    Middle East Meets French Perfumery
    Perfect Review for This Fragrance.
    - Chanel Blazes its own trail and doesn't care what other brands do.
    - Why we appreciate Chanel's craftsmanship over crass commercial interest.
    - Chanel headband and thank you card.
    I don't really like Middle East fragrances, but I'm really enjoying Chanel's interpretation here.
    Its both very accessible and very challenging at the same time.

    Great review! Thank you, however, I have to say that Le Lion smells a lot like a more subdued version Shalimar.
    I love Chanel and have a few from the line, but in this instance Guerlain have been there and done that almost 100 years ago.
    In my opinion, after testing both side by side, Le lion is definitely softer version of Shalimar. Have a wonderful birthday 🥳
    Sending lots of love to all ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

    I love Le Lion. Chanel managed to create a fusion between a woody , smokey leather and a traditional orïental amber. Leave it up to Olivier Polge to create a perfume like this. Polge already had an impressive list of great perfumes on his repetoire, original Dior Homme being one of them , before he joined Chanel. Happy birthday man!

    I just smelled this today. It's absolutely gorgeous. I'm surprised nobody has compared this to L'Air du Desert Marocain! To me this is LDDM with the Coromandel patch and citrus. If you like LDDM you will LOVE Le Lion.

    I have a lot to say indeed, but it’s not the time or place yet. One thing though: I find it ironic that most people are relating this to Shalimar, and as “original” as this maybe wants to be, it still picks up after masterpieces of old - in a “Chanelesque” way. So maybe they’re not quite as different as what Dior, Guerlain and Hermès are doing...? They’re all behind the money-making schemes, as is the world nowadays. I haven’t personally tried this release, and I’m eager to - but I’m not expecting it to be best of, as that too is relative.
    As for Demachy, as much as I agree with you that Dior follows Chanel’s path, I still think he’s brilliant in the technical aspects of perfumery, and I do respect some of his most recent releases - perhaps not for the complexity, but more about their symbiotic simplicity in perfectly technical execution. But that’s just my $0.02 on that comment... coming from ego, as I’ve seen your comment is too. :) ♥️ hugs my friend 🤗

      @yuphan3267 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree. As far as new releases go Eugen is overreacting. This isn't much of an original perfume it has an uncanny resemblance to Shalimar or Ambre Sultan... Chanel's version of Shalimar perhaps? He's just caught up in the bliss of a new release. All the Chanel fans gonna fight me now.

    I've heard so many fragcom influencers-who more or less, no doubt, love great fragrances-speak of the one house they would keep above all. Guerlain. Dior. Tom Ford. Creed. Amouage. Thierry Mugler, even. The list is long, but somehow the mighty bucks from "elite" conglomerates like Lancome and LVMH ruin fragrance lines as if intentional to destroy what is beautiful. Even clone houses like ARMAF, Lattafa et. al, despite the synthetics, are putting out the love we see in their excellent presentations (contrasting to the paltry packaging in DIOR). And yet Chanel, despite the odds and pressure, show what is true art.
