I have to say there is something that is so enlightening to me when you show your art journal and turn each page. The next page is better than the last. Your black ink drawings are my favorite and I have been practicing this technique. Thank you for ending my year with joy. I’m new too the art world for over a year now.

As always you are a wealth of inspiration and to remind us that our sketchbooks are a spring board for more art to create on other surfaces and to develop these ideas into a series. Thank you for your consistency in creating meaningful content and to encourage us to follow our own instincts in our regular art practice. Oh that’s so lovely of you, thank you Rose…I’ve definitely worked my way up to these large sketchbooks I started with tiny ones and have gradually got bigger and bigger. But I love a tiny sketchbook too…whatever size that you are going to use is always the best size to choose..x

Question: do you gesso your covers before you paint one them? (I love Daler Rowney sketchbooks! They are excellent value and quality 😊 I love drawing big so they are a perfect size for that kind of freedom, especially when I need to express my emotions, deep and light 💜💛 been in a bit of a slump lately so your post arrived at the perfect time. P.S I need Beatrice's book lol 😄 a beautiful book! Love the Taschen series 👌
