    Nice thing about the Philippines is that most of the troubles are in Tagalog on TV and radio and in print so you won't even know they are happening. Walk fast and keep your head on a swivel when you are outside. Shit happens to drunks after midnight. Don't be drunk and get home by midnight. Anyone hanging out on a street instead of heading to somewhere, or selling something from the sidewalk is waiting to prey on you. Keep walking.

    To make a long story short, you can do all the qualifications you need to get done in a week you don’t need an apostle
    1- do a live scan for your fingerprints for your FBI background check they should give results less than 48 hours
    2-when you receive your results, you can get a mobile notary to notarize your FBI background check if you have a disability or any VA pensions, they should notarize all of your benefit letters as well.
    3-Your DD 214 does not show that you have any pensions but your VA benefits letter is all you need
    4-this lady is telling you all the services you need to do with the secretary of state because she also receives a kickback for it. You can get all of these things done within a week of your departure from the United States

    • @taximan683
      @taximan683 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You think she gets a kickback from the California Secretary of State? Not likely. Apostille can be done by mail for $20 in California. I'm not sure your notarization would work. I think there are apostille notaries, but that might be more expensive.

I live in the Seychelles, regarding costs Seychelles is between 30 to 60% more expensive to than in the Philippines. I do not need the western lifestyle to be happy but i need a place to stay in a house close to all amenities.

    This police clearance information is incorrect. You DO NOT need to get your police clearance prior to leaving the US. I received my SRRV in June 2024. I completed my police background clearance online in May 2024. I printed it out here in the Philippines and it was accepted by the PRA. Please correct your video so that the information is factually correct. Thank you.

    Good report there. For the past 20 months or so, I have been watching different TH-cam videos from expats that say that they mostly just extend their Tourist Visa and then do the 36 month getaway in order to start the process over again. From what I gather from your report, that option is still in place. If I may ask you, can you please confirm that I heard the lady correctly about the Tourist Visa extensions and that no documents or bank deposits are needed for it, and can be accomplished by simply filing extensions? Thank you for your help.

    The one week thing - now you're just making stuff up. It is fine to do a visa run in less than 24 hours. The key requirement is to have differing exit and entry dates. You can even achieve this by getting last flight out (say 2am) and first flight back (say 6am) to somewhere like Kota K, as long as you transit exit immigration before midnight.

    There is a lot of unnecessary red tape in the Philippines. The heat and humidity is oppressive year round so if coming stay inside with air conditioning during midday and stay hydrated if your outside… My wife has duel US/PH citizenship so I can enter with her for up to 1 year without doing anything but pay a few fees. After 1 year, I could leave the country for a week for a trip and come back in with her and my 1 year restarts. No need for a PH bank account as long as you have a brokerage account. Most will let you transfer or withdraw money from ATM's without any fees. They even pay the ATM fees at certain banks like BDO.

    Can you work online for a US company legally on the SRRV? I am considering 13A so I can work online part time. I have Filipina wife. How long does an exit clearance take if I have a family emergency in the US and want to go there right away?

      I think it's better not to ask. US employers will care, but I simply work as if I'm in the US. A router (Slate AX) back at a family member's house in FL is set up as a VPN server, and another one I have with me here in the Philippines is set up as its client. As a result, all of my devices have a residential US IP address.

      Yes I had the same problem. I been here 6 months I was told by BDO you have to be here at least 6 months and actually open my account yesterday with an ACR tour ist card, my rental contract, proof of income, and passport. If you have all those my tip to you would be go to a BDO inside of a mall. The branches that have banks inside of the mall see more foreigners and have more interaction with us, so to me they are more willing to help. Tip 2 ask to speak with the bank manager on duty at the time and be polite and ask what will you need to open the account. And ask when you have all the documents, can you bring the documents directly to the manager to review.

      @@Gattberserk I've never heard that to be the case. Most people who live here on a tourist visa leave for at least 24 hours or more and then come back. As long as you don't give immigration any attitude, and as long as no other red flags come up against you as you're coming back in, you should be okay. IMO, it's best to smile, keep chat to a minimum, and answer any questions you might be asked succinctly. Immigration officers don't need to know more than what they might ask you directly.

      I checked in that a month ago because my 3 years is coming up. You know i was at bacolod immigration and ask that. I didn't really get an answer. They gave me a 15 minute interview which i never had before. You cannot get the 6 month visa anymore unless you go to manila is what they told me. Anyway the most answer i get for me coming up is like a weekend 3 days. That's a nice little vacation just get a cheap flight somewhere and do that. What i have known guys to the comeback overnight so i think it's up to the agent when they come back i can't see an answer on immigrations web pages either good luck!

    The cost of living depends on the lifestyle you want. For a westerner, major assets are expensive. New cars are more expensive due to duties which run several thousand US dollars. Land cost is very expensive when Nuvali is 50,000 pesos per square meter. So you can rent shoebox condos of 25 square meters at 15,000+ for a studio. However no parking and dependency with Grab. Also unless you have an immigrant visa as a Resident Alien, if another covid outbreak or lockdown occurs again, non immigrants will have a tough time entering the Philippines. Exception of marriages and family members.

    • @PeevyMctweevy
      @PeevyMctweevy 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      To apply for the 13A visa you must be married to a Filipina, you are the applicant and your wife is the sponsor. I did mine with an agency, you shop around for the best price, you will need to present various documents including the PSA marriage certificate, the original marriage certificate is not good enough, it has to be certified by the PSA, (Philippine Statistics Authority). There will be numerous forms for you and your spouse to fill in and when everything is complete you apply for the probationary 13A visa, this lasts for one year and then you do the whole thing again to apply for the permanent residency visa. You will need to get NBI clearance both times to make sure that you are not wanted for any misdemeanours. You will need the patience of Job, stay calm and smile and you will be ok, it is not easy to do, I did it and was really glad when it was all over. My ACR card does not need to be renewed until 5 years from date of issue, no more extensions at immigration which is a big bonus..Hope this has helped you..
