Noel gives the best interviews. Some stock answers but, as he does here, he's often very thoughtful in answering the questions and expounds quite unguardedly. Plus, he's so sweet and patient. He must be an interviewer's delight.
It makes it all the better when you realise that movies or tours have the cast do about 100 different interviews a day for these things from all the different publications in a dozen different countries. So it's no surprise that by the end of it most celebrities just end up giving the same stock answers to questions they've probably already answered 5000 different ways. Yet Noel still remains quite genuine and patient here.
I like interviews like this. Where the person you want to hear is actually heard, able to elaborate and be themselves. Given the space and time they need for spontaneous thought. It's good to have an interviewer who just directs and let's it all flow
Noel is very salient about the difference between doing something as a fun hobby and doing something for a living. In truth, painting to a schedule for money would be just as stressful as making people laugh on a schedule. I discovered this from trying to make my own hobbies into businesses - frightening stuff.
I would love to spend the day with him.... just because of his personality. I love his voice and he’s real.... nothing fake about Noel....... and yes of course because he glittery gorgeous!
I used to have the biggest crush on Noel but I had almost forgotten all about him until I saw this video. What a shock to be reminded of how very beautiful he is and how sweet and his voice...oh, dear. I'm pretty sure the interviewer fell in love during this 10 minutes, as well.
The interviewer was very nice to Noel, letting him talk, but the interview feels like it's missing a sort of back and forth thing... Missing some banter but an interesting interview nonetheless.
i asked him to do it to get a different interview, then when he started doing it he was having trouble concentrating and answering questions so i began to brick it haha.
It was a good idea regardless man, it may have been brutal for you but we got a more candid look at Noel. Could have just been another vanilla interview like the rest of them filmed that day.

I don’t enjoy being negative about a person singularly but I need to ask if it’s just me, I can’t believe it is but scanned quickly through the comments didn’t read anything But that was painful to listen to who hired that man for this job that he for sure sounded like he didn’t even want it or anything like it where involved is chatting to an artist/comedian big energy type man like Noel for example and he didn’t seem able to even at least fake some confidence in what he was speaking and asking or sound maybe interested to some level or know the show he was came across as totally uninterested about So wooden. So dull. So painful to listen to that half way through I had to get to the screen to pause and process and then that face was not what I was expecting didn’t make any difference though anyway as I had to get this comment out in an effort to self soothe my second hand cringe. I sound dramatic but right now it’s justified it is that deep for me and I’ll even go as far as to say truthfully my soul has been hurt but this has helped 💯I know I’ll get over it and heal 😢😅 the end ❤
This is a bit harsh. It was my first ever interview. Room full of people in a tiny room watching your every move and making sure you ask the questions they want. you have 10 minutes and no more. It's quite nerve wrecking actually. I wasn't working for anyone, I did it for myself. I wasn't hired. I did it because I love comedians and I love Noel.

He's so genuine. That's what I love. He's just having a conversation. I'd let him draw me.

cheers. that was the aim. wanted to delve deeper into the dreams aspect of it, but only had 10 mins then I was given the boot
The interviewer started blushing!! Can't blame him..I would be BRIGHT red having Noel sketch me. He is so inspirational and creative and funny

Also the stuff about the apocalypse is really really interesting, the pink moon falling and all that. Majora's Mask plus Alternia.
we all are lin love with Noel Fielding xD
Mm hmn..?
What Noel Fielding says to me every single night in my dreams @ 3:24 ;) ;)
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
I literally just snorted
Noel is such a sweetheart :)
The interviewer is blushing as uncontrollably as I would be if Noel was studying my face like that 😉😘 I feel very comforted by this 🙂
I would be gay for Noel Fielding, the man is a genius, a beautiful genius. Most unique TV icon.
Such a charming guy Noel, saw this tour, absolutely fantastic, such a unique sense of humour, Noel is one of the last remaining original comedians!
I think, Noel is the most sane person. He's able to talk, be warm and friendly and draw all at the same time. HE'S ALSO SO HANDSOME, I love his eyes.
Loved this interview. I kinda wish he was like that all the time because you can tell he's actually a lovely man.
Does he say "Bless his cotton socks though"??? HAHAHAHA
its said a lot in the UK :)
I would love to spend the day with him.... just because of his personality. I love his voice and he’s real.... nothing fake about Noel....... and yes of course because he glittery gorgeous!
Noel is a truly visual artist, how he keeps checking, looking, at the guy while he draws him
No shit
"If we had slept together I could have nailed that [the portrait]", haha.
Yupp I'm in love with Noel 😍
same!!!!
Yup
That drawing was actually super spot on lol
ngl I was half expecting him to draw something really random instead of the guy lol
+BlackParade727 that was the plan. i was expecting him to do something really crazy, but i think he takes his art seriously!
God he's good. So effortlessly excellent.
Good interview.
Love Noels paintings especially ,bubble gum cats! His paintings echo his soul.
I'd let him draw me like one of his French girls lol
i suggested that but we had to reach a compromise.
He drew his rosey cheeks that’s so cute!! He nailed the likeness. I love Noel!!
sometimes i search for noel fielding videos and have him on play just to have his voice in my house..
I love his voice & his laugh 😍
Such a funny guy, good portrait.
Great way to spark interest in your interview. Also in this case it really relaxed him. Great work!
cheers! the next person to interview him completely stole the idea though and got him to draw something else.

Noel Is Such A Sweetie...I Don't Think He Could Be More Personable
I went to the Evening tour, and it was great
I'd let Noel do more than just draw me *sigh*
Noel, looked at him like, really? You want me to draw you? For free? What an ass. Lol
he's wearing Drop Dead
I know this comment is a year old, but I'm so glad someone else noticed that, too.
Ah, same here!
He always is these days
I would've been completely flustered. tomato red. imagine being drawn by anybody. lmao.
regretted it as soon as pencil was put onto paper.
Noel took a press junket and made it fun. That's a world class skill.
it was my idea!
The interviewer was very nice to Noel, letting him talk, but the interview feels like it's missing a sort of back and forth thing... Missing some banter but an interesting interview nonetheless.
Is nobody commenting on the fact that he wears a nice casual sweater, featuring satanic crosses?
But if it weren’t for those, all we would have is a floating head 😜
Such a beautiful man
IKR
the drawning is amazing
Interviewer gets more and more flushed with each minute lol. By the end he looks so uncomfortable.
I was a lot more nervous about the 10 people all staring, in such a tiny room watching the clock to the second.
Can't blame you bro, I thought it would be because Noel was examining your face for 10 minutes haha. Entertaining interview :)
i asked him to do it to get a different interview, then when he started doing it he was having trouble concentrating and answering questions so i began to brick it haha.

Noel Fielding ASMR lol
is it abnormal that i have no idea in my mind of what exactly my face even looks like?
Yeah but it's fine
Okay:)
id kill for him to draw me
I wonder , does Noel know his zip up has the leviathan cross
he knew...
Speech bubble
*I am wearing a poppy*
🤣
Those two would look quite good wearing regency outfits.
Can anyone tell me what the symbol on his sweater is?
Someone said they were Satanic crosses 🤣
@@onesunnyday5699 Frank Iero uses like a version of this as his brand symbol. I'm trying to find a thorough explanation of it.
It’s the Leviathan Cross
Yeah, Noel’s sweater in this features satanic crosses. Frank’s symbol is one he made up but it definitely bears a resemblance!

"Basically blackmail"
Господи мы реально с одной планеты
is that guy having an allergic reaction?
Probably rosacia
When asked about his funny friends, how does he NOT name drop Russell Brand???
But Russell’s a comedian
Noel wearing dropdead lol
Now take away Noel's pen and paper, this looks fucking weird

I love Noel Fielding but this is a bit boring. It's too long.
you get what you're given!
Had a crush on slash been obsessed with this man for 10 years - he is an incredible butterfly boy! ❤️
he's wearing Drop Dead
