This is an INCREDIBLY accurate description of this scent! This fragrance has an incredibly heavy presence, but not in an agrores I’ve, hyper masculine way. It’s confident, heavy, leathery. Not for the shy for sure.
Fantastic review! I am wearing LE LION preferably in the evening and it immediately brings me to a place of ‘old world’ elegance, sparkling opulence and voluptuous indulgence - like the Ritz in Paris, which Chanel herself called home! Especially during these times, I love how highly transportive this fragrance is and also, how it inspires to elevate everyday life experiences - for example as far as one’s evening attire is concerned! After all, this is a scent inspired by a Leo, hence a majesty! So make an effort, put on your velvet dinner jacket or silken dressing gown, your most extravagant pair of crested loafers, help yourself with a Cognac or Whiskey and get comfortable in front of a fireplace! Voilà! Luxe, Calme et Volupté - as the French would say.
Can I just say?: Why do so many other channels try so hard to have some kind hook at the beginning of a vid'? Robin just opens (now) with a "Hello, Hi!" and it works. I like it. It's charming! You hear it and you know it's an MFH video. (Although, I do like the ol' "Yes, I'm very well, thank you; very well indeed," too.)
Thank for this instructive review. I was checking out Le Lion for a friend. He is room filling, warm, embracing, very kind and a bit ‘animalic’. 😂 On Le Lion I love the interplay with amber and patchouli sticking on the skin for hours and hours. Warmth and balsamic texture becomes part of your body. And at the same time the elevated and subtle minimalistic Chanel DNA. I really fell in love with this fragrance. Btw my faves are N22, Bois des Iles, La Pausa (summer), 1957 for intercourse😂. Thanks a lot.
I love the scent but I feel so inadequate when I tried on my skin. I feel I am no up to the demands of the art and opulence that the fragrance exudes. I can only imagine a fit, tan, charismatic, big presence south-central European with robust grey hair going out in the streets of Paris, Madrid, Florence, Dubrovnik or Vienna for a coffee or a stroll with his beloved one.
Hi Robin, although I don't have this one but am sorely tempted to buy it, you give an exceptional review. From how you describe Le Lion De Chanel, would I be right in thinking that it's a wee bit similar to Tiffany For Men (Vintage), which was created by Olivier Polge's dad Jacques Polge.?
I stumbled upon this video just now and I love it. I was actually hurrying through a store and stopped dead in my tracks because this powdery smell caught my attention. I tried to ignore it and moved on, but had to return 20 minutes later to ask about it. Turns out it was le lion. It reminds me quite a bit of shalimar, which i am using on occasion (i love it, but it’s very heavy and wintery and my boyfriend jokes that he can still smell it in the entire apartment the next day...). But it feels more balanced. I probably won‘t buy it, because like you said: it‘s not an everyday scent. Btw: i am a mom. 😂
First time watching u, nice vid! Enjoy ur descriptions and perspective. When ur boyfriend mentioned that it smelled a bit like his mom, it made me wonder if he is picked up on the Chanel DNA? There something powdery, sophisticated and glam about most Chanel frags. Reminds me of my mom too. Like coromandel. Interested to try this-
Love your approach to the "Before you buy ____" Had a bad feeling it would be like watching a Jeremy Fragrance video Was i wrong? I certainly was! Jeremy Fragrance is an okay TH-camr, but he is too much "in your face" in my opinion. You should check out Stronger With You Absolutely, Paco Rabanne Invictus Victory and Le Male Le Parfum Jean Paul All love from me!
Hi Robin, This sounds interesting, not so sure I could wear it though. I'd love to see a review for YSL La Nuit De L'Homme. It's probably my go-to evening fragrance.

Wow. Such accurate description. Great review.
So glad you are posting videos again. Great content with your special MFH flair. You are really fun to watch and I get a lot out of your videos.

Great video, You are one of the first who revieuwed it I think. I just blind bought shear revival nothern lights on your recommendation
honestly this deserves to be expensive, the quality is unmatched
I have tried this and I love it, but I can smell leather-ish but however there’s no leather note in it. How’s that? Mind explaining? I’m confused haha
It reminds me of Guerlain's Shalimar, which is my favourite female fragrance that I like to wear as a male.
I’m a male and I wear Shalimar. I even wear it to work. People have asked me “what are you wearing?”
All I say is “Guerlain.”
@@MB-wz1fv it's one of the greatest fragrances ever.
I own shalimar from gueirlan and le lion and they are very similar. In the dry down they both have their own thing going on. Enjoy both.
I must try this stuff, sounds exactly like what I'm in to

Wow what a review so glad a found your channel

Good review, easy to follow and full of personal thoughts which are interesting
hi robin , do you use minoxidil or finasteride ?

damn, this is the first time I've been so early to a robin james video.
Hey!
@@ManForHimself hello, love the vid
Le lion is a very nice perfume..but for me I like guerlain Shalimar..its a very similar fragrance but doesn't cost as much..
Hola ¿Qué perfume me recomiendas? Soy un hombre de 40 años, soltero y que ama oler ESPECTACULAR. Gracias.
I got a sample, but need to find an occasion to wear it out
You're right, it's very much an occasion scent!
Still waiting for that armaf milestone and sillage reviews.😁

I agree Mathias, Jeremy's put me right off fragrance ' influencers' and this guy is a refreshing change!
If you love Le Lion you need to try Coromandel.
Yes, I have heard this. I don't love this. It's good but it's not a favourite.
@@ManForHimself Thanks for your honest review
Hi robin shall I go for label m matte paste or morroc clay for fine hair?
Great video sir..
I would like to see a video of robin's boyfriend favourite aftershaves
Wait hes gay?
@@irfanmohd091 And… your point is?
Why?
Stay out of his personal affairs and stop being messy.
Mind your business and enjoy his content.
@@Fjgohowhfjgohoeksj dont get triggered i genuinely dint know he was gay
If your boyfriend's mom owned Shalimar, the two have (in my opinion) very similar openings and characteristics.
I’ve done a couple of side by side comparisons. Le Lion makes the current Shalimar EDP feel and smell “inadequate” in the dry down! A feat to be sure!
Will you please suggest me one which is a fordable to buy and be heavy which it make them know I'm coming before they sees me XD
Try Boss The Scent Absolute
Monsieur- Frederic Malle
please robin you must do a video about soleil neige.thank you
This guy is awesome.
Robin try lord of misrule aftershave from lush
Hi Robin,
This sounds interesting, not so sure I could wear it though.
I'd love to see a review for YSL La Nuit De L'Homme. It's probably my go-to evening fragrance.
Le lion de chanel it's heavy really heavy it's not a daily fragrance.
It's like McGregor you will know when it's there 😂😂
What about Creed Aventus I'm thinking of getting one
Do 1957 review.
Love le lion!!!!!!
This is for someone who is 40+ lol. Young guys will hate this for sure.
I'm taking 10
Grow the handlebar out again
This smells like a band-aid. I got it and regretted it.
Did you just said you have boyfriend AAAAAAAAAAAA omg omg omg 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯😜😜😜😜😜😜😜
Why is that so weird?
Would love to see your bf?? Must be cute 😍
