At least in the Xenoblade Chronicles games they have it as an established part of their worlds that falling in deep enough water is always safe. You even have NPCs talking about it.
As someone else said, the water logic, but also maybe Shulk was saved by Meyneth in the same way Meyneth saved the party from Gadolt's blast.

My personal favourite plot twist was when they turned all of the ponspectors into a straight buffet of nopon burgers for the gang to finally enjoy. Best ending ever, very wholesome

@@christigas8609 Riki in Japanese just sounds like a kid. Personally, I prefer the English voice because it gives Riki more of an adult pitch to his voice. A 40 year old Nopon, no matter how childish, should sound like an adult Nopon. It would be weird imo to have an older Nopon not speak with an older pitch in their voice.
Although it is alright if you prefer the Japanese voice, I just prefer the English voice.

The tyrea bit makes more sense if you did her sidequest in the main game. That's where you learn that she's the former queen's daughter and she's half blood (even thought she was the leader of the inquisition)

the new battle theme was also nice for the added feeling of relaxation
Really needed something to calm me down after the hectic ending of the main story
Also, I love slice of lifes, and I really enjoyed the dynamics with the science boi shulk, the motherly Melia, the sisterly NE NE and
just a child kino.
That's precisely why I like Future Connected so much. It's so relaxed and doesn't try to become more intense than the main story. It makes for a nice extra 15 hours spent with the characters.
I feel like the title future connected involves connecting the two games in xenoblade 3

Really ram. The painful melia cutscene. This part of the cutscene of shulk running with fiora pass fiora is so useless except to make you feel bad looking at it. Also Melia is the best girl in this game but shulkXfiora is canon and wouldn't have it any other way. Best girl doesn't need to finish with the protagonist to be a best girl.
Shadow GX6 FINAL SOMEONE SAID IT! I always hated when ever I say someone is “best girl”, everyone things I ship them with the protagonist.
While it would be nice if she had ended up with Shulk, Melia is still by far best girl. I prefer Melia to Fiora any day, any time.

Don't worry about Monolith Soft not being allowed to make what they want. They expanded massively since 2017, have multiple studios now, and recently confirmed that going forward their main team is focused on Xenoblade as a franchise. There is also a new IP they're supposed to be working on, but I wouldn't be shocked if it _somehow_ gets rebranded a Xenoblade.
I guess being owned by Nintendo is both a blessing and a curse. At least they're being treated better than when they were owned by Namco.
@@oneish7454 much. They have over 200 employees now and multiple branch offices. They were tiny under Namco. They're Nintendo's biggest developer outside of Nintendo EPD themselves.

I am still confused whether or not xenosaga is connected to the xenoblade chronicles. I mean kos mos and some xenosaga characters are in xenoblade 2.

Xenogears, has one of the best story telling in the entire Xeno series, just finished playing it today. I hope, Square can give the rights back to Monolith Soft to use a Xeno game with it or even remake it cause it's in desperate need of it

@@Deepseashark Most Nintendo IPs don't sell over 3 million copies. The only ones that sell huge amounts are Mario and his spinoffs, the Zelda series, the Pokemon series, Animal Crossing, and just recently Splatoon. So 2 million is a good number for a smaller IP.

Yeah with future connected, some of Melias lines are extra stiff right at the start, like Jenna was kinda warming up into the role again, after a few cut scenes she's much better ='D
The best part is the epilogue is how much they hammer home how good of a guy Riki is.

Shulk never had any feeling towards Melia though. It was one sided. Therefore can't say it's a war. Usually the guy loves both/all to be consider a war. Here Melia has feelings for shulk but he doesn't. Shulk only sees her as a friend. Nothing more.
Pretty much in all the JRPGs that I‘ve seen where there’s a childhood friend to the Protagonist, she almost always wins.

To be fair Kino and Nene are probably the best Nopon playable characters yet, at least they're not just one-note jokes like Tatsu and Tora and their voices are far less grating than Riki's; with a little bit more time they could have developed some nice bonds with Melia and Shulk, I like the hints at Nene looking up to Melia and Kino at Shulk, and I actually love their sibling dynamic, they act like real kids and not some weird pervert like Tora.

Glad you finally covered one of my favorite games of all time. I thought for sure you'd have enough material to get 3 episodes out of it all, but oh well.
It's unfortunate you did the series in reverse so a lot of big moments in XC1 lost their impact or were spoiled. The game has several of the best plot twists of any game I've ever played. Not just one. Several. The silver lining would've been hearing your reaction to the post-Zanza reveal about the origins of their world, even if it was just, "Oh! THAT's where the 'we use our power to fell a god' random dialogue comes from!" but you...didn't really go into anything like that.
Glad you loved the music, it's one of the best OSTs. You should check out the original Engage the Enemy if you haven't. They sadly ruined it in the remaster and the original isn't available even when you choose to use the original music in the game.
