I just discovered and subscribed to your fascinating channel. As a practitioner for the last seven years, this is the first I have heard of the Witch’s Rosary. I am a Christian witch, so this practice will work perfectly with my daily affirmations and meditation. I look forward to learning more from you!
Great video! It popped up on my Rosary search. I’m not Catholic myself but I have recently got a Rosary and I wear it on my hand, it is said it is holding Mary’s hand. That may help someone if they would like to try honoring the Divine Mother or any Goddess, it really does center me. Love what you said about doing the Rosary with honor and focus. Great video.
I look forward to watching this tonight. I have a few different rosary beads. I have many trad. Catholic ones (old and new), and some others that I have either made or modified including an Hermetic one, a Thelemic one and a bunch of Buddhist mala. I use them all for different reasons, but I always carry one with me when I travel, even to just count my breaths.
I'm a NE Celt Spanish raised as Catholic. I do know my old history & here the use of just a string with knots dates back to the old times. Main reason: minimal resources. We are also very much in touch with our forests, rocks,.. The summer solstice has not been lost and keep burning fires, doing some "spells" & more. Where a high crucifix is now, before was a Roman Ara but before It was used by us to ask, give & receive. We all are souls, but some are dark, others very bright, & between usually lost ones
This is wonderful. I find the Witch’s Rosary to be very effective and I bought my rosary recently. Can’t wait to get it! ❤ Thank you for all that you teach Ariel ❤ Blessed be 🌌🙏
Thank you so much for this wonderful video. Came at the very precise time of my life being completely stuck and then finding your video upon the urge to make rosary beads. I’m so grateful. Wish you a wonderful day 💫
TFS. I have a three-decade Wiccan rosary that is my favorite. One for the Maiden, one for the Mother, one for the Crone. I also still use the Lord's Prayer. There's nothing in it of hell or damnation, just a plea for guidance. You should look into the Way of the Rose, if you haven't yet.
I went to your website and found several listings of booklets to download and was very enthusiastic about doing so. however, no matter what booklet I clicked on to download every time I got the same booklet, no matter which I chose to download.
That doesn't sound right. Each time you got the same booklet? I'm looking on the site and they all seem to be working fine... perhaps you could send an email to ariel@ariels-corner.com and we can figure it out for you. Blessed be.
If you look up medieval rosaries and Paternosters, you can find them. They are sometimes used by reenactment societies that try to be very authentic about the Middle Ages, so you can find them from those kinds of sellers. We carry a few in our shop as well. If you are talking about the prayers of the early rosary, you can find information on that usually from any source that discusses the history of the Rosary; I think even Wikipedia has some info. You can find more about the history of the Hail Mary in Desmond, William's book, "Maybe, Maybe Not: Richard Kearney and God",
@@ArielGatoga was actually hoping for a link or cited source about the pre-Catholic pagan prayer beads (with decades). I'm very curious where the number 10 came from in a pagan culture that frequented Iberia -- in a spiritual sense. The Romans were fond of it, but you don't see that number coming up in their myths, temples or grave goods as a number of metaphysical power. So I'd really like to dig in here. 😅
This is so incredibly frustrating. I really like prayer beads and prayer bead practice and I don't even have a problem with re-adapting Christian prayers. For those who are looking for something less explicitly Christian or dualist. Here is an example of how to adapt the prayer differently. Hail Freyja full of grace, blessed are you among the gods, and blessed is the fruit of your seithr. Holy Freyja queen of heaven aid us now. As above so below Holy Tyr hallowed be thy name. We beseech thy Justice, thy will be done. Take mercy on our trespass, as we give mercy to others. And lead us into bravery. As above so below Alternative To Hel Holy Hel full of grace, blessed are you among the gods, and blessed is your great hall. Great queen we beseech you now and at the hour of our death. As above so below Hail Loki who gifted us wisdom, holy is your name. Cunning one, breaker of chains, father of Hel. We pray for wisdom. Liberate our chains, as we liberate the chains of others. Lead us not into folly, but deliver us from suffering. As above so below There are a few other variations and even some with reflections. I understand that among wiccans dualism is popular I must say I find it... distasteful as it propagates black and white thinking by flattening nuance. I find it far better and far more efficacious to nuance practice directing it towards those who best embody and are aligned with the thing I am attempting to achieve. The basic formula of any prayer is the invocation, followed by praise, followed by the request.
@@ArielGatoga I am sorry that you think expressing frustration is disrespectful. I am sorry that you think offering a non-christian non-dualism alternative framework is disrespectful. Not that it matters but what belief do wiccans hold that you do not? The feedback I provided was concerning the way dualism flattens nuance. Could I have communicated this better? Possibly... even probably.
A Rosary can be considered to be any string of beads with which prayers/sacred phrases/ names of deities can be repeated to achieve a specific purpose or even just devotion of the spirit or God/ess. The Buddhist prayer beads can be referred to as a Rosary. A phrase that was given to me long ago, “If you don’t like the way something looks, change the way you look at it.” I hope you all have a beautiful evening 💜
