SPOILERS FOR TITANOMACHY ACT 2 AND 3
This video goes through a small selection of the multitudes of nymphs featured in greek mythology, giving you a sense of their differences and similarities. A story told from the perspective of Iapetus's wife, the oceanid, Clymene as she travels with her sisters back to their own homes after the war.
Living Mythology is an attempt to entertain, relax and educate all in the one place. We are trying to forge narratives so that people can experience the religions and mythologies of the world as they were meant to be. Not as dry academic monoliths, but as living breathing tales and parables as experienced by the peoples who worshipped these beings, in an attempt to make sense of their own lives and the world around them.
This channel is in its infancy, so we hope to improve and develop it as we gain more experience.
All of the tales are taken from very conflicting traditions across many centuries, so there will be many a moment when decisions need to be made to create a more cohesive narrative. If we present something that seems to be in contrast to details, rest assured we have researched many forms of the traditions and come to the conclusions we have done to form the videos.
There will NEVER be total agreement on any of these narratives due to the history and differing ways they developed over the centuries.
These videos are for entertainment and an easy gateway to the subject. If you wish more academic details then please direct your attention to the wide source material and others who perform those types of academic video essays.

I had always wondered what exactly happened after titanomachy to the other titans. From what I was able to gather, which isn't much, they either join Zeus's court or fade from the tales entirely. While it may not be a sourced story, I genuinely appreciate your efforts to make your own. You have such a love and respect for these tales that it could almost appear in Hesiod's theogeny. Keep up the hard work and dedication, Lady Lightbringer. I wish you and Sir Baldermort a wonderful new year. 🤠
I found very little information myself but am excited to go further in our tales, (whilst sticking as close to what little info we have haha!)

I love how you portray Zeus the Victor here. there MUST be celebration as well as reminder that they are one andall Family and that Cronos had indeed gone quite mad. However he is not so blind to see the wounds of war and that for some, even in victory there is no Joy.
he is far from perfect and he will have his willful domineering streaks. However he is attempting to be as just a ruler as possible given all of this was thrust on his shoulders as a youth and he was never allowed to be anything else.

Ms. Light ringer & Mr. Baldermort, so far your retelling of greek mythology, from the greek creation myth to the Titanomachy have been absolutely stellar, you've given solid characters to both the main & characters (i.e zeus, Olympians, cronus.) to minor characters like the primordial to titans and minor gods, while also making the mythos' world come alive in a way I've never seen! Obviously it is in the comments, but I am a pretty smart fella and I had NO clue that the Nymphs had such rich and detailed specific lore like this. Still kinda confused. Are nymphs the "souls" of pieces of nature (trees, flowers, stones, rivers etc) or do they just live inside them?

You've categorized the Lapads/Lapades as darkness - yes they are nymphs of the underworld but they bear torches
- But they can be categorised as the 'fire' nymphs - as they bring light and fire - not darkness.
They accompany Hecate on her night-time travels and hauntings.
Some accounts have descriptions on how the Lampads' torches have the power to make one mad. They also serve as handmaidens to other Underworld goddesses, such as Persephone/Proserpina and Melinoë.
