Good racing. Was pulling for the 28 but he didn't have the set-up for anywhere but the bottom. 12 car did what he had to do to win.
Winger is definitely the hardest driver out there… proving that the Rocket XR1 is a great race car..great crew work, they know what they’re doing ,no guess work there..as a fan of super late model racing I’m so glad we can count on Winger to be in the winner’s circle..
Hired crew chief?
Winger and Erb, jr. Both rockets. Glad to see winger some this year always against better teams thats how you can get better.
I think HTF is lost for answers. Their TH-cam channel has far outpaced their racing success. Don't know why Joseph wants to constantly run low. Getting passed by the best should cause you to make an adjustment at some point. They need to consult with someone outside their circle.
I agree that HTF needs someone from the outside with a fresh set of eyes to bring in another perspective. After getting the LH last fall, the result was an obvious improvement capped with back to back podiums at the XR race at All Tech. And that result came with a small motor in the Draime. 2023' started out with some promise but after crash at The Dream, HTF just seems lost or at the least, just stagnant. If they aren't willing to try something outside their bubble, they risk going backwards and losing what they gained going with the Longhorn.
Most teams have a crew chief they need someone.
I think they need a crew chief to help set up the car.
I was thinking he doesn't know a different line than the bottom.
they need a crew chief paid to keep them consistent, they have good equipment and good talent but lack a consistent set up, and game plan. you cant run with the big dogs constantly flying by the seat of your pants.
Does JJ forget how to drive after the heat race I don’t get it?
JoJo does the best that JoJo can do put him up against the top wheels, they drive around him.
Slicker track, they just don’t have an answer for.

The HTF series was a success and applause to them for introducing a successful series. 👏
The HTF race program however needs some help. I’m sure we can all agree the HTF crew is a lovable group and we all want to see them succeed.
If they don’t mind running mid pack and just want to show up to promote their HTF series, that’s awesome but they should inform their fans that’s the goal so the fans know what to expect.
However if they desire to win, which by the way they talk in nearly every video seems to be the goal, then they have many decisions and planning to do in the off season. The team needs major help with chassis setup, aero and tires. Possibly a full time crew chief is all they need to bring the next level of success.
Joseph is also a really great dude and good driver especially when it comes to qualifying. He’s patient, reserved and considerate but perhaps too
much and lacks the reckless abandon or disregard for personal safety to be a top level dirt late model racer.
Also it’s entirely possible I have no idea what I’m talking about and therefore my opinion means nothing.

Watch the way they grind tires, you can't go fast with tires shaped like octagons...lol
Every block on the tire has a drive edge that needs to be sharp and it's different between the left and right side, while the blocks wear out the drive edge still stays sharp.
The grinder rotates clockwise so it takes a particular pattern to achieve a sharp edge on the drive blocks of the tire.
That's how you stay fast from beginning to end...btw

Until they swallow their pride, and realize what’s in their brain that they have won with, isn’t cutting it on a larger stage. I have commented for ever, Center and Corner Exit. Same darn issues we had in a Sprint Car. Until we Swallowed our Pride, we couldn’t win on a drier or slick track. The answer is, Sending Jorden to Super School, (helping with pride) and Make some changes. Love these guys, they have everything to win, including Driver Talent. It’s their Pride.

It seems they had better luck with the capital chassis. They won more races with it and all setups aren't the same with every chassis you have to do different things with every chassis brand and you have to drive them different

I watch all your videos and I think when it comes race day you need a crew chief . It’s nice to have a family race team, but to finish consistently in the top five you need help. Please do this before the sponsors drop you. From the comments you have many people think the same thing help help help is needed quickly. I love all the things you do,except the racing.I don’t think your driver has the ability to run with the big boys.good luck . I wish the best.
And yet all these people who comment can’t name a single crew chief that makes setup decisions for their drivers. Josh Putnam won the HTF series with family help but since that doesn’t work...

@@dustinkendall1748I would consider his dad being a family member to his race team as the original poster said isn’t practical. And what’s amazing is Ashton had to get out on the road , pay his dues, do stupid things and finally after a couple years.... success.

From 1st to 7th in 4 laps then from 7th to 17th, lol, thats htf, naah thats htr.
He finished 8th . Not 17th.
I was at whynot this weekend and two things should have happened after Saturdays race first is Winger should give Joiner half his check for helping him win and second is Joiner needs to buy the flagman a case of Bengay cause he needs it after waving the blue flag at Joiner for 15-20 laps. Why do they have a blue flag nobody pays it any attention with no penalty for ignoring it.
Youre not smart for this comment... asa lap car, when given the blue flag, You hold your line, It is up to the lead car to find a way around.. . ERB JR was just to slow. The whole top half of the track was open for the lead car? So now what is the excuse!? There isnt one, Your driver was so slow he couldnt get off the bottom and Turbo and winger ran the top and got 1 &2 with 10 laps left in the race.. Dumb comment. . A+ for that

The HTF crew is too close to the situation. They need an outside boss to run the setup and team. It's a family gig, so that makes it tough, but if you wanna run with the big dogs, you gotta look at this as a business, not a family venture. Sponsors will soon agree.

Too many family members taking a wage to pay a crew chief that could actually make them money and a sponsor that is just throwing his money away sponsoring extremely expensive engines to go backwards every race...been watching and following since the start of the youtube but seriously thinking that ego is more important than winning at this point and by the comments on most platforms im not the only one.....
They got the sponser to buy a 50k roller and a 50k motor,. What's another 100k for a crew chief
The sponsor has bought 2 engines now and maybe paid the rebuild costs on the other ones too...i am a fan and they bring alot to the sport as in other drivers and teams making vlogs ect now but damn frustrating when you know they can do better with the right personnel on the team.

I don't know what changed in joes Life but he has no interest in Racing anymore,You don't go from winning consistently with basic equipment to losing consistently with great equipment,Put Jesse in the seat he has a visible passion for driving, And start setting that car up for the level y'all are at, Still setting up like your running crates at bubba's Track dam your in the big leagues start acting like it

Why does your driver qualify so good but can not run with the big boys. You have the best equipment .
All the joiners need an EGO check! They might as well take their brains out and play with it at this point.The entire HTF team needs to look in the mirror and have some self-awareness and stop letting their egos get in the way. They 100-percent have all the equipment they need to win but what they don't have is a crew chief they don't grind tires right and calling your chassis manufacturer asking questions isn't going to get you to the front man up and just admit that y'all suck at setting up a chassis and grinding tires and hire a crew chief!
Just admit you have been out of the game too long and the sport has passed you by.

They took a capital and the trusty Draime to the world 100 the first time and made the feature and have not made it since with supposedly superior equipment

@@redeyedmongoose2963 nutzycop is basically saying Joseph and the whole team sucks for the amount of money they have put Into the team this year. None of them know how to set a chassis up or grind tires the correct way! They should have hired a crew chief a long damn time ago
