I’m from South Carolina and know this house. I attended a party there once in the 70’s. It was almost as derelict then as it is now. But, it is one of the most beautiful pieces of architecture of that era. South Carolina is filled with homes like this one. But alas they are being bought for the land and planted apartments instead of cotton or peaches. Take a left on any old dirt road and you’ll find one. Great filming and naration!
It's truly heart-breaking to see beautiful historic homes such as this just falling to rot. This one is not yet beyond salvation, but it soon will be, and what a shame that would be.
Kappy, that cat was staring at you like that because he could tell, somehow, in the way animals can, that you are an animal lover. How sweet of you to plan on buying cat food. And that house was palatial! What a front porch! I want to go there, now.
That’s very kind of you to say! I love animals! Haven’t had the heart to get a new dog since mine passed away a few months ago but I’m working on it! Thank you for watching!! :)
Love this old house. I hope the family that lived there are okay. It feels like they had to leave rather than moved. And the beautiful kitty cat was so regal. He allowed you to look at his house. That stained glass is absolutely stunning! Thank you for letting us tag along with you Kappy.
That porch is awesome. Definitely top 5! It was great to see no graffiti & nothing destroyed except by nature. Such a shame it wasn’t saved. Those beds were waterbeds. Must have leaked & made things worse. That Fischer Price clock toy was what I taught my kids to tell time on. A beautiful home with a porch of dreams. Take care Kappy. Another beauty bites the dust
I had the impression that cat was wondering what you were doing in his house. Loved the stained glass. That house would have been spectacular back in its day.
That kitty prob catches mice and other critters there. Super cool old house! That front hall/entry. Funny how it’s the additions that fail first, even if are a lot newer. Thanks for sharing!❤
I'm thinking the kitty belongs to a neighbor since the house has been empty for some years....but I am a softee too when it comes to stray animals...I feed them and try to help them too- ha!
A PS3 and a cat. Saw those cat things. ;) I love those wooden fireplace mantels. I hope that cat wasn't left behind or someone's pet. Just the fact you said you have cats makes me like you even more. I've had both pets, dogs and cat. I just prefer cats. All that stained glass. I wish I could pay to reclaim those.
I'll bet that house was the most beautiful on the street during its prime. Such regal beauty. I've never seen such an elaborate fireplace mantle with the stained glass cabinet doors. It's very unique. Thanks for the video Kappy.
What a beautiful pad. It breaks my heart seeing these old homes falling into disrepair. I'm actually surprised it has as many belongings in it, as it does. And the windows and staircases are still in one piece. Thankfully, the disgusting vandals and thieves have yet to take their anger and thievery out on it. I used to have a waterbed frame just like the one upstairs. They still sell waterbeds and they are really comfortable when you're younger. That is a good solid home to hold the weight of a queen size waterbed on the 2nd floor. Thanks, Kappy, for sharing these awesome pads with us. And for just being a kool dude. I think you were born many years too late. You would have fit right in in the Hippy era. Thanks for caring about the birds and animals you come across on your exploring ventures. :) You rock!!
So many unique pieces of furniture. The mantel with the glass top was very nice. Beautiful cat looked like he was at home or maybe thought the owner came back to visit.
Cute kitty. I love cats Kappy. What a beauty. Wow! Love that staircase and the glass window. That's a lot of dolls. Creepy. Shame, wish this beauty could be restored. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks, Kappy, for an exquisite tour of this charming old manor house ! I have an old Stark Piano !!! 🎹 How I wish I had the means to restore this gem ! How I can imagine sitting on that grand porch or walking up and down that stunning staircase ! Kappy, your work and dedication is appreciated by many of us viewers. It reminds us of days long ago, where our imaginations take us to the beauty of once upon a time.
Wow kappy beautiful find,I often wonder how you come across these homes? This one is so pretty and cozy,so glad it hasn't been vandalized. The veranda and French doors ,fireplaces make this house even more appealing, thanks for all your efforts and sharing 💯👍🏼
Hey Kappy! This is an awesome house, still! I would salvage a lot of those amazing features. Thanks for the cat pics. It had a "people" face. Lol. Stay safe! ❤❤❤✌️
Wow, what a great place. That porch was amazing. Must have been a great place to live in, lots of rooms, fireplaces, i would have liked to see it in its early days. Not in bad shape now, except for the roof and that kitchen floor. Thanks, Kappy, have a good Saturday
Cute kitty and that mantle I've never seen one with doors on it that's just crazy it's beautiful..I love thoes old stained glass just gives it character to thoes old places..

They left pretty much everything, pictures, clothes....... Wasn't that long ago a family was doin well there . Sad to see everything left to the weather. What a place it was, served many families. The cat is cool, id feed it too, see if hungry. T&B 🤝 Nice ending
What a BEAUTIFUL house. And a beautiful cat outside looking at you. I really like cats, they cheer me up. I see so much beauty in this place. I can tell it used to be something to see and a wonderful place to live in. What joy it would be to live in such a nice house. Love it! Thanks for showing.
Saddest part is the photo albums. Lovingly preserved memories of long forgotten family .Too bad they can't be saved & some family found. Any distant remaining family would probably love to have those keepsakes. Tragic, when gone they can never be recovered

Such an awesome old home. Too bad it did not get kept up. So much stuff left behind. Imagine it had endless possibilities in its hey day. Beautiful find.
What a great house! So much nice furniture left there. Train going by was a nice touch. What ever happened 2 the watch cat? He was kinda weird just staring in like that. Ghost of kitty past? 😅Lol. B safe out there.
This house is spectacular! The front door with oval side lights leading into the large foyer is unique. Loved the staircase, the French doors on either side of the entry. The fireplace mantles are gorgeous, esp. the one with stained glass doors. That bed frame in the bedroom with wood paneling looks like a waterbed frame.
What an awesome find! Loved that upstairs fireplace and the stained glass. If the walls could talk. Massive house! Another great one Mr Kappy! Thanks for taking me along Mr Kappy!
Hi Kappy, what a beautiful old house! I just loved the staircase, the front doorway, and the stained glass. It’s a shame that it probably won’t be around much longer with all the weather coming in. Someone with big bucks needs to buy this place ASAP and restore it
Agreed! Thank you for watching!! :)
With the price of homes these days. I think its crazy folks are not starting to fix these old homes up.
I would love to see this Home restored, but unfortunately it’s too far gone.
I think it is so sweet that you bring cat food to leave for cats you encounter. This cat is just gorgeous.
Yeah lil guy was! Reminds me of my cat at home, an orange Maine coon! Thank you very much for watching!! :)
That was my thought too if kitty lived there with his people and they left him. Happens too often. He is beautiful! And not afraid
