I am 71 and you reach a point in life where you re-appraise things, in a way that
happened to Solstice I did like them but always went back to the Magenta and
Karnataka’s without going back to listen to Solstice material and now think what did I
miss out on, thanks to Barry on The Classic Album youtube channel. They are superb,
the vocal harmony is brilliant, the playing by all the band is superb. The lyrics are
great and the music is not one dimensional, their tracks have so much light and shade.
Now to buy their back material. So delighted I found them (again).

I knew Solstice back in the late 80s, both personally - and musically. This most recent incarnation is something special. Musically, they were always fabulous - but now visually too, it's all coming together. Outfront - Jess and the other two vocalists (Gwen and Ebony) always look like they're having the time of their lives. This really adds to the whole on-stage vibe. It's an intoxicating mix. Just add a great rhythm section, some really fine keyboard moments, heavenly violin and of course.....Andy's stand out guitar solos - and there you have it ....SOLSTICE. A REAL band and a great live experience - Do go check em out if you haven't so far. Better than 95% of the bands you see at Glastonbury. Looking forward to seeing them tonight at The 100 Club and later in the summer.

I hadn't heard Solstice until this year at Winter's End in Chepstow. Completely blew me away, especially A New Day - what an epic! Incredible energy on stage, an absolute joy to watch. Really nice to say hi to you Andy, hope to see the band again real soon.

Just a few songs into this full viewing. Loving it. Everyone in the band must be thrilled and very proud. Fantastic concert, I watch it again and again. The energy and joy are crushing the screen, all musicians are excellent, and Jess is an amazing frontwoman. But everytime I watch the concert, I'm always afraid for Gwen, as her left foot is so often close to the edge. I'm soooo glad at the end of the day she didn't fall off the stage 😋
Ha!! Me too 😁 Gwen is the loveliest of humans and a great singer! I work with her twice weekly teaching at a rock school for youngsters and she’s also a fantastic vocal coach. Blessed to be working with musicians like these.
Landed here after the great gig of yesterday at De Boerderij, seems to have been another amazing show! Keep up the good work guys! (Only pity Jess cut her hair since ☺)
Thanks for supporting the show! Don’t worry, her hair will grow back 😁 She did the same in 2021 to raise money for charity and donate her hair for cancer patient wigs 😍

Amazing performance! After disconnecting a bit from prog (never totally, but enough to lose track on some bands...), I discovered that Solstice was still existing! Not only the band still exist, but they are at the top of their game. Very pleasant surprise for me, and I'm actually waiting for my Sia and Light Up cds 😃
Thank you Stephan. To be honest we’d fallen off most people’s radar before making Sia. Since Jess Holland joined the band and we released that record things have started to change which is incredibly exciting. Thanks for ordering the albums! 🙏
Absolutely incredible, the singing and the playing is top notch. I have never seen a band with so much energy and a band that actually look like they are enjoying themselves. The lineup is perfect. Don't change it....

You’re spot on Chris… very slowly but surely. Only a few have dropped out along the way but we keep them there because they helped while they could. Amazing stuff and we simply wouldn’t be where we are without our Guardians. 🙏
