Difficult to do when your OC is directly from that "Brian Kelly methodology" As an ND fan (and a son of ND Alumni) I wish nothing but the best for Freeman though I found it extremely unusual that Tommy Rees (the OC) was hired before Freeman, the HC. I mean how often does that happen in college or the NFL? Usually the HC is hired, then he is allowed to choose his staff.
He was 0-3, should've been 0-4 if not for the ref's stepping in and throwing a flag which has never (even to this day) been explained, and at the time I'm writing this he still has a losing record as Notre Dame's head coach. But yes, he does seem very professional. Good on him.
