I’ve always thought Elevator to the Scaffold so UNDERRATED! It’s a milestone in Jazz to me .

Glad you mentioned Wayne Shorter's compositions and how important they were to those 60's recordings.

Two wonderful videos Ken, I would love to see you do one on some of your Mile's live albums.

That Miles album you've got at #8 represents the essence of what jazz is, in my opinion.

Thanks. Miles is definitely in my top 3 musicians of all-time. If I did my top 20, we would share at least 60% congruency. many thanks

Informative, insightful and humorous as ever. Great work. Many of my favourites in there and these days, if you had to twist my arm I'd put Bitches Brew at #1 , simply because it has that 'ugly beauty' that Monk understood so well. Also nice to see your praise for the Ascenseur pour l' échafaud soundtrack. 'Generique' was the first Miles I ever heard and that trumpet intro left me speechless, I just KNEW I was listening to a magician. I feel the same way about Wayne Shorter's contribution too.

Been enjoying the first two parts and your takes on his different periods. I also love where you placed his Prestige records which often get overlooked by everything he did on Columbia. Can't wait to see where the rest is going to land on Part III.

Ken, thanks for the video - a real best of Miles, so to speak. I wish you would talk a bit about the different pressings and which ones to get these days. I will say this - I just got the Impex version of E.S.P. and I love it (33rpm). I see there are many 45rpm reissues promissing even better sound, but I hate getting up to the turntable every 5 minutes...

Inspired me to put on my copy of "Cookin". I forgot how much I dig that LP. 😎🎺👍 Also, couldn't agree more about Shorter. 👽🎷👍
