Thanks for uploading! I went to this and brought with me a friend who didn't know about Jack Ladder. They totally loved it. Seeing and hearing it live, the music floods over you. It was brilliant! ✨
It was indeed a brilliant night. It's a crime Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders aren't better known. Great to know you're educating people. I too brought someone who hadn't seen them live before. They loved his voice. Thanks for commenting.
I too discovered Jack quite by chance and disappeared down his rabbit hole. That was a couple of years ago now. I've had the pleasure of seeing him live three times since, each time very different but always a wonderful experience. Yes, I watched his performance with Sarah Blasko who I also like very much. He'll be at her second Factory Theatre show in Sydney this Sunday. I'm not sure if as support or if they will be doing the duo together. Sadly, I won't be there. If you like this performance of Jack, you'll probably also like an earlier show I videoed. Some of the songs are the same but 'The Dreamlanders' are a different band, creating a significantly different live sound. th-cam.com/video/DIGw4HCrDrI/w-d-xo.html Hope you continue to enjoy Jack. He definitely deserves more recognition. Thanks for commenting.
My god, I've dreamed of being able to stand where you stood that night. Also I thought this was a pro shot concert recording until I realised it was one man, hats off on a great video (and great quality sound!).
It was a terrific night. Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders definitely deserve much greater recognition. Jack (Tim) is off touring Europe soon but it will be a solo tour. Well worth seeing but not quite this fabulous. And thanks very much for your kind words. I'm quite happy with how this turned out. Only wish I could have caught more of the guitars being played but heads were always in the way.
@@Peter_LiveMusic I have notifications on for when tickets go live for his London show, and I've set a series of alarms and calendar notifications. Back in 2019 I had been pretty into Jimmy Barnes, who in turn led me to seeing Kirin's "Big Enough" music video, which helped me discover Alex Cameron, who I went to see in Southampton in the UK in September 2019, and this tall, louche looking, chocolate-voiced singer was the opening act - first time I discovered Jack Ladder. Then found out the Dreamlanders were composed of Australian independent music royalty, and discovered Donny Benet, who I got to see in London a few years back, who I'm seeing on March 14th in London... 2 months and a day before I get to see Jack again! *BREATHES* What were you shooting on for this? Did you use an onboard mic or an external? Turned out great!
@@SmokeJaguar101 A true fan!! I must admit I don't know as much about the other members of the band and I really do need to explore their other music. I use a small Sony point and shoot. It gives me quality video and stills while being small enough to hide in my pocket (to get it into live music events). The sound quality from the camera isn't great, especially when things get loud, so I use a small Zoom external recorder to supplement the camera's sound. Enjoy Donny and Tim. I know you will. Oh, and you might be interested in my earlier recording (if you haven't already seen it). Not the original Dreamlanders but still a great band: th-cam.com/video/DIGw4HCrDrI/w-d-xo.html
What a fucking show!!! Hands down the best. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE JACK LADDER AND DREAMLANDERS THE KIRRIN J AND ALEX CAMERON IN ONE SHOW WITH CONNAN MOCKASIN POPPIN IN

This is fantastic. I had never heard of Jack Ladder, but I just watched him sing a duet with Sarah Blasko, what a voice. Down a rabbit hole I go :)

One of Australia's most Amazing Voices I've ever heard.
Compared by many to
Nick Cave. I'm 60 and adore
them both. It's imho a very fair
Comparison...
Enjoy the Rabbit hole it's Awesome.. A truly under discovered Australian Treasure 🏆🥇🪙
@@terrifiedtomatosauce1964 Yes, a great voice which needs more recognition.

Yes, a great night. Looking forward to seeing what Tim does next.

The Cure meets Bruce Springsteen. No problem with that.
Definitely not. But he's more often compared to Nick Cave - it's his voice.
