They don’t have a house to live and don’t have enough food to eat, and most of their children don’t attend school. My question is how in the world this has the energy to create more baby that he could not afford to raise them.
