Dubs, unlike Pope, can actually play with his feet. Dubs also makes saves and, I would argue anyway, can catch the ball whereas Pope has come back after the previous injury looking half the keeper he was.
As regards Dubs he is our best goalkeeper on the books at this time! It’s a classic catch 22, do we / don’t we, either way we are damed if we do and damed if we don’t!!!
Can I say to everyone who wants to stay at SJP this will only get worse for the price as they need to make more revenue, we need a new stadium to generate huge revenue to compete properly not trying to do it on a budget so we can get top 4 every few years , but every years something has to give , with PSR we must have a new stadium, I’m in my 50’s and Iv been going to SJP for over 40 years but I can see why we must get a new stadium, how fantastic will it look and how much revenue it will bring not just to the club but to the city , how many jobs not just building it but running a stadium with all the food courts and other important aspects of a larger stadium, we have a lifetime chance of becoming a world class club with a stadium that matches , don’t push back or make the club think we want to stay , leazers park stadium with its larger size will still be the cathedral on the hill
I don’t understand why everyone is saying it’s a disgrace at a price of £90. It’s better than our current home kit at £80. And this same shirt back in 1995 was £35-45. In 1995 the price of shirts in comparison to minimum wage meant it was a lot more expensive back then.
If you look at inflation it's what they cost when they came out. And it all goes in to the club. And helps with FFP. It is steep though. And maybe it will come down a bit.
@@DuarenteedI don't think inflation really works with football shirts because they are so overinflated, you can argue cotton and shipping has gone up in price but not to the extent a shirt costs £90, a retro remake shirt should never cost more than £50 imo.
My original has lasted almost 30 years. That works out at around 3 quid a year. Admittedly it’s been too small to wear for 20 years but I won’t chuck it out.
Had it in 96 but long sleeve thought I was Tino having a kick about with my mates wish I’d kept it. Nice to see these strips come back but get to our age the beer belly shows up a bit too much 😂
Every position in the table is worth millions. Dont mess with Dubs. If he is willing to stay give him cup and some league games and a bonus. We could lose stars if we let a few positions slip because Pope doesn't stay fit or something.
That doesn't make any sense for the buying club. They wouldn't get him until the summer, which they can do on a free transfer with a prearranged contract now.
Ok, this is starting to feel like another transfer mess, i know the owners are pumping every penny they can into the club,, maybe the books are really tight under the current rules, i guess we will know by the end of January, its a shame, miggy out and a top rw or striker in could really give a boost to the drive to the top 4
Regarding the improvement in performances over the last seven games what is more likely. Option A. Dubravka has totally changed his form from the last two seasons, remember he cost us European football with his poor performances last year. Pope was rushed back from injury early as Dubs was so poor. The defence looked as terrified of him as they did the opposition. His communication has all ways been average at best. He cost us two corners from missed calls against Arsenal, and I don’t think he looked even competent for their corners. Option B. Tonali has been moved into the 6 and is disrupting and breaking up attacks and boosting the defence. Dubs has only had to make one save per game in the last 7 matches. I know which thing I think has helped the team.
I would have dubravka in the sticks every time over pope, he is cool under pressure commands his box good at distribution, pope is over rated and panics when on the ball.
PIF aren’t interested in Newcastle anymore. Sadly they’ve totally lost interest. Why isn’t anyone talking about the training ground!!?? That’s how I know they’re not interested. If they were, we’d have a brand new training ground by now. There’s no PSR restrictions on that! I can understand why the stadium plans take a while, but not the training ground. That should have been built in the first couple years since the takeover.
I buy one shirt per season, I’ve been a NUFC fan for 45 yrs, but these days all the sheep will go buy it even if they can’t afford to, £90 ? Im sick of being fleeced ,,,,,
I know it's a non starter, but I'd love to see Amanda return to the Toon in some capacity.
Let it go
Selling Dubravka this window would be beyond absurd.
I’ve got the original shirt still!
My fav retro shirt was a 3rd kit from the mid 80s - white and grey/silver stripes I have a photo of my 6 year old son in it
Keep Dubravka, remember the fiasco with goalkeepers in the last final!!
Exactly this!
Glad I have still got shirt from that era, still in mint condition.
Dubs, unlike Pope, can actually play with his feet. Dubs also makes saves and, I would argue anyway, can catch the ball whereas Pope has come back after the previous injury looking half the keeper he was.
Exciting times ahead for us geordies
As regards Dubs he is our best goalkeeper on the books at this time! It’s a classic catch 22, do we / don’t we, either way we are damed if we do and damed if we don’t!!!
Hilarious, best goalkeeper.
I cannot stop laughing.
Beautiful shirt but £90 price is scandalous.
So so so scandalous
We wanted adidas... We got adidas... U don't have to buy it... 90 quid is the norm these days
Bought mine. Only no name left. Getting it shipped to Australia.
It helps with ffp my ass £90 is an absolute joke. They would selll twice as many by having a lower price. No long sleeve version is a blunder too.
Taking the piss out of fans… but they know that the sheep will flock to buy these shirts…
I'd pay £90 for the PAV goalie shirt from the same season as this.
Yeh nice one with the Tyne bridge etc on it
Greenalls yellow top and blue shirts would go down well as Brazil colours
Shorts bloody pri text
They were made by Umbro and ASICS you tool.

Id like to see the denim blue top come out
Best shirt so far
If the shirt was cotton I would buy one - put a stinky 100% plastic thing - no chance!
Maybe you need to shower more….
Keep Dubravka till the summer and get a goalkeeper who’s an upgrade on him and Pope
£90 is a stretch and beyond me, unfortunately i doubt they'd put it on offer given they're timeless
The Adidas outlets have had retro kits of other clubs at a lower price.
The price is a disgrace
If you look at inflation it's what they cost when they came out. And it all goes in to the club. And helps with FFP. It is steep though. And maybe it will come down a bit.

Is what it is

👍😂🤍🖤
Dubravka deserves more credit
For me his distribution has been a key factor in our improvement
Had it in 96 but long sleeve thought I was Tino having a kick about with my mates wish I’d kept it. Nice to see these strips come back but get to our age the beer belly shows up a bit too much 😂
Still have my dads original. I had one too but was obviously a kids size .
You can see what we were lacking in experience when Ashley was in charge....
Bought 4 kits for the family. $218 Canadian per kit!😢😢😢😢. My 1980 Brown Ale kit is very threadbare. Cheers everyone 🍺
Still have the original shirt , saved £90 :)
How, many keepers do we currently have in our squad again?
Can't speak for the actual shop, but online, they sold out of the shearer ones. I'm gutted, a train up would cost more than the shirt
If it were 50 quid I'd probably buy 2 but 90 for one I'm not even gonna get 1.
It's not the 90s... Inflation.. blame Rachel reeves...
I was hovering over the buy button, but I thought... nah. Two weeks groceries that.
I think dubravka is a good keeper, I think he a makes a great number 2 for us.
Honestly, Dubs is outperforming Pope. I say he keeps his place.
i totally understand letting Dubravka go - for his own sake and his career but i agreee - keep him till summer and then let him go with our blessings.
Where did you get your top from Rob that’s a beauty!
Where did you get that top you are wearing??
If only dubravka could catch a ball he’d be amazing.
Eddie's Getting to Semtimentel with the Players and just Needs to Let them Go or we are Never going to get Rid of them
Bleep the EPL PIF sponsor training kit for 10 mil if ashley can SD the whole place we can Newcastle Retro very nice.
Price is a disgrace, they bring out kits every other month!
Every position in the table is worth millions. Dont mess with Dubs. If he is willing to stay give him cup and some league games and a bonus. We could lose stars if we let a few positions slip because Pope doesn't stay fit or something.
Keep Dubs until summer
3:54 NEVER FOR THAT PRICE! MADNESS £90 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Could they sell Dubravka and lone him back?
That doesn't make any sense for the buying club. They wouldn't get him until the summer, which they can do on a free transfer with a prearranged contract now.
@@Robert.Sheardit would if its al hilal
With willocks injury past... Out on some skis is the last thing I'd let him do... 🤕
Yeah I’m really old hahaah. And keep Duby!!! Or is it Dubs
I've still got my 'grandad shirt'. It's in pretty good nik.
Isn't he still under contract? If so there's no discussion to be had! It's upto the club!!

I hope they make the VERY SEXY cobalt blue 98/99 away top🙏
We want best player's tho costs cash???
I hope his title means he brings in lots of cash 👍🏼
Has Hayden gone to Portsmouth yet. Also can you see Miggy, Longstaff, Barnes and Koul leaving us on loan or being sold this window?
90 quid is excessive for a retro shirt Robbo 60 would have been about right I think
Only let Dubravka go if we can get Kelleher
I want dubravka to start even if pope comes back soon
Sell him with a deal to loan him back till the end of the season
I would have dubravka in the sticks every time over pope, he is cool under pressure commands his box good at distribution, pope is over rated and panics when on the ball.
She took a selfie photo in the toilet in front of the mirror and wished Newcastle the best?!🤣🤣🤣
🥱
I ain’t buying more gear until I start seeing some decent signings come in
Sign Pickford in the summer, he will not want to play in the championship!
Are u on drugs... Pickford...
Get rid of the GK
PIF aren’t interested in Newcastle anymore.

They spent a fortune upgrading the current facilities.
