    Thanks for the shout out! Some interesting facts i got that i didn’t catch on your video. 1 million square feet, all with air conditioning for the 900+ employees. Never going into a factory that is hot and humid again! The coolest thing was production with a less than 1% warranty repair in a 5 year span! Ive had one echo product in the last 20 years that needed warranty, echo and Steve made sure it was right and done fast. Great company doing great things.

      I sure appreciate you filling this in for us all friend! There was some stuff I just didn't catch and didn't exactly remember so I decided to omit the information. The working conditions looked absolutely fantastic and it was really cool seeing everyone in their stations and how much movement they had. I noticed that no one just stood in one place and worked. They all had an area/space to work in and was super organized and impressive! That is super cool to hear about your success, especially since you are using em in business!

    About 28 years ago, when I was 10, my dad bought an Echo brushcutter, an SRM-2110 to clear out our property. I've been using it as a trimmer for 4 acres year by year. Going on 30 years later it starts in 2 pulls. We got an echo pb-261L blower in 2001. 1-2 pulls, starts every time. I have a 750 EVL chainsaw from 1980 that was used professionally logging Redwoods in northern California. As far as I know it has never been cracked open, and If i put gas in it today and manage to pull the dang thing, I guarantee it will start as sure as the sun will come up tomorrow. I've never had a part fail with proper maintenance. I have 10 Echo tools and I will keep buying them.

    • @oakiewoodsman
      @oakiewoodsman  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you @bottwaandcalover! That is super cool to hear from someone with all those years of experience! The 750 EVL was never too much of an interest of mine but after this tour, I find myself suddenly quite interested as I now know that they run smoothly due to the twin cylinder setup. I actually never knew they were used in production falling in CA. What length bar was in use in this process? Do you have any of the newer saws?

    • @bottwaandcalover
      @bottwaandcalover 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@oakiewoodsman I bought this 750 EVL off of a retired logger turned tree service professional when the lumber mills started to close in Nor-Cal. He had his equipped with a 36 inch bar, Which I'm currently using, and it will pull the whole thing buried in Redwood with ease. The 750 is actually a single cylinder saw, 78.6cc and very torquey. I believe the twin cylinder Echo model was the 610 EVL, or Evil Twin, which I would love to get someday. I do have two mostly modern Echo saws, a CS-450, and a recently acquired CS-620 that I am super happy with. I really appreciate the simplicity and industrial, no-nonsense experience with Echo tools. No compensating carbs or computer control. Just give me a flathead screwdriver and my high and low screws and I will heat my house every winter.

    I really like the warranty ECHO has. I get the unique experience of being the consumer and the technician, salesperson, partsperson, service writer, etc.
    Echo will take care of anything they did wrong, seldom have any warranties to file other than ignition coils and carb adjustments. The equipment is top notch and their cylinder quality is the best in the industry.

      @@oakiewoodsman my 8010 was always a bear to start and was a 3-5 minute process. They ended up looking at it and rebuilding the carb under warranty. It continued and I brought it back out of warranty for them to look at it again. Echo had an issue with it sucking air apparently but it was never a recall. They ended up replacing the block, carb, fuel lines, and spark plug. Echo covered parts I had to pay for labor. 6 months later my carb needed to be rebuilt again which again was they paid for parts but I did labor. Then my 9010 the tube kept blowing off which was fixed under warranty. The blowers work amazing but I haven’t been overly impressed with reliability when I only use them for fall cleanups. I was impressed with echos warranty though and my dealer working things out. My 225’s, 2620’s, and saws have all been great though.
