Seems like there are a lot of negative comments about Yeti, mainly due to the price. I get it, it's expensive but once you ride a Yeti you will understand why people buy them there are a tons of bikes that can smash DH or climb really well but there are very few bikes that can do both. I've owned and ridden lots of bikes and if I have to choose my favorite bike of all time it would be my Yeti SB165
@southpawlibra nine 🤦 where do I even begin with that's comment 🤣 first of all the best bike for you is the best bike you can afford and the best bike for the type of trails you ride. Yes Yeti's are built for racing but that has nothing to do with how "harsh" a suspension is. You set your suspension to your riding. You can go air or coil. You can keep it stock or upgrade. My Yeti is butter smooth so not sure what you're talking about
@@TommyHuynh youre the one that made a stupid comment saying yetis are the only bikes that can do both downhill. Which is stupid. Ive owned a sb6, and a sb150 and they arent anything special compared to other bikes. Youre just a yeti fanboy. Do you call yourself part of the tribe. Cringe asf
Yetis are known for being very aggressive bikes that benefit a racing style, so the criticism is normally focused around the fact that they just aren’t great, easy riding bikes compared to Pivot, Ibis, Revel etc they are no more expensive that any other higher end bike. They are popular here in CO however, their HQ is maybe 10 miles away.
I demo'd Yeti for the first time this year and there was definitely an AHAH moment when I realized this bike is super composed, comfortable and way more capable than me. The harder I pushed, the more it wanted to CHARGE! Downsizing helped make it feel more manageable but it's still a big bike! Maybe not as poppy and playful as I'm used to but hey, it's not a trail bike, it's meant to SLAY!
Groovy review as always. In regards to AXS chain slap noise once you get the B tension screw in the right place use a little loctite to keep it there. I’ve found that helps keep it pretty quiet.
I have tested both. Sb160 wins hands down. The geo is great on both, but the SB160 climbs better and feels more plush on the descent. The firebird was a bit harsh for a 160mm bike, feels like the frame is too stiff.
The Yeti feels a lot more planted on the climb and descent. I ride a firebird as my main bike now and I really love the agility and the way it pumps. These two bikes are a world of difference apart. The Firebird ramps up quick on the rear leverage curve giving way more feedback and ramp up than the Yeti. The Yeti is longer softer and way more ground hugging. I do like the seated postion on the Yeti more than the firebird while climbing and the Yeti would easily win in a steep climb situation. Both bikes have fantastic pedaling kinematics.
Switch infinity is amazing. Think about it no other bikes have anything similar. It's my bikes Fox kashima coated nuts gloriously hanging in the open for everyone to envy. Along with my enve shit and axs and Chris King lol.
Perfect dream bike for my sky island backyard . Great bike handling but, bro you’re downshifts sounds like dropping a soup can full of bolts. Subscribed ! Zoomiez😝
I ride a Yeti SB165 converted to mullet. 160mm fork, 29r up front with 165mm X2 coil shock and 27.5 rear wheel. Such a ripper of a bike. Huge Yeti fan over here and I'm stoked yall reviewed one!
Perhaps you changed the microphone, but compared to the rocky mountain altitude and some other bikes, it sounds like there's an awful lot of rattling going on.
great review! if you could get your hands on a Santa Cruz Blur TR (in seafoam green), you'd make my day. very interested in hearing your feedback on said bike. Thanks!
YO mind telling me what you think about it? The pros/cons, how it pedals compared to anything else etc. The 152 has been on my radar/bucketlist but I've been struggling to find any content or reviews on the 170 or 130
They really need to upgrade the drive train, chain stay, and encase all the components to protect it like some other bike companies are starting to do.
It’s literally a Specialized enduro with the infinity rear suspension. Hopped on a large and was shocked at how much it felt like my 2022 enduro ltd. Looked up geo. Its a dead rip off. Lol
@@MillerRL96 sales will be tough. So many enduro bikes are just as capable racers but seemingly check that "fun" box. Yeti pricing doesn't help either.
@@ehvoslef I planned on getting a Yeti when the SB120 came out but then they went crazy with their pricing. It doesn’t even make sense. You can get a Allied which is carbon made in Arkansas and Yeti charges more for frame made in Asia. I’ll just keep my Evil which is so far from a race bike feeling haha.
I own SB150 and I'm pretty happy with this bike :)
SB140 is their more jibby/poppy bike I think. That’s the review I’m waiting for on this channel, feel like it’d put a bigger smile on his face.
Probably as always it depends on your sus setup :):) and the way of riding :)
Jibby is the stupidest word
yeti sb160 v specialized enduro?? which bike is better and how do these compare to a trek slash or a santa cruz nomad or megatower?

Lol you wish bro. Yetis arent any better than most bikes on the market. And the suspension is harsh cause its made for racing.

Please review a DREADNOUGHT! I feel lots of people want your take on that one!
Glad you finally got your hands on a yeti
Best bike reviews IMO keep it coming. Sb 160 Vs Firebird please!
hell yes

The reason why is both have similar geos and both climb really good apparently. Will be great to hear the comparison.

Yes! How would you compare/rate this against the Firebird? And which would you choose for aggressive all sound riding?
Your max speed has to be bonkers, love your videos. The way you shoot and the camera angle is just amazing to watch.
It would be nice to see reviews for Propain Spindrift and Santa cruz nomad v6.
Absolutely railing the corners holy shit

I couldn't close my eyes the whole descend!
Best bike reviews out there! Keep up the good work. Looking forward to such review on Megatower V2
That's how I felt with yeti, I always felt like I was too high up not in the bike
So awesome you got this bike. Great review

Cool review, would love to know your Gopro settings

It wasnt even made for mullet. What makes you think you know more than the bikes designers. At that point you may as well buy a dedicated mullet bike

How is the SB160 compared to the Firebird ?
Great review, but you still haven't reviewed an Ibis Ripmo. I need to get back over to the Chuckanut's.
Any chance you could review the new SB165?🙏🏼
YT Capra MX soon?
Any plans to review the yeti sb140?
Missing the PNW hero dirt big time right now. Nothing but rocks and dust here
I’d love to know how long of a climb that was and where is this trail!!! Looks so sick!
This review echoes a lot of others. Sounds like an amazing rig. What trail is that at 10:05?
What grade of steel is used in the frame Is it Hi Tensile
How does it compare to the specialized enduro?
I've got the enduro and thinking of buying sb150/160.
What trail/trail system is this!?
Also, great review. I wish I could ride like that, let alone while holding a casual conversation....
There is only 1 but the trail name indicates 2
Should I upgrade from my 2015 yeti sb5c got this ?
….I’ve the same fantastic bike of the video and I climb so as my old sb130LR
160 vs spire vs firebird vs slash?
you gunna do a canyon strive review?
What size frame are you riding?

Best reviews on the internet. Only thing that could make them better is a slomo huck to flat.
That seems like a pretty noisy bike, to me...
Great review, as always
Thought the same
Same. It seems like a ripper but man if I paid the insane prices they charged and the bike sounded like that I’d be disappointed for sure
The AXS stuff is super loud on every bike.
He’s running the old AXS. The new SRAM transmission is much much quieter
You litterally FLY over things! ok, so that's my next bike for sure
Yeti bikes feel a little harsh off the top. The Spesh Enduro feels way better, bottomless and climbs like crazy.
Never liked how Yetis turn, definitely not playful. Great point
Wow, it seemed like you weren't losing any speed at all at any points
More travel than I need but nice bike.

for an expensive bike, its awfully loud

I dunno these new Yetis don't seem that fun. Maybe fun for front range dentists.
