I'm stunned that they put the Supra over the r34, the Veronica didn't make the list, they put the M1 over the cobra and stingray. The firebird over an e-type jag. The f40 didn't even make top 5. I don't think a single car guy was consulted on this list
It was disappointing not seeing a blue Subaru with yellow stickers powersliding covered in dirt on this list, I'm not even a big fan of japanese cars but missed them here
@@mikescorral2998 I had a '78 TA. It was the last year to have the Pontiac 400 cubic inch engine. In '79, that engine was only the anniversary edition. Made the BIG mistake of ordering it with the automatic transmission, instead of the manual four speed.
He said it had lots of power🤣. It was a fuel crisis era and an bb v8 produced a laughable 150- something horsepowers whilst european 2 litres were already doing 200

Strike three was omitting the Porsche 959, the Nissan GT-R, Buick Grand National GNX, Acura NSX, Bugatti EB110, and a '92 Nissan Sentra XE 4 door with a cassette player and roll-up windows (my first car).

This list is quite clearly written by someone who doesn’t have a marked passion for cars. Many of the selections for the list are chosen for reasons that likely do not align with car fans priorities for instance the Delorian just doesn’t strike up the emotions that many car fans seek. This is simply my opinion of course.

As a fan of OutRun (Sega's video game franchise), I've always wanted to own a Ferrari. It's so hard to settle on a model though. The Testarossa, F40, 288 GTO, and the Enzo are all very tempting.
There are some truly breathtaking cars on this list. I am surprised that the Dodge Challenger, Charger or Viper didn’t make the list. Or the Lotus Esprit. And i am not an American suggesting American cars (I’m Australian. And I know the Esprit is English).
I can see the Ferrari ezio and f150 being on this list. When it comes to it, the v12 is one of the reasons those two are my favorite models of Ferrari .
The Countach is so unique looking, that Hasbro, and Takara have used this car as the car mode for their Diaclone, and Transformers toy lines, as well. The Autobot characters Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, and Red Alert from G1 use the Countach as their alt mode, along with the G1Stunticon Breakdown. Other Transformer characters who have this car as their alt mode are Autobot Prowl from Transformers Robots In Disguise (2001), and the Diaclone Lambos: Tigertrack, Deepcover, and Clampdown.
Considering they showed the world that hybrid powertrains could be more than just a "gas saver" like the Prius, I feel like one of or all of the holy trinity of hyper cars should have been on this list...

As both a gearhead and a Transformers fan, my favorite car on this list has to be the Lamborghini Countach. Why? Because the Autobot characters Sideswipe and Sunstreaker had that particular car as their vehicle modes, so anytime I lay my eyes on a Countach, I jokingly check for any sign of the Autobot symbol. In fact, I was lucky enough to see a completely restored one at this year's Car Week in Monterey, the only downside being that it was painted white rather than red or yellow.
My legendary dream cars: Nissan Skyline R34 GTR and a Lamborghini Murcielago SV also BMW M3 E46, as well as a 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 last but not least a BMW M5 F90.
The Ferrari F40 has always been (and tbh still is) my dream car since the first time I ever saw it when I was a child….and since at that age I couldn’t really care less about car brands, I wanted it in black like KITT - so I was beyond bummed when later on I discovered black hadn’t been among the available color options for the F40. 💗🤣

It's not possible for a company that makes only high end cars to beat the high end cars of a company that sells a lot of commoner cars. The high end only, hand assembled one at a time, companies are poor on paper. The mass production assembly line companies are richer than some countries. The mass production corporate companies can always make better cars than the independent grease monkey companies, because the corporate companies have more money to spend on development. THAT's how Ford beat Ferrari.
The McLaren F1 is the greatest pure drivers car that has ever been made. And it is almost certainly the greatest pure drivers car that will ever BE made (simply because you couldn't make a car like that in 2024 that still meets modern standards for fuel efficiency, emissions, safety etc etc etc)
If we're talking super cars, I think a legend in their in right is the Koenigsegg. Which at times has gone head to head against Bugatti as fastest cars today.
When I was a 20 something (more years ago than I care to remember), I had a 64 GTO with a lift kit. Unfortunately, I blew the transmission. What I would do to have her back.

Last I checked, the McLaren F1 still holds the speed record for naturally aspirated engines - i.e. no turbos or superchargers involved at all.

The Ferrari F40 has always been (and tbh still is) my dream car since the first time I ever saw it when I was a child….and since at that age I couldn’t really care less about car brands, I wanted it in black like KITT - so I was beyond bummed when later on I discovered black hadn’t been among the available color options for the F40. 💗🤣

It's not possible for a company that makes only high end cars to beat the high end cars of a company that sells a lot of commoner cars. The high end only, hand assembled one at a time, companies are poor on paper. The mass production assembly line companies are richer than some countries. The mass production corporate companies can always make better cars than the independent grease monkey companies, because the corporate companies have more money to spend on development. THAT's how Ford beat Ferrari.
