Thank goodness for Elite Mighty Alabama who just had the most dominant dynasty in the entire history of college football. ND still plays in a bland boring looking stadium.
I am a lifetime ohio state fan and i love notre dames tradition its awesome much like ohio state if i had a second favorite team it would be notre dame. I think the movie rudy made me like notre dame aloso notre dame belongs in the big ten think about big 10 football is all tradition schools respect from BUCKEYE NATION!!!!!🍀
I bleed for ND football, but it goes much deeper than that. When ND invited my grandfather to teach in 1948, it paved the way for my mother's entire family to emigrate to this country. They fled Lithuania in 1944, ahead of the advancing Soviet Army, and spent 4 1/2 years in a German refugee camp in Kempten, where my parents were married. The State Department got word of the many professors and scientists who had been displaced by the war, and began to offer jobs to them, lest they were sent back to their native lands against their will (this didn't happen in the American Zone; Ike made a promise that my parents never forgot). Needless to say, our family will be forever grateful to Notre Dame. And yes, I am Catholic.

I would love to go there one day. Hurricane Matthew came here and the storm was too bad for me to be able to see them when the Irish came to Raleigh to play NC State. I will in the stands in Kenan Stadium this year when they come play North Carolina on October 7th.

Fr. Badin who was given the job of missionary to the Pottawatomi in southeast Michigan bought the land for what would later become the university. At the start of the university and shortly before there were several young missionary priests who worked in the area and then were buried in the log chapel. The ideal was to form young men to be learned Catholic gentlemen who would then influence society in a positive direction.

I loved Bettis fromer player and Joe Montane went there) that Jon Paxton went there fromer Bulls player who won 3 titals 1991 1992. And 1993 and Luke Cornet is on the chicago Bears right now and Go Irish
Why ND doesn’t play in the Big Ten I will never understand. Yearly matchups against mich, sparty, osu, and Purdue.... easily would become the best geographical group of rivalries in the nation, in my opinion of course...
Back in 1909 Notre Dame beat Michigan for the first time. Fielding Yost canceled the next year's game and refused to schedule the Irish again. He also lead the way in blocking Notre Dame's entrance to the then Western Conference. We haven't forgotten. I am astonished that ND joined the Big 10 for hockey.
