- This is the first episode from one of our recent trips to the HI-DESERT! Where our content director, Nelson Flores, actually lived for awhile. Anyways, we met up with Nick Hall and took a look at his sick Foxbody Mustang 5.0 swapped Ford Ranger w/ I-BEAM conversion. This is a tried and true budget build and it's very inspiring to see.

The best thing about this truck (and it is a sweet truck) is this guy's attitude towards the build! The definition of someone dedicated and practical; not just building it for the glam.

I've been working on my build for over 7 years, at home with (some) used parts. A lot of 'heart' goes into a project truck that is owner-built, and with a much deeper appreciation.

Reppin the cleetus hat!! i almost put a 5.0 in my 92 toyota 4x4 but decided to stick with a 3.0 slow long block to keep the value of the truck since its such a nice survivor no rust ANYWHERE now like a brand new truck. If I had a danger ranger it would definitely have got the 5.0 !! I got 349000 miles out of the original 3.0 and drove it to the shop for a heart transplant it was way down on compression but still ran.

I have the PRP seats and harnesses in my TJ and they’re by far one of the most comfortable seats I’ve ever driven in. Ironically, through a body off build I haven’t gotten around to swapping the wheel, so I still have the stock Jeep wheel.

5.0 fox motors are great when built right and I’m an ls guy I have 2 ls3 240sx turbo and all motor. But I had the nicest 89 5.0 GT I sold last year for 12 grand

I used a c5 trans out of an 80s bronco ll swapped the bell housing to v8 and used the borg Warner 1350 electronic shift works great 👌

I know it needs an oil change soon but because of the engine swap I’m unsure of what motor oil to get. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance 😁
