Japan is so beautiful! I only saw one city and that was Sasebo many years ago, that gold flake ice cream was unbelievable! We actually have a liquor here in Austria called Goldschläger, which is a schnapps with actual gold flakes inside. Thanks again for sharing, I always enjoy your videos, they are so interesting, it feels almost as if I was walking right along with y'all!
Man I gotta admit, I LOVE me some Goldschläger! I had it when I a few years back & now definitely remember there being gold flakes in there, but I guess I'd forgotten that the little flakes could be edible because the wrapping of gold that they put on the ice cream had me a tiny bit worried there at the beginning LOL. It was really such a cool experience though. Japan's such a cool country to visit & honestly we'd never have visited Kanazawa had we not set out to do what we're doing now. Oh my gosh you're going to LOVE it!!! If we're being completely honest with you, it's the PERFECT place to visit in Japan. It still feels so authentic & doesn't have a huge amount of tourists. We both talked non-stop during our visit how we could've spent a whole lot more time there & been completely happy. You're going to have such a great experience!! Kanazawa looked like a somewhat off the beaten path sorta place, but though small with a lot to offer. I told my wife you were in Kanazawa and she said "oh I lived in Kanazawa." I said "is that where Tokai University is?" And she said "wait a minute I have to look it up." It turns out she lived and studied in Kanagawa, just one letter different in the spelling but a whole nother place. I think we can forgive her since it was forty years ago. Looking forward to your next stop in the big city, are you going to walk through the famous Shibuya crossing?
That's incredible that she studied abroad at that time!!! I'm sure Japan's changed so much since she was studying there, but Japan does such an exceptional job of still retaining its historical charm. As far as our time in Tokyo, our videos are going to be a little bit different! We went to Tokyo last December & did a lot of the touristy things in the city, including Shibuya Crossing. But these next two videos are about visiting some really popular attractions!! Hi! We stayed three nights, but one of the days we actually had to travel back to Kyoto for filming. If you visit Kanazawa, you can definitely do everything we did in this video in one day. Japan and the country you live in have completely different cultures and customs, so I would like to give advice to foreigners traveling to Japan from a Japanese person. First, please learn enough Japanese to go shopping and ask directions before coming to Japan. Japanese people are generally kind, so even if you can't speak Japanese, they will try to help you if you are having trouble. Outside of Japan, even people who don't understand the language will yell at you in a language they don't understand, but in Japan it's rare. After all, Japanese people find it annoying if you can't speak Japanese. Next, as I mentioned at the beginning, Japanese culture is completely different from other countries. It is completely different from Asian countries. If you cannot accept the cultural differences, please do not come to Japan. And Japanese people don't ask you for your opinion on culture and customs. Answer the following questions to find out why. 1. Is the public safety in Japan worse than in your country? 2. Is there more garbage on the streets and streets in Japan than in your country? Japanese people are satisfied because they were able to create a country that no other country could. Lastly, please don't live in Japan. Japanese people and non-Japanese people have different cultural customs and ways of being human. In fact, in cities where many non-Japanese people live, public safety has worsened, and the cities themselves have become polluted with more trash. Just as a Japanese person cannot become a person of your country, you cannot become a Japanese person either. So please give up on living in Japan. I think there are some people who will lose interest in Japan or even hate Japan after reading this. I don't feel anything Because it is individual freedom. The above is my advice for foreigners traveling to Japan as a single Japanese person. I think I wrote something very harsh. However, if the situation were reversed, you would think the same thing as me.

I agree with you @choko4244. When visiting Japan, I found the Japanese people to be very warm and kindhearted. But it is also very reserved. I have adjusted my wardrobe to match the styles I saw by covering my shoulders and chest, wearing longer clothing. It is also essential to match the cleanliness etiquette (including shoes) and not wear strong deodorant or perfume or even clothes detergent, that overwhelms the delicate scents of foods in restaurants and hotels. For example don't do personal grooming on the open streets, pointing with chopsticks etc. A lot of visitors are arriving and many clearly love Japan, its culture, its food, its sense of aesthetics, but loving also means to understand the culture, its sensibilities and traditions. It is simply honoring a country's norms that should be respected, no matter where you travel. Try to speak a little of the language, read about the customs, then we will not end up like what's currently happening in Spain, where locals begin to resent the outsiders. Thank you.
