I've been to College GameDay at the University of Washington and in Philadelphia for the Army-Navy game. But nothing comes close to this. I remember driving 10 hours through the night from Georgia to get to my alma mater for this particular episode of College GameDay. I was there the day prior for the Pat McAfee Show and met Pat and all the guys afterward. They even collectively autographed a football for my daughter. My friends and I, some still in class/some alumni, made it to the Quad two and a half hours early for the show. But it didn't matter. Place was absolutely PACKED and is easily a day I'll never forget. An unreal experience. No place does GameDay better than James Madison University.
Still coming from a fan of the back to back national champions, jmu deserves a bowl chance. They’d win the sun belt and prove a worthy contender in a bowl game. App state has had a lackluster year and got lucky.
Be careful what you ask for....there are a few Sunbelt teams that consistently beat big 5 teams. Michigan ranked 5th at the time, Texas A&M (ranked 6th at the time). College football is better when its not just about the usual suspects. I'm not a JMU fan but 10-0 in 2nd year in BCS is impressive.

They want all that smoke they don't care who it's against! Crazy to think back that I was placed in the freshman dorm with all the freshman football players back in the day when we were D-2 and then whatever it was like 1-AA... to see where they have come since those '03-'08 years is crazy

James Madison EARNED THE RIGHT TO PLAY , they are UNDEFEATED and before you get at me bcoz I went to community college I was a fan of Boise state when they went undefeated and beat Oklahoma in the fiesta bowl
