It was great to see #18 getting really involved in offense yesterday in an exciting game in Miami. But, the Cards allowed way too many 3rd-and-long first down conversions. It was frustrating. It doesn't take a football genius to know that the Cards defense needs an immediate upgrade in pass rush.

The defense definitely isnt ready to make a postseason run, and the offense could probably only sustain us through 2 out of the 4 playoff rounds. All the drama and anger, as well as the boisterous hope and expectations are both dumb to put onto a rebuilding team

When kyler has 4+ seconds to throw of course hes going to make plays and be able to hit his receivers. If you go back and look at Divisions that play each other you will clearly see this fact. Because rarely the same game plan is used. We need at least one more edge rusher and at least three defensive tackles to be a good competitive defense. Trading for pieces now is a Steve Keim move, it accomplishes nothing because the team is not going to go far even if they make the playoffs by some miracle, and it sells out the future, next year you take all this advancement and invest heavily into a defense and then you have a competitive functional football team. Anything less is just Bad teambuilding.

I don’t know honestly if there’s anyone available out there who’s worth the mortgaging in the first place especially the number of players we’d have to do to make this viable. If you keep in mind, we need at least four or five pieces, that’s a lot of mortgaging and I don’t know if there’s that many quality players available on the market The NFL trade aren’t that numerous usually, and I can’t imagine Arizona making that many trades.

Our o line actually has allowed 0 sacks in the last 3 games, that is partly kyler and being able to escape, but the o line actually hasnt been terrible, they allow pressures but they actually hold it down and (besides the packers game) we are the least penalized team in the league so we are disciplined, we do need a edge threat like azeez ojulari from the giants which would pair up brothers for a dynamic duo, he isnt super expensive and he already has 5 sacks on the season, and i say we need a good lb as well, gardeck was our only qb pressure we had so we need an edge and a lb, id even suggest going after ej speed from the colts which would be cheap as well andhe is young and athletic
