I found my house panther as a kitten inside a paper bag by the side of the road. Something told me to keep watching as I slowly drove past. The bag started moving and his small fuzzy head popped out. I stomped on the brakes, picked him up then drove to the vet. He celebrated his 16th birthday in April.

I regret to say that he passed away in Nov 2020 at 17 1/2 years old, from Stage 3 kidney failure. We fought the disease for 3 years, as it got progressively worse. He still looked great (and still did zoomies after a good bowel movement!). He was The Sweetness, and the best cat I ever had. Miss him so much, still.

I found a cat like this once.
Went to throw out the garbage, heard pitiful meowing from the garbage, did my first dumpster dive in my life, pulled up three very dehydrated and cold little kittens.
Sadly two did not make it, but one was a fighter, called him Bear, pure black with a white patch on his chest.
I loved that cat but must say, he was the naughtiest thing I have ever seen. Miss him, that was about 30 years ago.
Anyone whom survives hand-feeding day-old kittens deserves a medal.
The kittens deserve medals, as well.
Makes me sad thinking about all the animals in these situations that never get found😔

A similar thing happened around the area I lived, people were finding mutilated cats - it was really horrifying and you could tell a person had did it. I say those "people" are sociopathic and mentally impaired. I've never really considered sociopaths actual human beings either, they are almost a different species in a class of their own.
I can never believe when the foster person then just gives the animal a kiss goodbye and adopts them out. Those people are just so strong, I would never be able to get rid of my animals if I fostered. lol

After bottle feeding them & staying up all night to make sure she was still breathing, I couldn’t have let her go; she’s a stronger woman than me! I’m so glad all of them survived & were adopted by someone who’d love them & take proper care of them!🐈🐾❤️

What’s incredibly beautiful to me is these fosters love cats so much, they are willing to experience grief each time the cats are adopted, so that they can help more cats. My hats off to them.

She looks EXACTLY like my boy Charlie. Found him hanging by his neck in my neighbors fence at like 2am, when his death scream woke me up.
I found him after about 10 minutes of searching. His mother had tried to pull him through a space in 2 planks of my neighbors fence, but he got stuck and she couldn't get him out.
I got him out, and placed him in front of his mom. She sniffed him, hissed a really long hiss right in his face, and then ran away, never to be seem again.
He sat there, turned his head and looked at me, "Well I guess you're coming inside."
After a bath, food, and falling asleep in my chest, he woke up to have a tinkle on me (i only noticed when he started shaking at the end), and that was it, "Well, I guess I'm yours now."
7yrs later his favorite place to nap is still right on my chest lol

Yeah it's shitty but at the same time you would reach the point where you would have a house full of cats you wouldn't be able to move around hehe. That's why it's better to put them up for adoption.

Works out to only be about 5 animals over the years, but then i realized i couldn't do it, i just can't part w/ an animal after i let them into my heart.
But I'm really appreciative of the strong souls who do this work every day, who put their own hearts on the line to save more and more beautiful animals.

Yup me neither 🥺someone gave up their pregnant cat over to me because they didn’t want her🥺even though I didn’t know anything about cats. I kept all 5 of her kittens till they were all ready to be adopted. I found good homes for them. I kept the mom and two of the boys. Now after two years of having them I’ve become a cat lady lol I love them so much!

Same here, we "fostered" pretty much all the strays in the neighborhood when I was young. We ended up with about 30 outside cats and about 10 or so dogs. One problem we didn't have.... rodents lol. Plus my dad worked for the Missouri conservation department and we'd always get wild babies to nurse til they were strong enough to be released. Gotta love those fur babies.

I foster and trust me the first litter you will want to but you NEED to fight yourself not to keep them the second litter it will be better I promise that should not be a reason why you don’t save kittens

People don't sterlise their pets and then find they can't sell or give them away, nor can they afford to look after them all so they literally throw them away. Awful people. We should have harsher penalties to put people off from doing this kind of thing.
14 years ago my neighbor pulled a half grown black cat out of a dumpster and I adopted him immediately! He has given me great joy ever since! It’s easy to rage against those who abuse and abandon animals - - the only way I can live in this world is to focus on all of those who, like the hero in this video, do wonderful work rescuing and taking care of animals!
I agree with you 💯. I battle with this often when I hear these awful stories, but it is better to shift gears and focus on those who are willing to do good. In this case the foster mom.

Could you do all animalkind a favor, please? When you come across an animal abuser. PLEASE remind the judge that animal abuse/neglect, has been a FELONY since January 1st of 2016, and to have the sentence reflect that? I am SO sick and tired of finding out the abuser got a 90-day suspended sentence, maybe, MAYBE, a fine and is not allowed to have any pets for life. Really? and who is making sure they have no pets? Police and SPCA are overworked and underpaid, they don't have time to check on something like that. Especially in a big city where, I'm sure, there are hundreds of abuse and/or, neglect cases on a weekly basis. Sad, and makes me so angry. ✌😿

It's the little things like the kindness of someone saving a bag of discarded kittens that shows how truly wonderful humans can be. Many Blessings on Jess and people like her.
When I was 13 I too have fostered 3 kittens that were dumped inside a trash bin... They were just 2 days old and still had the umbilical cord attached to their belly
I did my absolute best to give them a chance at life!
Bottle fed them every 2/3 hours (also at night), kept them warm, safe, chunky and happy
It was magical to see them take the first steps and just see how their little personalities came out to be ❣️
I later found them a forever home and I was so glad I did it!
It's been 11 years and I just can't forget them, I've fostered other kittens too but the first time is the one you'll remember Forever 🥺

No actually it isn't. Kittens are already born and will react to pain. All most all abortions are first trimester, the fetus is no bigger than a kidney beans, and cannot survive outside the mother you can take a pill for abortion in your first 10 weeks. a fetus doesn't start reacting to pain at all until it is around 7 months. Which at that point if you are getting an abortion it is more then likely going to be for a medical reason. So no it is really nothing at all like an abortion, it is a hell of a lot worse then a simple medical procedure made out to look evil by people who are uninformed and misconceptions, the way it used to be done in the 1970s in later trimester pregnancies was pretty horrific, but in reality today it's done with completely different medical procedures, such as the pill or a d&e.
You define life by the ability to exist outside of the body on your own or with assistance.
And I have a strong conscience that tells me what is right and what is wrong. I have had 3 abortions and I have given up one child for adoption. Let me tell you which one I still have regrets on and still think about cause it's not the abortions. I have no guilt about my decision on terminating those pregnancies. They were never conscious and could never survive outside my body, I know if I did something wrong I would feel guilt, because I trust myself and my ability to make that decision for myself. I took a pill and it was done. I thank God that I had that option!

A beautiful person to rescue these kittens. Do not understand the type of human monster that could discard them. Many of my cats over the last 50 years have been strays or discarded because they were not perfect. I am blessed to have had these little animals in my life. Some of my cats have traveled the world with me and those are some of my best life memories.
This woman did such a great job as a foster parent! I hate that there are people out there who would put kittens in the trash. There are plenty of shelters out there.

She’s so sweet for taking those kittens home and taking care of them 💕 she’s not like other people, some people just don’t care if they are kittens in the trash they just don’t care and just walk away but this woman searched that trash can, got those kittens out a took them home! Little Pippa who runs & waits at the door when her new Momma arrives. So adorable.
I never thought I could be a foster either but a friend told me when you foster you save two lives. They are your foster and the next kit that comes to you. You can only foster so many at one time, especially if they're young kittens. When those are healthy and strong they're ready to be adopted.
That is true. Fostering, whether it's humans or animals, is not about you, it's about other lives you can improve. I am sad when I let go, but I am happy to know I am ready to help again.
I was not expecting Pippa to start walking toward the door as she sensed her new Mom coming to get her and Panda to bring them to their new home. It's one of those beautiful moments where an animal knows who they're meant to be with for the rest of their lives.

I had a black kitten named onyx, she was a stray mama's baby from my mom's work where I vollenteer and she had something almost exactly the same but she passed at i think 4/5 months, The person who was gonna take her said no bc what was happening and I took her in and she was my baby and I will never forget her lil black face and her lil white spot of her chest and those big anime eyes and her huge wonderful adorable lovable personallity. I love you my lil void, I always will, Rest with your siblings in kitty heaven darling. -Beanz
