FYI - Neither The Warning or Band-Maid is a heavy metal band. Both are rock bands. They do have some heavy songs but most of their music is primarily of the rock genre.

About the white stage costumes, in an interview for a French magazine in, I think from memory, 2018 or 19, Asami, the vocalist said, "We're girls, we don't want to dress like boys. Also we are all short and the white makes us easier to see on stage". And short they are, from drummer Haruna at 1.45 meters to tallest, Miyako and Fami (the new girl not in this video) at just under 1.6 meters (about 4' 9" to 5' 2" in old measure) I got to meet the band after their first gig in London back in June at the start of a short tour of the UK and Europe, and although I have been following them for several years prior, I was totally unprepared for both just how short and petite they all are, and also how stunningly beautiful they all are. Add to that their excellence musically, and I think these Ladies have what it takes to conquer the world.

Lovebites are a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, who was previously in the band DESTROSE that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects. Any Lovebites video recorded in 2021 or earlier, the basist will be Miho (ESP Bass), any from 2022 or later, it is 'new girl' Fami (Bacchus Bass, usually a 5 string) The present members are, Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker. Midori, (Midori Tatematsu) ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'. Before Lovebites a member of all female band GEKIJO METALICCHE. Miyako, ( Watanabe Miyako, also has used the name Mi Ya) Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. The 'serious' one with long black hair. Before Lovebites a member of the bands DROP OF JOKER, 21g and SONIC LOVER RECKLESS. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcibed and played on piano as though they are classical works. It would be accurate to think of her as a classical pianist who also plays guitar in a heavy metal band. A remarkable young woman. Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos. Fami, Bacchus Bass. The 'new girl', recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was in her teens. Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. Before Lovebites she had been in Destrose, Miho's former band, and was the first to join her in the new band. I saw Lovebites live in London recently, and watched Haruna in awe. She plays powerfully, fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long. She uses a double kick bass pedal at unbelievable speed. All members of the band can play piano/keyboards. They were the first all female Japanese band to play at the Wacken festival, Germany in 2018, also playing at the Bloodstock festival in the UK and winning the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. In 2019 they toured the UK with Dragon Force and opened for Arch Enemy in China. Following Miho's departure in 2021 they went on hiatus, two members, Asami and Miyako getting married and having babies. Their 'comeback' concert, the first with Fami on Bass, was in March 2023. Thank you for taking up LOVEBITES. They formed in 2016 and made their debut the following year, but in 2021, the band went on hiatus due to the departure of their bassist (the bassist in this video). They made a spectacular comeback in 2022 with the addition of new bassist Fami, who was selected through a public audition. And this year, from June to September, they successfully completed a world tour visiting the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Denmark, South Korea, Japan, and the USA. Lovebites Drummer Haruna and Bassist Miho were previously in a band called Destrose. You should check out their song Rin. They disbanded in 2015 and all the members went on to form other bands.

The main principles of the band presented by Miho, the founder and first bassist of LOVEBITES, are as follows. ①Heavy metal (basic policy) ②All English lyrics (strategy for global expansion) ③White costumes (Most metal bands wear black costumes, and if these short girls wore black costumes, they would be hidden, so they wear white costumes to contrast and stand out.) ④High heels (to compensate for short height) The white costumes can be dyed in various colors by colored lighting. They wear white outfits and are lit up with colored lights that reflect the themes and genres of their lyrics. The white outfits have an advantage because LOVEBITES' songs incorporate different metal genres and there are many different aspects to their lyrics and music. Miho also thought about the visual on stage. Asami will modify stage lighting effects etc. on-site. For white costumes, each person requests their preferences and ideas from the costume staff. LOVEBITES are elite musicians - in terms of pure musicianship, I'd put them in the top three metal bands on the planet (along with Dream Theater and Symphony-X). Their music is heavily inspired by the classic metal of the 1980s and early 1990s. If LOVEBITES were playing this music in 1985, they'd be as famous and successful as Metallica and Megadeth.

This band busted the doors open for all the other bands. Formed in 2008 they were not first but all the previous bands never succeeded.

There are dozens of all-female Japanese metal bands. They are all fantastic and none of them make even one bad song. I know that sounds like hyperbole but it is not. With Japanese music, it is just point, click, and win.

Yes, those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just seven years. Miyako (black hair guitarist) is also a concert level classical pianist. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined the band; her voice is rather clean, no opera training. Miho (former bassist and founder of the band) once said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. They recently finished their world tour in Europe, Asia and the USA. My next recommendations are “Set the world on fire”, “The hammer of wrath”, “Judgement day”, “Shadowmaker”, “MDO”, “Break the wall”, “Raise some hell”. Changes happened a year after this Concert. In 2021 Bassist *Miho's* father died during Covid, and she quit the band for personal reasons. Lovebites went on hiatus, and 2 of them had babies. This band have no peers. Great musicians, great composition, and the nicest, fan friendly people you could possibly imagine. They have a catalogue of approximately 60 songs and, hand on heart, there is no album filler in that number.
Congratulations on finding Lovebites. Japanese metal is on an incredible roll, especially the women, who are kicking ass on an epic scale. Another great band you should check out is Bridear. Founded in 2011, they were in the second wave of all-female heavy-metal bands. They have the classic twin-lead attack and technical rhythm section. They have gone through some changes but have always kept their hard, heavy, technical sound. Their tiny bassist even does death growls! They just released their new album on June 28 and it’s a banger. BURRN is calling it a masterpiece. Metal Hammer compares them to Lovebites. Japan now has an emporium of stacked female bands and it doesn't seem to be slowing down there's almost now TO MANY to keep up with l. In Korea you also have Rolling Quartz. Mexico has Crypto. I don't know when you recorded this but Lovebites just went back to Japan after playing in the USA for the first time in their 8th year career. It was only four dates though

About the white stage costumes, in an interview for a French magazine in, I think from memory, 2018 or 19, Asami, the vocalist said, "We're girls, we don't want to dress like boys. Also we are all short and the white makes us easier to see on stage".
And short they are, from drummer Haruna at 1.45 meters to tallest, Miyako and Fami (the new girl not in this video) at just under 1.6 meters (about 4' 9" to 5' 2" in old measure) I got to meet the band after their first gig in London back in June at the start of a short tour of the UK and Europe, and although I have been following them for several years prior, I was totally unprepared for both just how short and petite they all are, and also how stunningly beautiful they all are. Add to that their excellence musically, and I think these Ladies have what it takes to conquer the world.

Lovebites are a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, who was previously in the band DESTROSE that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects.
Any Lovebites video recorded in 2021 or earlier, the basist will be Miho (ESP Bass), any from 2022 or later, it is 'new girl' Fami (Bacchus Bass, usually a 5 string)
The present members are,
Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker.
Midori, (Midori Tatematsu) ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'. Before Lovebites a member of all female band GEKIJO METALICCHE.
Miyako, ( Watanabe Miyako, also has used the name Mi Ya) Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. The 'serious' one with long black hair. Before Lovebites a member of the bands DROP OF JOKER, 21g and SONIC LOVER RECKLESS. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcibed and played on piano as though they are classical works. It would be accurate to think of her as a classical pianist who also plays guitar in a heavy metal band. A remarkable young woman.
Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos.
Fami, Bacchus Bass. The 'new girl', recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was in her teens.
Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. Before Lovebites she had been in Destrose, Miho's former band, and was the first to join her in the new band. I saw Lovebites live in London recently, and watched Haruna in awe. She plays powerfully, fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long. She uses a double kick bass pedal at unbelievable speed.
All members of the band can play piano/keyboards.
They were the first all female Japanese band to play at the Wacken festival, Germany in 2018, also playing at the Bloodstock festival in the UK and winning the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. In 2019 they toured the UK with Dragon Force and opened for Arch Enemy in China. Following Miho's departure in 2021 they went on hiatus, two members, Asami and Miyako getting married and having babies. Their 'comeback' concert, the first with Fami on Bass, was in March 2023.

The main principles of the band presented by Miho, the founder and first bassist of LOVEBITES, are as follows.
①Heavy metal (basic policy)
②All English lyrics (strategy for global expansion)
③White costumes (Most metal bands wear black costumes, and if these short girls wore black costumes, they would be hidden, so they wear white costumes to contrast and stand out.)
④High heels (to compensate for short height)
The white costumes can be dyed in various colors by colored lighting.
They wear white outfits and are lit up with colored lights that reflect the themes and genres of their lyrics.

There are dozens of all-female Japanese metal bands. They are all fantastic and none of them make even one bad song. I know that sounds like hyperbole but it is not. With Japanese music, it is just point, click, and win.

TH-cam just recommended your video reaction. You’re very welcome to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites. These women are extremely talented, skillful and exceptional and versatile musicians. Definitely they deserve more recognition. Their live performances are just outstanding. Their main influences are the great metal bands of the past but they have been developing their own and unique style. Some people say that they’re breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Others say that they’re angels who came to planet Earth in order to save metal. Yes, those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just seven years. Miyako (black hair guitarist) is also a concert level classical pianist. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined the band; her voice is rather clean, no opera training. Miho (former bassist and founder of the band) once said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. They recently finished their world tour in Europe, Asia and the USA. My next recommendations are “Set the world on fire”, “The hammer of wrath”, “Judgement day”, “Shadowmaker”, “MDO”, “Break the wall”, “Raise some hell”. For a different side of them “Liar”, “Chopin etude + Swan song”, “Edge of the world”, “Empty daydream”, “Epilogue”. All songs live.

the problem with baby metal in my eyes is that is an idol band with session musicians they do not write their own music do not play their instruments and when they get too old they replayced their songs are catchy but they not much different from boy bands we seen in the 2000s some money men behind it

Changes happened a year after this Concert. In 2021 Bassist *Miho's* father died during Covid, and she quit the band for personal reasons. Lovebites went on hiatus, and 2 of them had babies. They added 20yo phenom *Fami* as their new bassist in Oct 2022, and they have come back better than ever. I recall that Miho's father passed away from acute heart disease about a week after LOVEBITES participated in Wacken Open Air in August 2018.

Congratulations on finding Lovebites. Japanese metal is on an incredible roll, especially the women, who are kicking ass on an epic scale. Another great band you should check out is Bridear. Founded in 2011, they were in the second wave of all-female heavy-metal bands. They have the classic twin-lead attack and technical rhythm section. They have gone through some changes but have always kept their hard, heavy, technical sound. Their tiny bassist even does death growls!
They just released their new album on June 28 and it’s a banger. BURRN is calling it a masterpiece. Metal Hammer compares them to Lovebites. They have posted two video singles from the album: “Still Burning” th-cam.com/video/v7UOTBAtJh0/w-d-xo.html and “Cult” th-cam.com/video/ohFf1pwwoz0/w-d-xo.html. The show opener Thunder Vengeance was the song before Holy War and that was the song that simply destroyed me the first time I saw it. That clinched it.👊❤️

Oh boy if you want more female bands your gonna get a flood of them now. Japan now has an emporium of stacked female bands and it doesn't seem to be slowing down there's almost now TO MANY to keep up with l. In Korea you also have Rolling Quartz. Mexico has Crypto. I don't know when you recorded this but Lovebites just went back to Japan after playing in the USA for the first time in their 8th year career. It was only four dates though
