Well yeah, kinda. Drugs make it easier to connect emotions to the song. 'She strikes me as somebody who likes to jam when not quite sober (see the picture on her transit card). I mean - a lot of musicians do. I play my guitar so much better when I smoked it's not even funny.
I've seen this a couple dozen times and it still makes me cry every time. The way the entire subway just stops and watches... it must've been amazing to be there.

I liked how she made it her own. There was something more emotional about the performance, like she was expressing a different emotion than Stevie nicks when she sang it. And her guitar skills added alot to it as well. Shes a talented musician.
This is better than whatever the Industry is changing to suit their genres and pushing out here as what's a hit. This is wonderful and sooo passionate. I love this.
the reverb makes it feel more meaningful somehow, as the performers voice echoes through the tunnels, it feels more lost in some way, but the reverberations keep it alive for so much longer
@@kudojay1840 I used to see her quite often at the Washington El in Chicago. She’d practice certain licks over and over and over. She’’s actually quite nice and her voice is honestly too loud and powerful for that station.

This may be some of the best strum patterns I've ever heard. A few interesting chord selections as well. I'm honestly mad this woman isn't a profound rockstar yet.
I love her voice but I'm actually thinking the opposite, there's no dynamic at all to her playing, and the strumming is many times out of rythm. But yeah, that's not the mainfocus here, her singing is absolutely stunning.
Been coming back to this video for years. Not only the best cover of this song I’ve ever heard, but reading through the comments I’m realizing she’s had the same effect on many others. Literally brings you to tears and can’t explain it. She’s special in a way that maybe shouldn’t have an explanation. 33M views at the time of writing this while Fleetwood Mac’s official music video on YT has 81M. Not keeping a score here but it says a lot. Thank you Ashley Stevenson!
Someone a lucky guy. What does this have to do with her talent and maybe she will make someone a lucky girl... Its about the fact she needs to be famous period and this si the kind of music to be heard on radio. Period.
Foggy Brain's you're funny kid. What does that have to do with her talent you ask? Well you want an ordinary chick or you want a Bad ass who can sing like that? Hahahahaha.
Well, since you asked... I like the song, and I can play it myself. It is a delicate song, and I just don't think this variation on it really fits the mood of the song. Innovation can be great, but not always. Maybe she should try playing a Led Zeppelin or a Who song in this frenetic acoustic style, it might work. Not for Landslide, though. Not for me. JMO.
@@gabrieljohnson161 She is probably talking about the lady with earphones in facing the other direction. I mean, why listen to a once in a lifetime performance when you can listen to Katy Perry for the 1000th time
The scenario in which she is performing “Landslide” and the amount of emotion in her voice...it’s an incredible moment to capture. The video itself is art.
I keep coming back to this one over and over again, makes me rain tears every single time. The passion, the pain, the posture culminates into a single breathtaking memorable moment.

Well yeah, kinda. Drugs make it easier to connect emotions to the song. 'She strikes me as somebody who likes to jam when not quite sober (see the picture on her transit card). I mean - a lot of musicians do. I play my guitar so much better when I smoked it's not even funny.
Wow brought me to tears. Endless happiness in a spot with so many people and so many problems
the acoustics are surprisingly pretty good on that subway platform!
Perfect for acoustic...encealed in a concrete space sound just reverbes around perfectly.
@@TyrantOFynder couldn't have put it better myself, spot on buddy 👍
Plus the 12 string guitar makes it sound that much better
That's why u busk in the subway
She def owns this version. Great new take on the song.
she came out of her human body, and went celestial on this guitar!
For real
Yeah.. Her voice is haunting and speaks to my soul..
I've seen this a couple dozen times and it still makes me cry every time. The way the entire subway just stops and watches... it must've been amazing to be there.
same.
Same… I’m walking while I cry ( sob) as I listen…
It's really amazing how much emotion and conviction can be demonstrated and communicated with music!!! She just absolutely created an amazing rendition of this song! Astounding!
Amazing talent better than people in the charts hope she gets her dues👍🙏
This performance never ceases to bring me to tears
her voice echoing through the tunnels, touched my spirit and made me tear up without control
Exact same thing!
Same brother same
As soon as she started singing I got chills, damn

Ok, johnny.... Now you have crossed the line, you racist little pig you!! Another Saturday night being all alone and .and you think it's a good idea to dump your filthy garbage on other peoples lawns? Stop that shit, you miserable coward!!

She is amazing!!! I used to go to that stop just to listen to her. The first time I did I decided not to take my train and just stay longer listening.
Id love to know how she is doing now?? She is amazing XX

Alejandra Blanco, hope you have some money dude Xx
@@Madgeney I was very happy to support her with what I had :)
I come back 2 this video from time to time, each one is like the first time listening to it
I liked how she made it her own. There was something more emotional about the performance, like she was expressing a different emotion than Stevie nicks when she sang it. And her guitar skills added alot to it as well. Shes a talented musician.
i didn't know the song before, anf i cried when i heard this performance. Looked up the original, but it aint got nothing on this rendition.
@@Rem_NL seriously this is a very special piece here, cannot be replicated i contiguously come back to this.
Felt that too 🥺
Yeah, I think Stevie Nicks was dogshit compared to this😂
Very well said….
Easily one of the most unique and beautiful covers I've ever heard. Just wow
You're so right
The industry couldn't touch this. Absolutley Pure💓
Nope. The industry is so busy chasing the "total package", that we never get the musical cream from them.
at all.
They would ruin her.
@blujay1982ify such a paradox isn't it.. life, pain
This is better than whatever the Industry is changing to suit their genres and pushing out here as what's a hit.
This is wonderful and sooo passionate.
I love this.
every once and a while I come back to listen to her
The reverb in the station is just downright perfect, brings a ghostly tone to her voice. Brilliant capture.
ocripcurrent her?!

@@Hussulpt wow...did I even say anything other than her name. You will not go to hell. Pray and accept Jesus Christ's love and you will be saved.
her voice touched me but I can't explain this feeling it's honestly incredible her voice
Its the passion & the pain
I could truly feel her pain.
the reverb makes it feel more meaningful somehow, as the performers voice echoes through the tunnels, it feels more lost in some way, but the reverberations keep it alive for so much longer
Gives me Tracy Chapman vibes
dude that reverb was achieved without any effects. is this an angel?
You just never know...
No its a subway
I think
@@kudojay1840 I used to see her quite often at the Washington El in Chicago. She’d practice certain licks over and over and over. She’’s actually quite nice and her voice is honestly too loud and powerful for that station.

I STILL share this video with people, you can legit hear the emotion, and quite frankly I think it's beautiful
@@kay-collins I'm confused. Why exactly would you listen to this performance over and over?
@@DaveMorrisonMusic lol why did you skip over other comments that said the same thing to ask me? I’ve listened to it a lot because I like it.
I cant stop listening to this. I dont like the original, but this is like one of the best songs ever.❤
Been coming back to this performance for about 3 yrs now and it captivates me each time. Breathtaking 🔥wow

Absolutely no other cover comes close! I've been listening to it for the same time
Rachel Adu-Gyamfi same
What impresses me the most is how clean her chords are. She’s playin a 12 string w a capo, respect!!!
Perceptive.
Must be medium or heavy guage strings ? Great tuning / and staying in tune whilst shredding.
Her strong stacato strumming syncopation with good meter is impressive too.
Cappo respect
Amazing talent reminds me of Ritchie havens
I absolutely love that everyone is silent listening to this. let the artist have the platform without any interruptions
Jeff Boyd except for the ignorant bitch with the headphones in at the end!!
You're an ignorant bitch for thinking someone is ignorant bitch for walking down a walkway to go where she was intending to go....
ChrisChillzz and you are an ignorant bitch for calling me an ignorant for calling her an ignorant when she is an ignorant bitch!!! 😝
Damn I get shivers every time I watch this. And it's been many many times. Especially when the camera turns and everyone is in awe.
Creds for showing her name at the end. too many street artists never found again when their name is not on display
Did the performer, Ashley Stevenson, get a share of the revenue from this video? The link in the description to www.slimfreedom.com wants to install a web browser plugin.
Incredible voice and badass guitarist. Ashley Stevenson is amazing.
This may be some of the best strum patterns I've ever heard. A few interesting chord selections as well. I'm honestly mad this woman isn't a profound rockstar yet.
I just came across this and feel the same way. Between her voice and guitar skills, def deserves stardom more than many popular musicians atm 💫
I hope someone signs her to a label
I was just feeling same way about it.
In my home city😌
I love her voice but I'm actually thinking the opposite, there's no dynamic at all to her playing, and the strumming is many times out of rythm. But yeah, that's not the mainfocus here, her singing is absolutely stunning.
This blows my mind and gives me cold chills every time I come back to it. Thank you Ashley!!!
American Idol anyone?
How can anyone dislike this? She murdered that guitar surprised it's not on fire. 10/10
TheSmilodon85 I agree. She's a cutie plus a beautiful voice. She's gonna make someone a lucky guy!!
Hahahahaha.
Hyperion Prime that's a dumb reason to dislike the video lmao
Well, since you asked... I like the song, and I can play it myself. It is a delicate song, and I just don't think this variation on it really fits the mood of the song. Innovation can be great, but not always. Maybe she should try playing a Led Zeppelin or a Who song in this frenetic acoustic style, it might work. Not for Landslide, though. Not for me. JMO.
I've never understood how people can be in the presence of such an amazing voice singing like THAT and not at least turn around, watch and listen.
Because they have work
I thought the exact same thing myself
@@gabrieljohnson161 She is probably talking about the lady with earphones in facing the other direction.
I mean, why listen to a once in a lifetime performance when you can listen to Katy Perry for the 1000th time
Literally though, the weak weed themselves out when I play this version and they mention they like the Dixie chick's version 🙃
Exactly my thoughts
wow wow wow this song makes me feel life. hits every cell in my body. she is truly a rare gem.
The scenario in which she is performing “Landslide” and the amount of emotion in her voice...it’s an incredible moment to capture. The video itself is art.
To experience a moment like these in person is one of the greatest feelings of humanity
I’ve watched this a million times. So in love with this version. I pray you reach success Ashley Stevenson 🔥

Bro post that shit!!!!! Please! I need To see more of her man, it’s like she’s singing for her soul. Truly Angelic voice...
