Well, when you live in a place with a lot of humidity, most of the time cold weather, don't have always time to heat water and bath yourself properly after digging in the woods to find food...your appearance is in a kinda way...
And having dirt and branches in her hair, pale skin...what else? Reddish hair, freckles, properly footwear made to help her climb mountains, quite knowing how to blend in with the environment from there. Whom knows, probably cut her feet many times in the sharp stones, trying to hide from some...
So she was a huntress...
