Really late but yeah he is underweight and considering Kokichi once says that "I killed my parents, but that's a lie, I only killed my older brother!" which sounds to me like his parents aren't around anymore and dice, his closest thing to a family, are also heavily implied to be orphans. To me that sounds like their situation for a long time was probably living on the streets (or maybe at some point in some crap orphanage) where they probably had a really hard time getting food or it was at least often an uncertainty. So Kokichi being disgusted by fasting really makes sense to me if you think about it in a way that being without food and starving probably evokes some really unpleasant and traumatic memories of the past for him. He knew what it was like to be without food and he doesn't want to experience that again. Sorry this was long and kinda dramatic theorisation, but that's what I've personally thought this rare clear disgust toward something from Kokichi was, since he usually doesn't show his feelings and emotions like this unless it's something he very strongly believes in.

To me that sounds like their situation for a long time was probably living on the streets (or maybe at some point in some crap orphanage) where they probably had a really hard time getting food or it was at least often an uncertainty. So Kokichi being disgusted by fasting really makes sense to me if you think about it in a way that being without food and starving probably evokes some really unpleasant and traumatic memories of the past for him. He knew what it was like to be without food and he doesn't want to experience that again.
Sorry this was long and kinda dramatic theorisation, but that's what I've personally thought this rare clear disgust toward something from Kokichi was, since he usually doesn't show his feelings and emotions like this unless it's something he very strongly believes in.
