Three variations:
1.Straight movement turning back, thrust (like Seitei Iai Hachihonme Ganmenate);
2.Circular movement turning back, draw upward;
3.Quite different, could be a separate Kata
Danzaki Tomoaki Sensei (檀崎 友彰, 1906-2003) was a student of Nakayama Hakudo Sensei (中山 博道) and was the head of Dainippon Iaido Kenshukai Kenshukan (大日本居合道研修会, 研修館). Many schools trace their lineage back to him, including ours.

Starting at 1:35 they are not doing a variant of Yukichigai. They are practicing the kata Ryoshi Hikitsure. One of the kata that Oe Sensei dropped in his reorganization of MJER. A “forgotten” kata. Nice find.
